The Inn at Punxsutawney

Very clean and comfortable beds. My only complaint was the pool was freezing. We booked this hotel specifically for a pool to use in the evening. Disappointed.

Very basic lodging, but clean and oh so quiet! Funny little full bar in the lobby, kind of a fun treat at the end of a long drive!

Staff was very friendly, every part of the hotel clean, beds were comfortable. Hotel doesn't have an elevator but stairs inside are easy to navigate.

They no longer have their hot tub, which was advertised on their website.

Large, comfortable, pet-friendly room. Felt like country setting, close to shopping, with large grassy area for pet-relief and exercise. Didn't use fitness area. It has a large-indoor pool, which wasn't available (maintenance). Great laundry facility. Modest, but adequate breakfast. We enjoyed the outdoor patio area for our take-out Chinese dinner.

New ownership appears to be doing things right. Breakfast options are great. A great dog friendly hotel.

Staff was very friendly and informative, room was nice and clean, and breakfast options were great. If I had to find falut, the only thing I didn't love was the indoor pool was very cold.

Per the pictures and the descriptions, the pool area should have a hot tub or rooms are described as having a whirlpool. The front desk clerk (who was very nice) told me they do not have any hot tubs and the rooms that had the hot tubs were upgraded with Cooktops. I specifically booked the hotel because of the hot tub..I did not want to sit on a cookplate as a consolation!! Otherwise the hotel was nice.. just blantant misrepresentation.

Stayed at cobblestone on a recent trip after seeing pictures of the wheelchair lift for the pool and hottub. Being a wheelchair user, my options for pools are often limited. After checking in, the staff informed me that the pool was out of service. I was stuck in the small town with limited options to do on a Sunday. I later found out that they havent had a functioning pool in months. That's something i would have liked to know before scheduling so i could have went to dubois instead. Most disappointing stay ever..

Oh, what a disappointment this was. The elevator doesn't work and they're still renting out the second floor... where we ended up. The bathroom looked clean, but reeked of pee, like some sort of nasty gas station bathroom. The beds were very uncomfortable, and I'm pretty adaptable so that's saying something. They also advertised down comforters, which was an outright lie. There was a blood stain on my pillowcase. I'm pretty sure I saw either a drug deal or "soliciting" in the parking lot. Very hard to tell, but my instinct said it was bad. Breakfast was mediocre at best, no options for dairy free creamer or other dietary restrictions. To contrast, I had just stayed in a hotel in the middle of a major city, and that one was top-notch for less money. We were on a schedule, arrived later in the evening, and their was absolutely no time or energy left to find and get to a different place, so we were stuck with this. It's a shame, because it's a cute little town, but this hotel was a disgrace.

We have been in Airbnb's and hotels in NY and PA from 9/6 to 9/22. The Inn at Punxatawney was the cleanest!! Congratulations staff, excellent job!

Cleanest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Bedding was top notch. Impressive selection of coffees and teas with breakfast.

Very clean and nice rooms. Area was very nice and quiet. The breakfast was great. Sausage and biscuits, eggs, real slabs of ham, variety of breads, yogurt, hard boil eggs, ect. It was nice the king beds had 5, very nice, pillows. The staff was very nice. Will definitely be back. I disliked nothing about this property .

There are not a lot of places to stay in Punxsutawney. This was very quiet, clean, and comfortable.

The shower curtain smelled of mildew and room had an overall smell. Otherwise okay

You want fancy? Not here. It’s solid. Quiet place, cool staff, relaxed atmosphere, clean everywhere (even during some renovation work in the lobby). Not many motels like this one left…Reasonable price, no frills, comfortable .

This hotel is a pleasant surprise. The room was spotless and looked brand new. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was comparable to any Hilton or Hampton inn

We stayed here as a sort of layover on a longer road trip. This is a fun area as it has the Groundhog Day stuff to look at. The hotel as a little statue and they are placed around town plus the gobblers knob park to check out. The hotel itself is very nice. Spacious rooms decorated in fairly modern decor. The building is in a safe area. The hotel has a bar open until 11 and it has a decent breakfast available in the morning. The rooms are pretty spacious. The bathroom was modern and clean. If passing through the area this is a good hotel choice. Plus the town has quirky statues to look at which are fun. You can also see Phil himself through a window at the civic center. He is usually sleeping apparently.

The beds were very soft (almost too soft). Clean facility and very friendly staff. The breakfast wasn’t great but not terrible.

Internet was good, room was clean. Shower was good, but most of water went through tub spout. Room was well insulated, workers renovating were respectful. All in all, nice.

This was a weekend getaway for us and it was perfect. Very clean. Hot water. Plenty of towels. Bed was nice. We had a sweet so it had plenty of room. Hotel staff were very kind and helpful. This is a smaller and not a chain hotel which made it more comfortable for us. I would recommend staying here.

Both the man at the front desk when we checked in and the woman in the morning were pleasant and kind. The rooms were nice and the overall look of the hotel was pretty. The pillows were flat and gave me a neck ache, but that is my only complaint. The breakfast in the morning was one of the better ones and we all enjoyed it.

The stay was great! Except for the shower, the shower faucet didn't work right, and the shower head had a very strong spray that made it very unpleasant to shower in.

What really stands out is this hotel is the only game in town. However they don’t act like it. We have stayed here multiple times and the staff and property are always top notch. Unreservedly recommend.

Requested room on first floor due to disability- was given 2nd floor accomodations. I pre-booked first floor. My family has a reunion every year (same weekend) in Punxsutawney. I will most likely make other arrangements next year.

The staff were usually found outside smoking and there were a couple who were downright rude. They purposefully kicked the door shut locking us out of the outdoor patio area outside of the pool. The lady angrily kicked the door shut and ignored our attempts to knock and be allowed to come back inside. There are no elevators so this is not for any older or handicapped guests and they have limited rooms in first level. My mom had to make it up and down steps even though she requested a first level room and booked way in advance. I would recommend not booking through Expedia and calling the hotel directly for better pricing. I missed out on a better deal and paid $40 more a night by using this site. The soap is like washing off with thin paint chips. Quality was lacking all round and there is limited competition in the area so I don’t think they really care about customer service. That said, there were some friendly ones working there too and the housekeeping staff seemed nice. They don’t clean your room unless you special request it. The pillows are super small and cheap and lack support. Your hot water will likely run out if more than one person takes a shower on your floor also. Wouldn’t recommend if you can find an air b n b I would go with that.

I realize all prices have gone up everywhere but in the middle of the countryside in Pennsylvania, this hotel charges almost $100 per day. They give no maid service & we were not told we have to request it. Found out, it was the manager of the hotel that checked us in. He should know better. The breakfast had fair selections but ran out of hot items things ran out before 8:00 a.m. or things were cold and hard by 8:00 am. The operator at the desk was sassy when I asked why are rooms were never attended. The pool was ice cold and we reported it because that was one of the reasons we stayed there, however we were told that that water is the same as always. It is advertised 80°. The water temperature was about 55-60°. The hot tub was superheated which is very unsafe. And the water in the hot tub was murky and smelled of high amounts of chlorine. I use hot tubs everywhere, including where I live, so this was quite disappointing. Even the beds were like big mis-shaped & hard in one area, then soft in another. That was the mattress! No matter how we moved around or tried each bed they were lumpy and uncomfortable. There were no extra blankets for cold nights & again no service of any kind when we were there. They ran out of coffee & hot water at their 24/7 coffee bar, so anything you wanted you had to make in your own room. Also the signage to find the hotel was not visible until you actually found it on a back road behind some Pennsylvania hills. Very, disappointing

Room was booked and we arrived fhe same day. Since we arrived late our room was cancelled. Employees had no idea how to get the reservation re-entered. Reserve a whirlpool suite and was not given the correct room.

Great location just outside downtown Punxsutawny with i walmart just accross the main road. Beds were very comfortable.

Quick overnight in a cute little town. Loved stopping by to say hi to Phil and family, not far from hotel.

Be as comfortable as a groundhog!!! Complimentary hot breakfast, pool, conveniently located (only a stones throw from Gobblers Knob & downtown). They even have their very own Phil statue!!! To top it off they serve Phil’s Blend Coffee, that makes Phyllis jealous.

There are not a lot of places to stay in Punxsutawney. This was very quiet, clean, and comfortable.

An older building, but in the process of a good renovation (as of 10/25). No elevator, but steps were easy. Punxsutawney has seen better days, but this hotel is across the highway from a new Walmart and there are several very affordable restaurants within a short drive.

We loved our stay here! Hard to drive the little road in the dark but the hotel and town were amazing! So glad we stopped!

This quaint little inn is a hidden gem in Pennsylvania! It is nestled in a quiet area with homes surrounding it and is a few minute drive to the highlights of Punxsutawney. The room was clean and well appointed, the stay included a free breakfast. The lobby had a bar too! The best part was that it was dog-friendly and there was plenty of outdoor space to walk the pup.

On checkin, we were told power would go out next morning at 8am. Not acceptable! Also, hot foods/eggs not avail at 8 am, although as of 8:45am, power had not gone off. Maintenance started hammering & drilling to tear up floor in room next to us, before 8am.
