No stove, but you can heat up your food in microwave. Great hostel, very clean, night market is just across the street

Stayed 1 night

Stayed in 1E for 2 nights. The hostel was difficult to find as there's only a tiny sign on the wall on the entrance of the building. The hostel has a homely and welcoming design with an area that looks like a living room, while the shared kitchen has two large dining tables. The kitchen also has a fridge/freezer, microwave, lots of utensils, cups and a water dispenser. My room had 8 bunks, 4 each against the walls with the central aisle free. Each bed was allocated a small locker only large enough to hold valuables. I had to put my backpack on the floor. The bed had 2 electrical points, a private light and privacy curtains. The mattress was thin and the bed was firm. Not uncomfortable, but firm. There was a fan, A/C and two dehumidifiers in the room. The room was still warm even at night and I had to have the privacy curtain open to let air ventilate.. The boys bathroom had 3 showers, 3 toilets and 3 urinals. Soap and shampoo were provided as well as fair dryers and ear buds were also provided. The only downside is that there's no geyser in the toilet and the bathroom is too hot. There's several WiFi points in the hotel. For the most part, the WiFi works well.and is fast, but it does occasionally cut out. Overall, I had a comfortable stay. The location is walking distance to the train station, MRT, Liouhe Night Market and there's plenty of shopping, cafes and restaurants around. The staff can be brusque at times or friendly, seemingly at different times of the day.
