Very nice cozy room. Had the basics. It was clean. Modern electrical in optimal spots, even though the rooms were a little older. Small market on site was convenient. I liked the fact that we were able to walk into the main part of town easily, never needing our car. Staff was superfriendly and accommodating.

This was a nice simple plase to stay. We had our dog and we loved that it was pet friendly. Easy walk to town. Very nice customer service.

What an amazing little property! We saw this place while walking around Virginia City on a previous trip and had to stay here due to it being within 2-3 minutes walking distance from the main strip of C street. Check in was a breeze and the little store was extremely convenient.. it’s a literal mini mart attached to the hotel which is fantastic for snacks and drinks considering there isn’t a Walmart or 7-11 in Virginia City. Highly recommend staying here.. it’s within walking distance of everything you could or should want to see in town. We will definitely return here on our next stay!

Great motel to stay at. Conveniently located at the end of the commercial area of Virginia City, but walking distance to everything. The store was an added bonus. The room was updated and decorated in country rustic decor - very nice, light, and clean. Microwave and small refrigerator included. The staff was was friendly and helpful.

The facility was super clean and the staff was amazing. Any request we had, they delivered to make our stay more comfortable. The general store at the motel had many items and the prices were good. Free coffee and danishes for guests in the mornings. My husband and I will absolutely stay there again.

Candace , her husband and staff are awesome. Having a golf cart to take us from there to downtown was so awesome.

We loved staying here. They were so welcoming and they even offer a golf cart ride to wherever you need to go. They were helpful with where to go in town and seems like they know everyone. We left feeling like family. We definitely will come back!

Very cute, older property. Comfortable beds, easy walk to restaurants, shops and bars. Very friendly staff. Parking directly in front of our room. Definitely recommend this property!

Property looks very clean on the outside and has recently been remodeled, however they do not mop or sweep the floors and our feet and socks were disgusting. Had our bathroom window open and they have garbage behind the building. Could be a very nice little hotel if it was cleaned up and maintained.

Location was excellent, property was cluttered with what appeared to be old yard sale junk which limited access to our room. The walkway to the room looked like it hasn't seen a broom in weeks. Toilet wouldn't flush, they fixed it as soon as we told them about it, was a ring around the tub, the door seems to have been kicked some time ago. The little market was well stocked with a good variety of snacks, drinks and meal stuffs. The staff was great!

Charming and creative interior. Great bed. Quaint and quiet. The floors needed a good mopping, but the area is at the end of the wet & muddy season so likely that is scheduled. Otherwise the room was immaculate. We will stay again.

The property behind the unit was not kept so if you opened the bathroom window it looked like a junk yard. The room floor was dirty - if you walked with bare feet - your feet were dirty very quickly.

What an awesome Motel. The staff was amazing, friendly and very helpful. The room was spotless, and had all the amenities a guest would need. The room decor was western/rustic and matched the towns personality perfectly. You can instantly tell that the folks running this place take pride and care in what they do. Awesome Job!!!

The hotel is walking distance to the main drag of shops/restaurants/bars/tourist attractions and the staff was all super nice but it’s a bit run down (hotels in the blankets/sheets and in the wallpaper, old stained carpet…) and the walls are pretty thin, our room Was right next to the office/store and we could fully hear conversations as well as people talking outside in front of the room… given all that-I thought it a bit pricey for what we got.

Awesome. Very clean. Ac worked perfectly. Had comfortable beds, cold showers and run by fantastic folks. Its a yes please when visiting Virginia City.

It was the worst place I have ever stayed. My son and I woke up with bug bites. The bathroom was dirty. The shower barely worked. I should have left as soon as I checked in

The hotel was in terrible condition and the noise was extremely loud outside and room to room.

Being in Virginia City, Nevada think along the lines of Old West, and then it will make sense that this motel is quite "rural" and built how many decades ago? Sadly, we didn't take photos of the room. The owners are giving this old motel a needed face lift and the shower was awesome! Very spa like and I was envious of it. Like a natural rain.The owner really tricked this one out! The towels are plentiful, soft, and smell great. The room itself was not big, but again, think "rural'. The owners were quite gracious and got the flat TV screen to work. The bed was comfortable. And because the motel is directly facing a major street, we took everything of importance out of our car for the night. Even though we always lock our car. The motel is within walking distance to the many quaint shops and eateries. They have a small market on the premises. The only negative: Find out if the heater is working. Remember, the owners are revamping an old motel. And we didn't want to bother them as it was after 8 p.m. But the heater was broken. It was a good thing we didn't have a lighter (We're non-smokers) thinking we could get the pilot light on. That would have been a huge mistake! But the owner did make a point to remind us after they got the TV working, that anything we need - Anything, give them a call. It is not a bother after all he is the owner and would gladly help his customers. They make good on that! * Very friendly staff! * And a decent stay in old, Virginia City.

The room was VERY small. The pillows kept sinking between the wall and the mattress. When propped up in bed to watch TV it felt like the head of the mattress was way lower than the foot of the bed. In the morning went to take a shower, was super excited because it looked like a nice shower but the water pressure was awful. The people were great, super friendly. First thing i noticed when i walked in the room, besides how small the room was, was the quilt on the bed. It was beautiful. The room had everything you would need, fridge, microwave, A/C, heat...ect. but there was no curtain on bathroom window or any type of covering for privacy. If anyone had walked behind the room they could have seen everything. Because of the size of the room it was a juggling act at times to get in or out of bathroom. You had to make sure you were covered or dressed if front door was opened for the other person to enter or exit the room. It was clean aside from some stains on the carpet and the carpet was an outlandish color and pattern. The bathroom was tastefully decorated. I know i was there on a holiday weekend and options there are limited but with everything in mind i feel it was overpriced. I did enjoy the experience, i liked the location...very quiet and peaceful, the view across the street was wonderful. It may have a queen size bed but the room is more suited for a single guest. I am sorry if this seems harsh. It was kind if cute, nice location, friendly people

Surprisingly comfortable for a relatively small room. It is obvious that the owner has taken a lot of time and put in $ to upgrade the room (can only speak for room #10). Bathroom was beautiful. Bed was comfortable, linens were soft. Small store onsite was a plus. All the staff were very nice and helpful.

Older property in a remote tourist area. Bed was comfortable and the room, although extremely small, was livable but would be claustrophobic if you did anything other than sleep there. No hot water in the shower and required a birdbath in the sink which had hot water. Friendly and helpful staff made sure anything they could take care of they did. The mattress was very comfortable and outside noises we limited.

The room was really quaint and all the naughty pine wood, and the quilt on the bed was so inviting. Even the old timey refrigerator fit right in with the whole room decor. We loved it we wish we would’ve made reservations for more nights than one.

Cute, quaint, clean rooms (we were told we got an updated room). A little on the small side but we knew that prior to booking. Just a short walk to the area with all of the bars/restaurants/shops.

Small Town - Older Motel - Dottie who checked us in was very nice. Not sure about the "kitties in the box" may not be good for those allergic to cats - and the area being a grocery store/coffee-donut station. Picture of room just like on the website - Water Pressure Good - Needs Better pillows or extras - Unable for 2 people to pass each other when walking around - very tight - No place to hang clothing - Left in suitcase- Not soundproof - listened to woman crying about her boyfriend "he is so mean at 2:30 am" Watched starting of parade from there. Golf Cart was a Good Service - The one thing: If you are going to relax - just note that the owners ? that lived there ? were very loud and talked the entire time - complaining mostly about her family ? and a guy named Jay ? If not in person - the one lady would be on the phone complain to the person on the other end. The kids? where running amok around here and there screaming etc. The other place on the property was very dishelved out side. My recommendation - good place if you need to stop for a quick night - not for a relaxing weekend. I would stay in Reno or Carson and just Uber Up and Down for an event.

Hotels.com states, for this hotel, "Exempts fees for service animals". My partner who is a paraplegic has 2 service dogs, 5 lb and 10 lb, and were trained to detect medical situations. She has all the necessary state and town paperwork and were offered to hotel employees to verify at check in. During the stay one of the hotel employees informed me that there will be a $25.00 charge for cleaning because of the service animals. I once again stated they were service animals and she says it doesn't matter. My question is why does Hotels.com state " Service animals exempt from fees"? When it was time to check out my partner went in and asked why they weren't following Hotels.com rules and her rights. The hotel employee proceeded to tell her that Service animal paperwork is a sham and stereotyped my partner she was doing the same thing although my partner walks with forearm crutches and plastic ankle supports. This employee also stated that she follows Nevada laws not other states laws. How ignorant , Disabled citizens laws are federal. My partner went in the lobby not to argue, but to question and this employee was arguing with her like she was a school child. Hotels.com needs to take this complaint seriously . Disabled people rights are not being followed and hotels like this are going to tarnish the reputation of Hotels.com and other booking agents.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, had a great time staying here and definitely will be coming back

We entered our room at approximately 11:45pm. The room temperature was approximately 54 degrees. The only source for heat was a portable space heater that took almost an hour to raise the room temperature to a comfortable level. The girl who checked us in was extremely friendly. The guy who checked us out, not so much.

It was so relaxing. The property owner was amazing made you feel at home. Was up front and honest about the rules. Just an amazing experience.

A goid stay. Staf was indifferent. I had to engage in conversation to get a friendly reaponse. There is a pet fee I found out about after I arrived, not mentioknwd on the aite I booked with and I booked because they allowed peta which was great. Convenient a fairly close walking distance but i recomend wearing shoes that support because you walk on wooden plank walkways. VIRGINIA city is pretty much closed Monday , Tues and Wednesday and not many reataurants to choose from. A lot of bars though. I dont drink but still fun shopping there. Wed was mostly open.

We like to stay at the sugarloaf when visiting VC. It’s a short walk to town and the rooms are super cute.

Rooms extremely well maintained and comfortable. Perfect quiet location but very walkable and convenient location.

We originally booked this motel for 2 nights, not knowing how long we would stay in Virginia City. Ultimately, we opted to stay a 3rd night and were able to keep our room (12). This room is probably the most private room with an entrance on the second floor at the back of the building. There is a private little balcony with a table and chairs. The room was clean and with the window A/C, it stayed at a comfortable temperature. My room complaint would be that the bed could be better. It was comfortable enough, but it is a spring mattress and I could feel every time my wife would move. The front desk is also a little store with a good selection of snacks, drinks and toiletries. Everyone that we encountered working here was very friendly and they have a golf cart/shuttle to take you into the heart of town. You could definitely walk it, but it’s a bit of a hike. There is a Mexican restaurant a couple of doors down and the food was pretty good. If you get in late, it’s one of the only places open. My only other complaint that I have with this motel is that there was an area in the front that was a bit cluttered with miscellaneous items which included some tools and possibly some building materials. This may be a temporary issue… Maybe some work being done in a couple rooms. That being said, it’s not a deal breaker for us. We will be back to Virginia City and will likely try to book this motel again.

It is a sweet hotel, small but nice. It does need more light by the bed as I like to read at night. You’ll have to wait if you’re a coffee drinker until 8am.
