Pool area needs update. Hot tub needs cleaning. It was almost neon yellow and smelled bad. Both TVs in suite didn't work. 20 minutes later they got one going. Booked main floor Jacuzzi suite. Called and confirmed. On arrival suite with normal shower on second floor. Apparently the only Jacuzzi room was over booked by 3 for that night. Tried booking by calling hotel direct but phone was never answered. Several tries in two days. Nice place if they get it together. Was hoping for a much better stay.

overall the stay was good and clean. the one recommendation id say is the pool room needs some TLC hot tub was out of order due to the heat pump the exhaust system needs repaired the staff informed me that they could not fix it due to a NLA part. causing all the doors to swell and rust along with the ADA lifts are rusting up preventing the use of them

We have now addressed the crazy amount of issues with the hotel. It’s July, no tv available for our whole trip, no ice machines, extremely gross pool and unsafe pool area until they can fix this I sure wouldn’t be going, dirty bed skirting, first room we got was not even clean w bed tossed so we new it was used, shower water smelled musty, air condition too-filter filled with dust, breakfast stuff was not kept stock and each day I went into cupboards to get what was needed and told front desk and they also are manning the breakfast area believed short staffed but there were many employees were had transactions with.

We just flew into Fargo from Portugal and had a few days before we needed to be up north, so we chose AmericInn in Hawley. Our last stay here was so welcoming and once again we had a lovely stay. The staff are kind and inviting. Our six yr old just adores Ms. Beth, who let her help decorate a Christmas tree. She wasn’t ready to go and considering the pool was down that is saying quite a lot. As we headed out she had to hand off some colorings she made for Ms. Beth. Until next time, thanks!

This is an excellent hotel and wonderful amenities. I love the large hot tub and swimming pool. It is so peaceful and quiet when I stay there. Hawley is a quiet, convenient town to travel through.

After a nine-hour drive, I was ready for a quick nap before getting ready to go what we drove all the way up for. The front desk mgr was friendly enough, and she was working hard enough. That being said, our room was a disaster. The elevator didn’t work. The outlet for the TV and DirecTV didn’t work, which was rectified by plugging both into the outlets on the lamp. But the worst thing, by far, was pulling the comforter back and seeing two levels of sheets stained with what could only be blood (see attached photos). Horrified, I showed the pictures to the clerk and she gave us fresh linens and we made the bed ourselves. She mentioned that a comforter would be on the bed when we arrived back from the concert. That didn’t happen. So, I then went down at midnight and asked the new clerk for a comforter, which she shared. I didn’t expect to have to do that step as well. All in all, the grossness of the sheets were hard to ignore, as was the lack of rectification.

The minute we drove on to the property, we could see that the exterior was well-maintained. This is a good indicator that the interior will be well-maintained as well. And it was. Everything is clean. We don't feel like the management or staff is cutting corners, as is true in many hotels. The room was very pleasant and comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return. Thanks for a pleasant experience.

We were first called saying “Expedia overbooked your room” so we switched rooms. Got in (family of five ages 7,4,1) at 10:15 , got our room key. Then went to the room and it wasn’t clean, beds were not made, tobacco spitters and cups lying around etc. waited for the only room left to be cleaned. In room by 11. Kids did not enjoy an hour in the lobby. Parents did not enjoy any of it.

We were welcomed upon entry. There was a new person learning the ropes and she was doing well. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds warm and cozy. We enjoyed a drink at the bar and went to a nearby place for supper. We were welcomed back and asked if we needed anything. The seating areas outside the rooms are comfortable and well lit for reading. Breakfast was a typical continental style. All food was served at the appropriate temperature. Check out was easy. Will stay here again when we head north.

My wife and I were greeted by a professional, efficient, and kind employee. The check in was easy and straight forward. The common areas carpet appeared fresh or even new. Coffee was available. Our room was clean and stocked. Breakfasts was very good so no one would leave hungry. The hostess on departure was exceptionally thoughtful and seemed to be on top of everything. When I couldn't find the DeCaf coffee in the breakfast room, she offered to bring me a cup from the common area. This AmericInn is a hidden gem in Hawley, MN. The value of the room is exceptional. I will definitely stop in again the next time my travels take me to this part of MN.

We stayed for 5 nights, while visiting Fargo, ND, which is about a 30 min drive. The room was clean, although the room had a smell, but not sure what it was, The beds were solid, the pillows are super soft which weren’t my preference but weren’t horrible. The hotel is small in size which was nice, not too busy. They had a small breakfast each morning, eggs or sausage and biscuits, cereal, waffle maker, yogurt, different fruits. They also have a bar, swimming pool, hot tub and exercise room. They also have a washer and dryer which was super convenient. Staff was friendly and kind. Would stay here again, if in the area.

We were in the area for a funeral, and we were able to check in early, which was great. Breakfast was ok....nothing great, with limited options. It would also be nice if the hotel used glassware and silver, versus plastic and paper.
