Candlewood Suites Carrollton by IHG

Check in was smooth and easy, staff was friendly and welcoming, room was nice and clean. There were a few basic cooking implements, like a skillet and spatula, but not much in the way of seasoning except for some salt and pepper packets. The treadmills were both not working, but the bike worked and there were free weights too, so that was nice. There was no breakfast, not even a continental breakfast, but they do have a little canteen area (they call it "the pantry") that you can purchase snacks and stuff from. They also have a little coffee machine that grinds and brews free fresh coffee at any time, so that was nice. We cooked burgers in our room, but the exhaust fans were not working, so even after we were done cooking, our room smelled like the back end of a McDonald's, and continued to smell that way the rest of our stay. We were told that we could ask for some air freshener, so we did, only to be told they either didn't have any or we couldn't get it, so I feel sorry for the next person or people who stay in there lol.

Nice property. No major issues. Biggest problem, both treadmills were broken at the time of stay.

Great place and staff. Had some wasp issues in the fence at the pool but otherwise a great stay.

I town for pro football Hall of Fame weekend in Canton, OH. Hotel was in great shape, seems to have been updated within the past few years. Everything was nice, clean, and in good working order. Room was very spacious, and to my surprise, had a kitchenette! I wish I would have been in the room more to take advantage of it, since there were two grocery stores across the street and next door. Outdoor pool was nice, there was a seating area and even 2 gas grills if you wanted to bbq! Excellent value for the money, I would definitely stay here again if I were coming back to the area

Pool was pretty dirty but otherwise everything else was clean. I love the rooms.

The staff were great and the room was clean and well maintained. The laundry room had most machines broke where I lost some detergent and stuff in a broke machine. My main issue is that I got the okay to modify my stay PRIOR to move in. It took 3 weeks to get the refund. Then when the refund came, they refused to refund the FULL amount and had all these stipulations. Will not use hotels.com or this hotel again. I was going through a tough time and this adds insult to injury

We stayed here last year and it was a great place with no problems however this year it was not as clean, staff was not as friendly and it was a lot noisier. We will most likely be staying somewhere else next year.

Basically clean though bathroom needed more attention. Nothing out of the ordinary but not great value for the price, especially since no breakfast is available on site—- and no local restaurants open!

I knew that I was in trouble when google maps said that I was close, but there was absolutely nothing indicating civilization nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the property was updated, the cleanliness left a bit to be desired. Staff seemed to skimp on towels only leaving 2, and they both had an odor that was not....fresh. When I shifted the matress to inspect for bedbugs (everyone should) the box spring held a couple years worth of dust/lint/hair/etc. Clearly never cleaned. Additionally....I have questions as to whether all of the 4 pillow cases had been changed. It's the only place in that area, but I'd avoid and drive further. And before falling asleep, I think that I possibly heard the faint sound of banjos playing in the distance. You've been warned!

Amazing!! I pove staying here. Smells and looks clean. Full kitchen in room. They provide dishes and pots and pans. Plus so much more!!!

The water pressure was completely amazing! The staff were super friendly. Bed was super comfortable. The hotel was cleaned and so was our suite.

Not the worst place I’ve stayed, but there were noticeable stains on the sheets amongst other things.

Just drove through and stayed for one night but it was a really nice place. Everything seemed super clean besides behind the bathroom door (floor needed to be swept/vacuumed) shower was excellent, best water pressure and they don’t use cheap no brand soaps, they had dove shampoo, conditioner and body wash! I would definitely recommend!

Bathtub did not drain for showers. Lots of noise from the room above.

Road noise was loud as was the intra floor noise. I could hear people in the room above me walking around all day and night, so if you want peace and quiet, request the top floor and try to get a room on the back side of the property. Ice maker is a nice feature, but the ice cubes tasted awful, so buy bagged ice. Otherwise, the room was comfortable and clean.

Decent hotel. No ice machines but full size refrigerator in room. Took some hours to get ice. Mismatched furniture. Small tv and no premium channels. Clean though.

Great value. Great front desk employees. So helpful and friendly. Overall, great experience. Only complaint was the bed and pillows were not comfortable for me. Don’t usually have this issue. Who knows. Definitely would stat again.

I booked and paid for my room. I was trying to go to a cave and visit the Ark Experience but I was relying on Google Maps and something messed up and it took me to a L & L Lumber Liquidators 2 hours in the opposite direction. I called and talked to the hotel before and told them I was planning to go to the ARK and would be checking in late. I called after I got lost and told them what happened and I was now 6 hours away. They ASSURED me my room was paid for and would be waiting whatever time I got there. Driving down dark, unlit, dirt roads with wildlife jumping in the road in front of me made that drive even slower. I got there at 3am and the girl at the desk told me they cancelled my room. I asked her what am I supposed to do and she told me "go to another hotel" I said but I PAID for this one, I am not paying for another one...she kinda shrugged at me. She told me there was nothing she could do, I asked if she expected me to sleep in my car in the parking lot when I had given them money for a room. She told me I didn't pay them, I paid Expedia and I could sleep where I wanted, just not in one of the hotels rooms. I demanded the name and number of the hotel manager and regional manager. SHE REFUSED to provide them. She called the manager,and suddenly there was a room available. She made me give her a new credit card, so I am pretty sure I paid Expedia AND the hotel for this room. VERY RUDE. She was the rudest person I dealt with on my whole trip. Stay next door!

When my husband and I visit family in the area, we always stay at this hotel. It is always clean, and quiet and the people at the front desk are always very friendly and helpful. The bed is comfortable as well. I think the hotel price is very a good value.

The staff made us feel I like we were at home, anything we requested they were happy to help.

The staff was awesome! Ronda, Mary and their staff filled every request we made during a difficult period of a funeral for our mother. Very comfortable room, bed, pillows and shower/bath. And we're Flight Attendants so we have much experience in this area. Thank you all so much!

Stayed here while visiting Canton for enshrinement weekend. Further away than I'd have preferred but the prices were not jacked up for HOF weekend. Property is clean, quiet, safe and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

It is a great place to stay when going to Alliance Rifle Club matches.
