I was very happy with my stay. Every one was so friendly. Housekeeping was great. Food and drinks were on the expensive side but that was expected. The boat ride back and forth was easy but keep in mind it leaves on time very time. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is my experience with the spa. It was a great massage but it was not a 5 star experience. We checked the weather for the week and scheduled for a day we knew it would rain and we would be staying at the hotel for the day. First issue was you only get 1 hr to use the spa facility and they say it is complimentary…. How is it complimentary with what we were charged? My biggest issue was there are only 7 or 8 lounge chairs at the pool inside. Keep in mind we booked that day because of the rain. We were told we could not use them because they were rented! People can pay to use the spa for an a specific amount of time while not paying what I paid for a massage. There was no place for us to put our towels or robes. There were 2 chairs they called sofas they said we could use. I spent over $600 for massages and could not relax by the pool because some one rented a chair for $70?? I had to put my belongings piled on a chair? They need to reevaluate who’s the priority, the customer that is spending over $600 or the customer that spent $70. I would not recommend the spa as much as I liked the hotel itself.

Bonjour, Hôtel bruyant par la clientèle et également la musique dont le son est trop élevé. Piscine en roof top trop petite pour la taille de l hôtel. Le luxe est privilégié par rapport au confort, au calme et au service. Je pensais que des hôtels de ce standing privilégiaient cela.

The property could use a refresher for their lounge cushions and customer service for drinks and towels by the family pool are not amazing and understaffed. Food overall is good though. The property is well kept but the pools could use a refresher in terms of stained stones ect. And the gravel on one side to the pool with lounge chairs isn’t awesome. Kids club is nice but they could come up for more diversity for outdoor activities ect Overall a good experience

Loved the location and facility! Very nice professional hotel staff! Loved the views of Venice from the resort!Amazing views from Infinity pool and rooftop! The best feature the resort had transportation every 30 min from the hotel to Venice and opposite!

Nice hôtel on the island. Lovely garden. Confortable room. Quiet :) food is expensive but you are in Venice … spa needs to be booked and quite expensive even if you are staying in the hotel.

Wow, wow, wow! Super place, very James Bondy as you arrive by taxi boat - thats all I'm going to say on that. Stayed here with my family. Super relaxing by the roof top pool every morning, not crowded at all. Then gorgeous roof top bar lunch everyday. Then dress up for the afternoon evening, jump onto the free shuttle boat into the city. This on its own was amazing. Lovely sights and restaurants in Venice. Wasn't that busy at all. Service back at the hotel was excellent. Special mention to all these lovely people that just smiled and chatted and gave great service always: Buse, Ruwani, Giada, Ioana, Eva, Martina and of course Falippo and is Old Fashions! Thanks everyone. We'll be back

El hotel es una belleza, disfrutamos mucho en familia las instalaciones, tienen un restaurant en el rooftop donde fuimos a ver el atardecer y cenar espectacular! Nuestra habitación estaba increible, el servicio de todo el personal fue de primera y siempre atentos a lo que necesitemos. De verdad una gran experiencia, las albercas, juegos para niños, comida, transporte, todo de 100.
El hotel es una belleza, disfrutamos mucho en familia las instalaciones, tienen un restaurant en el rooftop donde fuimos a ver el atardecer y cenar espectacular! Nuestra habitación estaba increible, el servicio de todo el personal fue de primera y siempre atentos a lo que necesitemos. Rooms were not maintained well. Not as clean as you would expect with the rating. Also was disappointed on the excessive fees. It was over $100 euros to play paddle with my kids for 1.5 hours on the property courts.

perhaps they are simply overloaded but they forgot to make the rooms, no shower working early in the morning and the person in charge of arranging taxi services to the airport was confused ( to be polite )

Terrible experience. First time we were at this hotel two years ago, and I have no idea what happened, because it was 10/10. Seems nobody watched this hotel all this time. First, we got a room in the main building at the first floor. I was sure it’s a technical floor (because it looked like). Small window next to the loud conditioner. Dirty. We left immediately. Then we got the room at the second floor, and were too tired to come back to the reception again. At least we had two small windows. This room was prepared for another family, with the welcome card to another name and with the extra bed. Bathroom wasn’t clean and even vanity set was opened (and was never refreshed). Dirty carpet, mold… Sun-beds near the pool are black because of mold. All of them! We asked to cancel our stay and a full refund, because of allergies. But nobody even say “sorry” or try to fix the problem. Nothing! It’s 2* motel, don’t waste your time and money.

This is not a "real" JW Marriott in terms of quality and value. The rooms are run down, the carpets in the hallways are dirty and old and the rooms are quite shabby. The bathroom in our room was in a bad condition with broken fixtures and poor quality finishes. I guess, when coming to Venice one must dial down the expectations one might have for the money but I don\'t understand how this property gets glowing reviews. We most definitely won\'t be back.

This was my second stay at JW Marriott Venice. It has not turned for the better over the years, unfortunately. The facility is showing serious signs of wear and tear. Gardening is sloppy. Housekeeping is underpar. I had a small experiment and decided to watch a loose piece of trash I found on the bathroom floor at arrival - it was still there at the time of check-out three nights later. There was also dark hair in the sink and on the floor, and I am blond. The food was disappointing except for the breakfast. The highlight was the staff. They were friendly and helpful, casual but professional.

Razoável, tive alguns problemas: não tinha restaurante sem ser de uma estrela onde nesse restaurante nao tinha comida infantil, tive que ir para Veneza as 21:30. Quarto lotado de pernilongo. Quarto nao era limpo adequadamente. Banheiro não foi limpo. Dois sorvetes e uma coca foi cobrado 75 euros. Até no café da manhã distribuem papel para vc dar gorgeta. Um hotel bem americano. Não é agradável o barco do hotel que vai para Veneza. Todos os serviços que o Hotel propõe sai o dobro do preço. Café da manhã bagunçado e qdo acaba eles nao repoe e falam que acabou. Não indico o Hotel.

Compared to 4 boutique hotels we stayed at during our Italy vacation, this stay at the JW Marriott was by far the worst. Dated rooms, stained carpets, lacklustre room cleaning (shower had mildew and the sinks were never cleaned), terrible dining options (food felt like we were at a sub par all inclusive resort rather than in Italy), the concierge seemed to be trained to upsell everything so that you pay insane prices for taxis or excursions when you could easily take the free water shuttle and find incredibly lower prices at the local water taxi stand. The only saving grace is that staying at this property gets you away from the densely populated tourists on Venice island and you have a pool. Would not stay here again.
Compared to 4 boutique hotels we stayed at during our Italy vacation, this stay at the JW Marriott was by far the worst. Dated rooms, stained carpets, lacklustre room cleaning (shower had mildew and the sinks were never cleaned), terrible dining options (food felt like we were at a sub par all inclusive resort rather than in Italy), the concierge seemed to be trained to upsell everything so that you pay insane prices for taxis or excursions when you could easily take the free water shuttle and find incredibly lower prices at the local water taxi stand. The only saving grace is that staying at this property gets you away from the densely populated tourists on Venice island and you have a pool. Would not stay here again.

The property is simply amazing! The rooms are spacious with vaulted ceilings and very nice bathrooms—with super good water pressure. We also loved the spiral staircase around the elevator with windows that had views of the property. It’s a nice way to get a little bit of exercise. The free breakfast had every breakfast option imaginable.

The property is unique in that it occupies a total island; however, the building needs to be electrically updated to accommodate new IPhones and other devices. There was only one USB outlet in our room, which was located in an outdated clock/radio. Restaurant Dining was limited in the evening; however, room service was excellent.

What an amazing experience we had such a fun time. My kids slept very well in the beds were very comfortable. It was easy to get in and out of Venice and much more relaxing on the island. The kids loved it

I had an amazing time at the JW Marriott in Venice. The reception was quite welcoming and was able to accommodate me with an upgraded room which I really appreciated. Very attentive to my needs and breakfast. Brunch was five star. Thank you for the stay.

The bell service is terrible and quite rude at times depending on who’s on duty. We asked for the luggage service for check out and never came. Spa service is average. It’s all about up selling to something not necessary better but for their benefits . It’s disappointed. Also, I was not impressed when I was told during check in that it was converted from a “tuberculosis hospital”!

Wow, wow, wow! Super place, very James Bondy as you arrive by taxi boat - thats all I'm going to say on that. Stayed here with my family. Super relaxing by the roof top pool every morning, not crowded at all. Then gorgeous roof top bar lunch everyday. Then dress up for the afternoon evening, jump onto the free shuttle boat into the city. This on its own was amazing. Lovely sights and restaurants in Venice. Wasn't that busy at all. Service back at the hotel was excellent. Special mention to all these lovely people that just smiled and chatted and gave great service always: Buse, Ruwani, Giada, Ioana, Eva, Martina and of course Falippo and is Old Fashions! Okay, parents with kids know this. This is a beautiful property for adults. Yes, they have an indoor and rooftop pool, but all those are for adults. There is one pool on the Property for kids. That pool is an 8-minute walk from the lobby; it's outdoors in the heat. There are umbrellas and chairs. There is no diving or jumping. It had a pool bar with food, so there was no indoor pool for the kids. Plus, there is a difference between a junior suit and a suit. You can add roll-in beds for the junior suite, but it looks wrong. I don't know; I expected better. I paid a private taxi 200 euros to take me there. It was just such a waste of time—two hundred euros to the airport. The shuttle only takes you to San Marco. I know we Americans recognize the name; it feels like we know them. But it's not an American Marriot.

Insgesamt gut bis sehr gut. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und spricht sehr gutes Englisch. Das Pricing in den Restaurants ist over the top. Das Dopolavoro Restaurant ist unbedingt zu empfehlen, aber auch hier entspricht das Pricing einem 2 Michelin Sterne Restaurant. Wer nicht permanent auf der überfüllten Hauptinsel sein will, hat hier einen exklusiven Rückzugsort, den es in Venedig nur zweimal gibt (Kempinski und JW Marriott). Wir hatten eine Suite mit Terrasse in einem der Nebengebäude mit eigener Rezeption. Klare Empfehlung eher eines der Nebengebäude zu buchen und nicht das Haupthaus.

The property could use a refresher for their lounge cushions and customer service for drinks and towels by the family pool are not amazing and understaffed. Food overall is good though. The property is well kept but the pools could use a refresher in terms of stained stones ect. And the gravel on one side to the pool with lounge chairs isn’t awesome. Kids club is nice but they could come up for more diversity for outdoor activities ect Overall a good experience

Nice hotel with a very high service level from the staff, in particular the staff in the reception and in the breakfast restaurant did a very good job. But price and quality doesn’t match. Food quality below average in a country where quality and taste normally is very good. Paid twice the price for both food and wine compared to the city center. Too much Marriott concept hotel and less Italian touch which is a pretty.

Razoável, tive alguns problemas: não tinha restaurante sem ser de uma estrela onde nesse restaurante nao tinha comida infantil, tive que ir para Veneza as 21:30. Quarto lotado de pernilongo. Quarto nao era limpo adequadamente. Banheiro não foi limpo. Dois sorvetes e uma coca foi cobrado 75 euros. Até no café da manhã distribuem papel para vc dar gorgeta. Um hotel bem americano. Não indico o Hotel.

Saturday night at the pizza place was utter chaos. The wait staff were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Took forever to order. Then with food delivery it was just nuts. No one knew which table for which order! Completely unorganized. Not the level of service one would expect from a Marriott resort like this. Then today when we had confirmed reservations for luggage pickup at 7:30 am and a water taxi at 8, and we were there at the dock before 8, we learned that no such reservations had been made, even though I had an email stating that we were confirmed for the service. The wonderful employee at the dock jumped through hoops to make it work for us. I paid $400 for the airport transfers in all, and believe I deserve some type of compensation for this failure. So far, no response from hotel staff. Again, very disappointing for a Marriott resort at this level. Will not be returning.
