We stayed for three weeks in one of the three bungalows on the side during September. It now looks even more green than in the pictures. We were surrounded by many blooming flowers and a lot of green plants. This is a view you very rarely get in the region in early autumn. The host was very hospitable. We were able to talk often about Crete and the surrounding area. The apartment was cleaned and towels and line where changed once a week, what really surprised us positively. Apart from the sea and the purring of the friendly cats on the property, there is hardly anything to hear, although one of the essential main roads in the area is only a few metres away. It is very easy to explore the area by rental car from there. The well-equipped kitchen makes self-catering possible. A restaurant is within walking distance. However, better restaurants (and wonderful secluded sandy beaches) can be reached in about 20 minutes by car.

We lived for 14 days in an oasis surrounded by palm vines and olive trees and flower beds around the house. The house is furnished very appropriately and tastefully with good kitchen facilities. From the living room there was access to two terraces so there was always the possibility of shelter and sunshine. From one terrace there is a view of the Mediterranean Sea and the possibility of a short evening trip down to the sea and enjoying the sunset. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful with guidance about our visit to East Crete. The house is just a 10-minute drive from Sitia. And should there be an interest in Minoan culture, the area is definitely worth visiting, as well as the very fine museum in Sitia. We can highly recommend a stay in these beautiful surroundings and will be happy to return.
