Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port

We stayed just one night prior to our cruise and this hotel was perfect! They provided an airport shuttle and a free breakfast. The room was clean and nicely designed and the outdoor pool was refreshing. The hotel staff was welcoming and helped with dinner reservations.

Didn’t like the fact that they charge $20/person to go to the ship. Air conditioning in the room was noisy.

This was a sleep over before a cruise and the only reason we chose it was for the free shuttle for the cruise terminal but the free shuttle was only for the airport. The shuttle for the cruise terminal was $20.00 per personne.

Only one negative comment. Charging $10 a night to park. Seems very nickel and dime.

My family enjoyed the room. It was spacious and clean. They got it ready early for us when we arrived. The pool was great. My only little complaint was the pillows weren’t that great. All in all we had a good time.

Room was great, more than we neede for 1 night before our cruise. Waited 45mins for airport transfer, but was able to check in early. Did ask bar tender, if there was a restaurant to walk to. Told of one, mostly seafood. Wish there was more info. Of the area. Found a dollar store, and more places to eat, by walking a different direction, next day.Breakfast was great . Cruiseport, transfer, $20/pp. overall, a bit expensive stay.

Good location for the airport. We had a 2 bedroom suite, clean, but bed was a bit hard, light still came through the black out blinds and the road was noisy. Have been in suites which have been bigger but it was ok for 5 of us for one night. 2 bathrooms, the main room was a great size. Plenty of towels provided too. Pool was a good size, very warm but was in the shade in both the morning and afternoon when we were there. (Most would probably be happy but we wanted a last few hours of sunshine!) Would stay here again.

Convenient, but dated. Lots of interior construction and exterior noise. Friendly staff.

The property was clean, quiet and had a nice breakfast buffet. The airport shuttle was there on time and took us right to our airline check in point.

Everything was very clean, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would stay there over and over.

I experienced severe allergies due to the dust mites in the bed to the point that it triggered my asthma.The room, laundry room, and hallways were also not clean.There were small bugs in the bathroom as well. On the other hand, we appreciated the breakfast and laundry facilities. The front staff were friendly and nice.

The room was musty smelling. The hall was needed a vacuum. The pool looked great and dining area was very nice. Appreciated the airport transportation. Also there was banging on the walls, I assume construction at 9am.

I checked in to be told the type of room i booked was only available in handicap rooms. Also, the shower had hair on the walls.as if it wasn't cleaned after last check-out.

The staff was kind but my room (and many other rooms) weren't available at the designated check-in time. We had to wait almost an hour to be able to access our rooms. The room was beautiful, however there was a line of ants from the sink to the living room space. I called the desk twice to address it but no one answered.

Although the room layout is very convenient and the hotel itself has decent amenities, the carpets throughout the building need to be cleaned or replaced as there is a faint dirty/musty smell throughout the hallways and the smell was present in the room we stayed in. Although I didn’t enjoy the odor, what made the stay terrible was the quality of the mattress and pillows. The mattress needed to be replaced ages ago and the pillows were in really poor condition. I honestly didn’t get an hour of sleep because the bed was so uncomfortable.

It's a beautiful property. The layout of the room is great and even has a kitchen. The bed is a little too hard for me but worked for my husband. I woke up with an aching back.

AC is noisy

Nice hotel. Stayed the night before our cruise and night after. We had one bedroom rooms, different layouts, both were nice and spacious. Took the cruise to & from airport. There is a separate service charge for cruise shuttle so we Ubered XXL for HALF the cost. Free breakfast was decent. Beds are fine but the pillows were just awful. As soon as our head hit them they flattened out completely. If there was one thing to change that’s what it would be the pillows.

Staff upon arrival was not very friendly, asked to have the two rooms on the same floor and after he gave us a bit of a difficult time he did find two rooms on the same floor but at the complete opposite ends of the building. The hotel was not full so I think he was just being nasty.

Room-clean. Breakfast-decent. ADA room - Insufficient for stroke survivor. Requested a room with roll-in shower. Shower was not roll-in. It had a huge lip at the threshold. We requested & received a shower stool & husband was able to step in. I assisted him as he attempted to shower. It had only one grab bar. It had no hand-held shower wand (neither bathroom in our 2-bedroom suite had a wand). The position of the shower head and soap dispensers were too far from the the grab bar and from the handle used to turn on the shower. They were about 3 - 5 feet apart. I placed a towel on the shower floor and put the shower seat in & attempted to help husband get closer to the shower head, but it turned out to be unsafe & he almost slipped. I decided to get him out & he could only take a wash up at the sink. Desk clerk - rude regarding our request for late check-out. He gave us 12 noon & said it was all that was available. We were attempting to gather our things and we went a little past noon. I was charged a $50 late fee. We left the room at around 12:45 p.m. As seniors making every effort to gather our things to leave, we should not have been charged as a courtesy, since there were no guests in the lobby waiting for a room. Airport shuttle - was late, then left us. 2nd driver came but dropped us between terminals after passing ours & refused to circle back. I had to walk a long distance dragging 3 pieces of heavy luggage, with husband following in his wheelchair. Terrible service.

We arrived late, as did others. The shuttle got us from the airport asap, was kind, careful with our luggage. The check in attendant was beyond helpful. Gave us great information about our cruise the next day. Was very cheerful yet gave off a calm vibe which was so nice after the hectic airport. We will choose this place again for sure.

Close to the airport free shuttle phone the hotel well in advance maybe before you get off. The plane and be specific as to where you are waiting .we had to call three times waited 1.5 hours . It appears the shuttle only picked up section e lower. .To find that spot turn left at the terminal doors. Go to section e.Note there are two section e sites one to your left one to your right . Port shuttle is 20 usd per person .

There are not a lot of restaurants in the area that you can access simply by walking.

The property and room was clean, the hotel is away from all the hustle and bustle and quick drive from the FLL airport. The breakfast was also good with various options.

From checking in to checking out this hotel was FAB!! A great way to start your day is by getting the coffee and breakfast that is offered - wide variety of items for everyone!! Not one complaint about this hotel!!
