Proximity to Groupama stadium and access to shuttle for stadium was good. Shower room had a bad odor, no sink in toilet area, no tissues, another pillow would be nice. Key card was broken. Front desk tried reprogramming twice, but it did not help. They eventually issued a new card. Construction was being done around the hotel, hopefully it will make the hotel more appealing.

Agréable séjour, on était de passage pour un concert. C'était vraiment top de pouvoir laisser la voiture dans un parking sécurisé et de prendre la navette à 5min pour aller au stade. L'acceuil nous a donné tous les renseignements nécéssaire, c'était vraiment cool. La chambre était propre, spacieuse, moderne et l'eau chaude arrive vite :D Seul bémol si je puis dire, c'est que j'aurais aimé plus d'oreillers.

The staff were very friendly, with the receptionist ( cant remember her name, dark hair and Tattoos) very helpful and great English. Im sorry my french is not better. But....the evening meal was amazing...the Chef is so talented. If you stay for a night or two have the Buffet....sooo tasty

The woman at reception, Morgan Jenkins, could not have been more helpful, she was brilliant and spoke great English as well. The room was big and comfortable, but was no frills e.g lacked an iron and any tea/ coffee facilities but otherwise clean and exactly what we needed. It is well out of town so own transport needed or there is a tram about 10 minutes walk away. There is a McDonald’s next door but otherwise no obvious restaurants nearby. If you have your own car ensure you ask for on site parking ( they have a big Carpark, but I wouldn’t want to leave it in the nearby area). We paid for breakfast which was a decent enough selection, typically continental, but sadly on second day they had completely run out of the cooked meat and the hastily prepared scrambled eggs were verging on inedible ( hard, burnt) but that aside it was fine. This hotel is clearly for short stays where the main aim is to sleep comfortably whilst in transit, but as I say it was exactly what we needed and if that is what you need it is perfect.

J’ai perdu 146,07€ sans avoir de chambre. Arrivé à l’hôtel, quasiment vide, vers 19h30 un mardi 15 juillet, le réceptionniste m’a appris que j’avais réservé par mégarde une chambre pour personne à mobilité réduite (PMR), on me refuse la chambre et il exige un supplément inacceptable de 60€ pour une chambre normale. Les prix des chambres de l’hôtel, à ces dates, sont plus bas que d’habitude. Les chambres PMR misent en avant sur internet, c’est l’origine de l’erreur, sont au même prix que les chambres normales sur mon application (preuve à l’appui, douche italienne). J’ai refusé de payer le supplément, l’accueil refuse de me rembourser ni de solutionner le problème, ni de contacter un responsable. C’est probablement une nouvelle technique pour piéger les clients au dernier moment afin d’augmenter les prix de la chambre, du jamais vu. J’ai du parti sans chambre! Le lendemain j’ai insisté par téléphone pour avoir ma facture, on m’a expliqué que je devais recevoir une amande de 135€ pour avoir pris une chambre handicapée. Le trouble de l’accueil client de cette hôtel est impossible à raisonner. Imaginez-vous en pareil situation, une famille avec enfants mise à la porte, après avoir payé leurs chambres car dans l’impossibilité de payer un supplément exorbitant. L’accueil client de l’hôtel « Des Lumières » n’est donc pas lumineux, désagréable et cupide, l’argent bien mal acquis ne profite jamais.

Hôtel à fuir. A votre arrivée on vous demande votre carte d'identité et on vous la photocopie... Ce qui est interdit. Le faisant remarquer on nous demande de remplir une fiche de police contenant nos données personnelles. Pourtant nous sommes de nationalité française et cette fiche est réservée aux ressortissants étrangers. Cette pratique abusive de l'hôtel pose question. De plus, concernant les prestations de la chambre, la literie est décevante, très/trop ferme (mal de dos assuré) ; la température de l'eau de douche est brûlante et n'est pas réglable. Passez votre chemin.

L'établissement etait correct, la literie bonne mais le gros soucis est le manque de professionnalisme du personnel de réception, désagréable, pas serviable, pas commercant, a la limite de l'irrespect. Un petit conseil lorsqu'une cliente arrive sans avoir réservé et vous demande un tarif pdj inclus interessant, soyez au courant des prix proposés sur internet ... le receptionniste a été touché dans son ego lorsqu'il m'annonce 130€ et que je vois 95€ sur hotels.com... client pigeon allez dans cet établissement, ceux qui ont un peu d'intelligence privilegiront de donner leur argent à des personnes honnêtes.

Deux personnes a l'accueil , Jafar et un autre. Parmis les deux, le premier nous a accueilli de manière infecte. Irrespectueuse et presque menaçante quand nous avons exprimé notre mécontentement. Jai expliqué que "nous allions nous calmer" car il était excité "on va voir" m'a t'il répondu. Son collègue lui a proposé de prendre la suite et celui ci a été très calme et compréhensif. Nous avons pris le petit déjeuner. Il ne restait presque plus rien de frais, plus de jus de fruit et plus de pain pour un petit dej a 13€/personne. C'est décevant.

The bed was outstanding. The breakfast was good. It is in a remote location but we walked to the stadium and that was fine. it's about a 10-15m wander to the tramline as well that gets you into Part Dieu very easily.

Great hotel if you are attending a concert at the Groupama stadium as the park and ride bus is only a 5 min walk. Its also only a 20 min from the Rhone express which is the direct tram from the airport. The hotel was modern and the staff were great and very helpful. It’s not in the fanciest part of town but don’t let this put you off. It was a great find.

The staff were very friendly, with the receptionist ( cant remember her name, dark hair and Tattoos) very helpful and great English. Im sorry my french is not better. But....the evening meal was amazing...the Chef is so talented. If you stay for a night or two have the Buffet....sooo tasty

Having missed a flight we booked in late Saturday night. Front desk and all staff very plesant, accodating and spoke good english. Very clean throughout. Short but excellent stay and would do it again.

Very poor. Carpet was very stained and unpleasant. Didn't feel clean to walk on it and i wasn't keen for my children to use the sofa bed and walk on the carpet around it.
