Certosa di Pontignano Residenza d'Epoca - Place of Charme

Excellent hotel located in a former monastery. Historic buildings with 2 cloisters off which were the rooms. We had an amazing apartment with lounge/ diner. Kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 balconies! Staff were friendly and very helpful. Food at dinner and at breakfast was excellent. Thoroughly recommend this rural hotel!

Top notch! Spacious rooms, grand hallways with high curved ceilings, grand and indulgent breakfast where we sat out on the stone terrace. Large bathroom with two sinks. Very spacious bedrooms that overlook gardens and the Tuscan countryside. Helpful staff who assisted with our rental car issue (Budget)—dead battery. Historic cloister. We took Nonna Chiana’s cooking class nearby—fabulous! Then meandered on a short drive. Glad we did Not stay inside Siena. This was memorable. Peaceful. We bought pizza and wine one night and sat out on the terrace with the sunset.

The hotel is amazing, also good location if want to be near many wineries. Staff super nice and helpful.
