Clean and the staff is seriously amazing the breakfast is really good we got breakfast included with our stay and there pool is definitely a plus with kids

The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the pillows were amazing, staff was friendly and helpful, and the jacuzzi was fantastic.

Very clean and accommodating hotel. Ample parking. Spacious rooms. They require you to pay for breakfast. This could be a reason for some not to select this location, as most hotels near by offer the exact same options, and more, free of charge. Very friendly staff!

Check in was seamless and quick. Very friendly staff. The grounds are cute, the pool is beautiful, and there is a fun area for cornhole and other games. The restaurant food was above expectations. Unfortunately, our room neighbors threw a party in the middle of the night and things got pretty rowdy. It was awful. I called down to the front desk, and requested a room change. It was really inconvenient because I had to move my 10 year old daughter at 1:30am. We slept horribly because of the party and then our adrenaline was high. I was really impressed by the hotel's willingness to help us. It could have been a much worse experience given the horrible neighbors.

The staff were welcoming and professional. The room was spotless.

My room had soiled bedsheet with blood and so do the bath towel. Not sure what happened. Cleaning staff didn’t clean my room. Finally a front desk person. Lilliana was so nice and had someone clean it up

The first room I checked into had a clogged sink and then I was put in another room next to it. It looked clean but smelled very musty/moldy and my nose immediately started to run upon entrance. I was tired so I stayed and the allergies cleared as soon as I left the hotel. Despite the website saying they remodeled in this year…the room was worn down with lots of chips and scratches on the furniture. The bed was comfortable and it seemed somewhat clean but could use a deep clean….the shower head and the sink were not shiny clean and had a lot of residue. Definitely felt worn down. Also you can hear the neighbors (walls seem very thin). Besides that it’s a super safe neighborhood and the staff were kind:)

My family and I got some sort of bug bites. We woke up with bug bites and we felt itchy as soon as we lay in the bed

My brief stay at this hotel was fine. Nothing fabulous but the price was reasonable. My one objection is there was still quite a bit of noise from a couple nearby rooms between 10pm and midnight.

It was a very spacious room, bed was wonderfull. In the morning the breakfast was delicieus.

The stay was okay. The construction above our floor was very noisy. Also the AC in the room was older and rattled loudly enough to keep us awake.

Room was larger than most. King bed was super comfortable. All the staff was extremely courteous and accommodating. Surrounding area was clean and easy to navigate. Would stay here again. 3-4 star place with really good service and cleanliness.

Very nice hotel, comfortable room. However, there was a kid upstairs that kept us up. The noise was awful, we heard running at 1:30 am. We had to call the front desk

Everything was just ok. The first room we had was falling apart: worn floors and furniture, air conditioner was super loud and sounded broken (woke me up every time it went on), not very clean in general, stained floors, dirty walls, wall paper peeling, etc. We asked to be moved to a new room the second night we were there and that room was better but still just ok: worn furniture, not very clean. The front desk staff was super nice but the team who clean don’t seem to do a very thorough job. Overall the stay was fine, but I won’t be back.

My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn as an over night prior to a morning surgery. This Holiday Inn is one of the best hotel stays we have experienced from the time we arrived until we left the next morning, the desk staff was kind, extremely attentive and provided the best customer service. The hotel itself is extremely clean and comfortable. Allot of dining options nearby and plenty of free parking. We will definitely stay here afain when we visit Carlsbad. Highly recommend.

Pleasant front desk staff let me check in early. I explained that I wasn’t feeling well and the accommodated me with a smile. I would definitely stay here again because of that.

I went out of my way to write a review which I have rarely have done. Booked a couple of nights for a much needed vacation for me & my daughter. Plan was to take her to Legoland and give myself a couple of days relaxing with the pool; not leave for anything else. It was in the middle of a business center so the area was just packed with cars coming in and out of the area. Scooters and bikes coming out of nowhere. My biggest issue was practically everyone that worked there, with the exception of about two people. Everyone seemed miserable & annoyed to be working there. I was given attitude by almost everyone w/anything I asked like food/drinks. I was given the wrong info on breakfast so I had to scramble From the front desk, everyone at the bar and restaurant, and anyone I asked a question to. I didn't know I had to roll in my own stuff so I assumed they had bellhops when I saw luggage carts. When I asked the front desk, they were so bewildered that I even asked. I just said forget it and did it on my own. Every one seemed so bothered that by the first night I was nervous to order a drink or any food. I felt I was bothering them and felt the tension. Did not change rest of trip. Running out of room so the other stuff: Ants in room, roaches & a huge spider all over my stuff at pool. Cleaning services were not prompt I had to take out my own trash a few times. No food or drinks during 10-5 so I had to leave to go get stuff which so much for a relaxing vacation.

We stayed 2 nights. We did not have room service the first day. When I called at 4:00 in the afternoon the dest said someone would be right up. 30 minutes later no service. I talked to the "manager" and told him i want to rest and just send clean towels and coffee etc. I explained to him if I were at a Hampton they would comp the room as they have satisfaction guaranteed. He said he offered service and I refused so no compensation or restitution. No mor holiday inns for me.

The staff is not honest and does not honor their word. I called to add an additional night but they didn't have any more 2 bed rooms available, only 1 bed. They suggested I book at their other Holiday Inn location nearby. I didn't want to check in, out, then in, & out again. The manager said she would honor my cancellation for my 1 night at the 1st hotel & book 2 nights at the other. I'd booked a nonrefundable reservation through Expedia, & was concerned about not getting a refund. The manager at Guest Servicss assured me I would be fine. I just had to go through Expedia & they'd need to contact Holiday Inn & as long as the hotel gave approval to cancel & refund, they would honor it. I eagerly contacted Expedia to complete the cancellation. When Expedia contacted Holiday Inn, they were told, "No approval for cancellation or refund." I called Guest Services back, gave them my case number, the personnel went to speak with the previous manager I spoke with who had assured me of my refund, & came back to tell me "that manager doesn't remember promising you a refund, we will have to listen to the recording of your conversation but it takes 24 hours" I was supposed to be checking in that evening in just a couple of hours. I couldnt wait 24 hrs, we'd have to sleep in our car. Very unprofessional. If they just honored my refund, they would actually make more because I would be paying for 2 nights instead of 1. Now they just get my 1 night reservation & I'm taking my $ elsewhere

The pool was out of towels. We asked the front desk for more towels for the pool area. She said she would bring them right out. 30 minutes later we were still waiting. We found out another family had asked and was waiting an hour and still no towels. We went inside soaking wet and cold. We complained again they acted like they didn’t care. Also shower door was broken and wouldn’t close.

Near to Brissi Market Place which provided dining and shopping opportunities. Close to Legoland.

Front Desk made a point to know me and ask how things were going every day. Dining is fast and convenient. It's limited to the usual items, but service is top notch. Very safe area. Fair price for room. Will stay again.

Kids probably shouldn’t be permitted to use the utensils and serve themselves given the fact that there were many in the service area that did not have the skills and ability ( some underage, children, sneezing under the guard all over the food items and handling utensils from wrong end - very unsanitary adults, not taking care of their kids) if they are not old enough to pay to eat, parents should be serving their children not exposing the rest of the guests to the possible public hazards that could be avoided.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were nice. The room was clean. The hotel was quiet. The parking lot was easy to find parking in and the surrounding area was safe. The breakfast was delicious and we appreciated that kids get to eat free. It also is just a short drive to Legoland which is why we chose this hotel.

Strike 1: No EV charging available. Strike 2: $18.00 for a bland breakfast buffet. Strike 3: Fire alarm at 4:30 am! Wife and I stood in cold parking lot for 20 minutes with no direction, explanation or apology.

Very close to legoland and kid friendly. Didn’t get to dine at the restaurant due to it being closed every-time we tried. Wish it stayed open later for breakfast as many people are tired and want to get more sleep especially after a long day at legoland the day before. Great for family’s though and very clean!

This is a lovely place to stay, definitely one of my favorites on our trip. The room service and restaurant are amazing and very timely, the breakfast bar was definitely the best out of the 7 hotels we stayed in on this trip, with lots of fresh fruit and a very kid friendly dining area. The room was very clean, the pool was amazing. I loved the fire pits at night they are a great place to wind down. Overall this was a great hotel, very impressive for a holiday inn.
