Good value, central location and large if basic rooms. The hotel bar/restaraunt looked initially a bit wild, but sitting down and having dinner there was great way of experiencing small town life. The rooms are in a sepate building so noise from the restaurant was not too bad.

fabulous little hotel rooms behind the pub, rooms are very quiet (double glazed windows and well sealed doors). rooms are quite large and spacious, the bed was a little on the hard side for my personal preference but was otherwise clean and perfectly fine. bathroom was a good size, water pressure was great, aircon and fridge both worked well. we had an excellent stay, and the food from the pub was fantastic too as was the hospitality extended to us by the staff on an extremely busy weekend. if we're ever in the area again we'll happily stay at the railway hotel again

Nice quiet room. Didn't like that people were sitting in the courtyard right outside our window smoking, had to keep our windows shut & there was no other ventillation. Otherwise enjoyed our stay.

Alot of customers at the pub with loud music when we arrived back at 10.30pm, luckily didn't hear a thing in our room, huge room electric blanket hot strong shower and close to all amenities, definitely recommend staying here...5 stars!!!

We rang and checked our booking the day before we were to go to the Heyfield hotel, after waiting on the phone for our booking to be confirmed, they told us our room had been double booked and we had missed out, the place was booked out !!!!. We had reserved it two months ago but they still hadn't let us know!!! Talk about there was no room at the inn! And it's not even Christmas.

We selected to stay here due to the late check-in option, which was great for us travelling after work. We were pleasantly surprised by the whole operation. The staff were very friendly, the bar and hotel area were well looked after and nicer than they appeared from pictures. Great access to the surrounding area and beautiful views from the town.
