La Casa Carlota is a small, charming boutique hotel within a convenient 7 minute walk to the Zocalo. It was close to everything. The room we had was clean and comfy with a nice bathroom. Electric sockets abound so no problem plugging in our devices. AC was strong and mattresses were firm just the way we want. Highlights of the stay were the breakfasts and the staff. The menu was different each day and prepared just as you sit down. There were fruits, yogurt, cereal, toast, coffee and juices as well. Staff really took care of us and all were friendly. They gave us tips on where to go and what to do around town. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Oaxaca.

La Casa Carlota was a lovely little place with about 5 rooms located just north of the busy centre of Oaxaca City. The location was great because it was on a quiet street that restricted car traffic, but was close enough to the centre that everything you'd want was nearby. Also felt safe because it was still a central area. The room was amazing, a huge king bed and large shower, with drinking water provided too. We stayed in 'La Carlotita' room which had AC which was essential for the heat in Oaxaca! The room was very clean, including the toilet and shower. Every morning we had a great breakfast with hot and cold items, which was a nice way to start the day. All the staff were really kind and helpful, giving us advice on how to use the 'collectivo' public transport to get to various places near to Oaxaca city including Tule, Tlacolula and Mitla. Of the 3 places we stayed in Mexico, La Casa Carlota was our favourite because it was so comfortable and friendly and well located!

Absolutely an amazing stay! The staff are wonderful, helpful and happy to make recommendations or book a taxi for you! Breakfast was delish with great options. The room was clean, quiet, and cozy. The bnb is very convenient and in a very quiet cobble stone street. Highly recommend as we felt we were VIPs.

What an absolutely delightful property and staff. Probably one of the best and the most caring staff I’ve ever experienced. We had a great 2 night stay. The property itself is quiet and pretty - you want that after you return from the crowds of Centro. Our room was simple and comfortable. Extra points for the wonderful mattress! :-) It’s walkable and conveniently located from all the action. Perfect place for a stay in Oaxaca.

We loved EVERYTHING about La Casa Carlota. First and foremost, La Casa Carlota has an incredible staff. They were so attentive, helpful and friendly. They never missed a beat and gave us plenty of recommendations for activities, places to eat and modes of transportation. The location was wonderful, especially because as a closed-street, there is very little car traffic. We were so close to downtown and the area around the hotel felt safe day and night. The breakfasts were great. There was always plenty water available. There were multiple areas outside of the room to hang-out in, including a living room, outdoor dining area, and lovely rooftop terrace. We were sad to leave.

El hotel es pequeño lo cual hace a uno sentirse en casa. Las habitaciones son amplias y la terraza cuenta con una viste de 360 grados. El desayuno es fresco y variado,pero definitivamente lo más especial es el equipo. Son muy amables y nos apoyaron con todo lo que necesitamos. Definitivamente volveremos a Casa Carlota la próxima vez que regresemos.

I booked a 3-night stay in Oaxaca and it was magical. I truly liked the Casa Carlota, for many reasons. It is located in a quiet area at the outskirts of the small but lively city of Oaxaca. But still, it is only 3 blocks away from where it all happens. The service in the Casa Carlota is impeccable from the very first minute of your arrival until the second you have to leave. You receive personal information about the Casa Carlota, the city of Oaxaca and the surroundings and excursion possibilities in the neighbourhood. The rooms are nicely decorated, not too big but surely big enough for a relaxing stay. There were coffee facilities in the room and bathroom amenities. Breakfast was excellent: a variety of fresh fruits, yoghurt, cereals and every morning there was a different choice of warm (mostly local) specialty. Finally, on the evening before my departure, there was such a lovely gift from the owners: A small bottle of Mezcal signed La Casa Carlota. A warm 'Thank You' to the entire team for the service. Oaxaca was a wonderful experience!!!

dulce, eder and all staff were great, always helpful. my room was very comfortable and spotlessly cleaned each day. breakfasts were tasty and varied. unfortunately external construction created unwanted noise but this did not detract from the excellence of the casa carlota standard. i highly recommend casa carlota! marsha

We arrived at the cozy beautiful B&B La casa Carlota and was welcomed by Eder. Our stay was fabulous there ; food, staff, cleanness, organized everybody so polite and helpful. I will go there again, they gave us such a beautiful time in their B&B.

Great place in great location. Super to discover Oaxaca! Spacious rooms and all super clean. The Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.. they went out of.their way to help us with tours and taxis and everything else we needed. If there is any room for improvement - the room downstairs where we stayed was a bit noisy. You can hear people walking up and down the stairs in the morning. The breakfast is served with plastic foil covers. They want to keep it fresh, but I think theyd surely find a more sustainable solution. Overall great stay though! We enjoyed it

Casa Carlota es un lugar agradable, impecable y tranquilo. Cercano a muchos lugares de interés en el centro de Oaxaca.el personal es super atento, siempre disponible para ayudar. Solamente, el desayuno que ofrecen como cortesía, es simple y desabrido para todo el sabor que hay en oaxaca.

La ubicacion es buena y el hotel esta muy bonito. Lo unico que no nos gusto es que las habitaciones no tienen cortinas blackout y el agua caliente tarda mucho en salir por lo que se desperdicia muchisima agua esperando a que salga caliente.

La Casa Carlota was a lovely little place with about 5 rooms located just north of the busy centre of Oaxaca City. The location was great because it was on a quiet street that restricted car traffic, but was close enough to the centre that everything you'd want was nearby. Also felt safe because it was still a central area. The room was amazing, a huge king bed and large shower, with drinking water provided too. We stayed in 'La Carlotita' room which had AC which was essential for the heat in Oaxaca! The room was very clean, including the toilet and shower. Every morning we had a great breakfast with hot and cold items, which was a nice way to start the day. All the staff were really kind and helpful, giving us advice on how to use the 'collectivo' public transport to get to various places near to Oaxaca city including Tule, Tlacolula and Mitla. Of the 3 places we stayed in Mexico, La Casa Carlota was our favourite because it was so comfortable and friendly and well located!

Everything was great. Only downside is that the bedroom and bathroom windows open on the central patio which a passageway. So we lacked privacy and it get a bit noisy.

Absolutely an amazing stay! The staff are wonderful, helpful and happy to make recommendations or book a taxi for you! Breakfast was delish with great options. The room was clean, quiet, and cozy. The bnb is very convenient and in a very quiet cobble stone street. Highly recommend as we felt we were VIPs.

A very pretty hotel/B&B in a very charming neighborhood. The staff was the sweetest and very helpful. Did not like at all that the door to the room didn't go all the way down. I had a room on the bottom floor and heard everything outside - meaning the person on the outside heard everything on the inside. We were a bit unlucky to have a construction site on the other side of the wall. I think our room was the only one directly facing the construction site. However, they worked normal hours and we weren't too bothered. Otherwise our room was amazing! I also enjoyed the breakfast. There were yoghurt with different toppings, fruits, toast and a freshly made vegetarian option every day. The omelet was the best one!

What an absolutely delightful property and staff. Probably one of the best and the most caring staff I’ve ever experienced. We had a great 2 night stay. The property itself is quiet and pretty - you want that after you return from the crowds of Centro. Our room was simple and comfortable. Extra points for the wonderful mattress! :-) It’s walkable and conveniently located from all the action. Perfect place for a stay in Oaxaca.

La Casa Carlota is a small, charming boutique hotel within a convenient 7 minute walk to the Zocalo. It was close to everything. The room we had was clean and comfy with a nice bathroom. Electric sockets abound so no problem plugging in our devices. AC was strong and mattresses were firm just the way we want. Highlights of the stay were the breakfasts and the staff. The menu was different each day and prepared just as you sit down. There were fruits, yogurt, cereal, toast, coffee and juices as well. Staff really took care of us and all were friendly. They gave us tips on where to go and what to do around town. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Oaxaca.

dulce, eder and all staff were great, always helpful. my room was very comfortable and spotlessly cleaned each day. breakfasts were tasty and varied. unfortunately external construction created unwanted noise but this did not detract from the excellence of the casa carlota standard. i highly recommend casa carlota! marsha

The service here was impeccable. The moment you walked in you felt welcomed by the staff who would help with anything. I loved the location and the neighborhood. The rooms were cozy and had the best showers and hot water in all of Mexico. The breakfast was always tasty, but the jewel of the place was the kindness of the staff. Don’t hesitate to book.

We loved EVERYTHING about La Casa Carlota. First and foremost, La Casa Carlota has an incredible staff. They were so attentive, helpful and friendly. They never missed a beat and gave us plenty of recommendations for activities, places to eat and modes of transportation. The location was wonderful, especially because as a closed-street, there is very little car traffic. We were so close to downtown and the area around the hotel felt safe day and night. The breakfasts were great. There was always plenty water available. There were multiple areas outside of the room to hang-out in, including a living room, outdoor dining area, and lovely rooftop terrace. We were sad to leave.

Great place in great location. Super to discover Oaxaca! Spacious rooms and all super clean. The Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.. they went out of.their way to help us with tours and taxis and everything else we needed. If there is any room for improvement - the room downstairs where we stayed was a bit noisy. You can hear people walking up and down the stairs in the morning. The breakfast is served with plastic foil covers. They want to keep it fresh, but I think theyd surely find a more sustainable solution. Overall great stay though! We enjoyed it

A very pretty hotel/B&B in a very charming neighborhood. The staff was the sweetest and very helpful. Did not like at all that the door to the room didn't go all the way down. I had a room on the bottom floor and heard everything outside - meaning the person on the outside heard everything on the inside. We were a bit unlucky to have a construction site on the other side of the wall. I think our room was the only one directly facing the construction site. However, they worked normal hours and we weren't too bothered. Otherwise our room was amazing! I also enjoyed the breakfast. There were yoghurt with different toppings, fruits, toast and a freshly made vegetarian option every day. The omelet was the best one!

We loved EVERYTHING about La Casa Carlota. First and foremost, La Casa Carlota has an incredible staff. They were so attentive, helpful and friendly. They never missed a beat and gave us plenty of recommendations for activities, places to eat and modes of transportation. The location was wonderful, especially because as a closed-street, there is very little car traffic. We were so close to downtown and the area around the hotel felt safe day and night. The breakfasts were great. There was always plenty water available. There were multiple areas outside of the room to hang-out in, including a living room, outdoor dining area, and lovely rooftop terrace. We were sad to leave.

El hotel es pequeño lo cual hace a uno sentirse en casa. Las habitaciones son amplias y la terraza cuenta con una viste de 360 grados. El desayuno es fresco y variado,pero definitivamente lo más especial es el equipo. Son muy amables y nos apoyaron con todo lo que necesitamos. Definitivamente volveremos a Casa Carlota la próxima vez que regresemos.

I booked a 3-night stay in Oaxaca and it was magical. I truly liked the Casa Carlota, for many reasons. It is located in a quiet area at the outskirts of the small but lively city of Oaxaca. But still, it is only 3 blocks away from where it all happens. The service in the Casa Carlota is impeccable from the very first minute of your arrival until the second you have to leave. You receive personal information about the Casa Carlota, the city of Oaxaca and the surroundings and excursion possibilities in the neighbourhood. The rooms are nicely decorated, not too big but surely big enough for a relaxing stay. There were coffee facilities in the room and bathroom amenities. Breakfast was excellent: a variety of fresh fruits, yoghurt, cereals and every morning there was a different choice of warm (mostly local) specialty. Finally, on the evening before my departure, there was such a lovely gift from the owners: A small bottle of Mezcal signed La Casa Carlota. A warm 'Thank You' to the entire team for the service. Oaxaca was a wonderful experience!!!

Klein aber fein! Wir haben uns so wohl gefühlt hier. Es ist ein kleines Hotel mit nur 5 Zimmern. Und uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Alles ist bis ins letzte Detail durchdacht. Das Personal ist so bemüht und freundlich. Jeden Morgen gibt es ein leckeres Frühstück (ab 8:30 Uhr). Kaffeemaschine und Wasser auf dem Zimmer runden das Ganze ab. Schöne Dachterrasse! Und die Lage ist top. In wenigen Minuten ist man im Zentrum. Haben uns auch abends/nachts noch sicher gefühlt (bis 22-23 Uhr).
