Best Western Plus Boardman Inn & Suites

Overall service and room were good, but the cleanliness of the pool area and bathtub inside my room were major concerns. The bathtub looked like it had a bit of rust in it, and the spa in the pool area looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. My bed was clean, and the rest of the room and hotel were clean, but the cleanliness of other things concerned me.

I stayed 2 nights here with my daughter. my overall stay was pretty good! My room was smelled like cheap cleaner, which kind of made me sick. They should have an air freshener or something to make it smell fresh. The room was clean though. Also there isn't many tv channels to watch. There was maybe 50 channels and non were for kids to watch. The pool and hot tub looked like they could use a good cleaning. my daughter enjoyed swimming though. The staff were all very friendly.. especially the breakfast lady! she was so pleasant both mornings for breakfast! I would probably look else where to stay next time, just for the fact of a bigger/nicer pool.

My sister and I met half way for a sister weekend to celebrate her birthday. Perfect location with lots of shopping close by. Loved everything about our room and hotel except the jets weren’t working for the hot tub. Disappointing as that is what we love especially with sore backs but it happens

Good hotel, great location, just what we needed for a few nights in town. Breakfast was great too. The reasons this was not a five star stay for me are 1) the pool was dingy and the hot tub was green.. both needed cleaning. And 2) less important, but we stayed in a suite and it was the same size as the other rooms, just rearranged to include a fridge and couch. I expected it to be larger, especially for the increased price.

Really clean. Excellent staff. Everything really great. Very disappointing that the pool was not working. I see that in so many hotels. Why have a pool if you don’t keep it in good condition?

Great Hotel, smelled clean and was clean. Not too loud, pool was nice and open until late hours which was cool too. Breakfast was great as well, thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Washer and dryer available and for a small price which was convenient after visiting the pool. It's important to simply be comfortable at your hotel when you take a trip so I'm glad I had a great hotel.

great clean hotel. only problem was at night we got back and there was absolutely no parking and we had to find somewhere else to park.

The front desk was friendly, the room was average, the shower leaked and the pool and spa were closed, which was a disappointment, as it was the reason we chose this hotel over others of similar price.

I booked this hotel because it had a pool and hot tub. It was too dirty to use! Even the shower was not clean enough to use! I was totally disappointed and very sad at the dilapidated condition of the pool and rooms. Don’t advertise something that is unusable!!!!

Friendly staff, very clean and comfortable room. Pool and hot tub water seemed clean but the floor of both looked to be in poor condition and the hot tub jets were pretty weak.

This place is dirty. Both the room and common areas were filthy. Everywhere. From main touch points like the bathroom sink, to the layers of dust on the carpet

It was a beautiful hotel for such a great price. I loved the interior design. It was very eye catching. Probably the nicest hotel interior I’ve seen ever. Very clean. Very quiet. Awesome front desk service. The guy that helped me check in was so down to earth and amazing. So was the manager. The only downfall was the cleanliness of the room. There was a booger on the shower curtain and hair on the bathroom floor as well as the shower. The bed wasn’t that comfortable either.

The hotel was not clean and the manager emit is the most unprofessional person I’ve ever met the room I stayed in had bed bugs in it and the manager did not wanna do a thing to help resolve or make it right wouldn’t even give my money back had to buy new cloths for me and my son and find a new hotel absolutely do not stay at this hotel and best western corporate is no better they said there was nothing they could do to help in the matter will never stay at another best western and recommend u don’t either

We have stayed here before; found it convenient as it is 1/2 way between Chicago and DC. In the past everything was very good. On this visit, after we had settled down for the night and started to use the bathroom, my wife found a used sanitary napkin on the floor by the side of the sink/toilet. We called the night clerk and she came up and removed it and apologized to us after taking a picture of it on the floor. The next morning while checking out I mentioned that we should be compensated for the disgusting way we found the bathroom. She said she would discuss it with her manager and get back to us. Well, they never did get back to me but a few days later I saw a credit of $16.90 on my credit card. I found this offensive and told them so, but they stood by it. So, after 3 visits here we will no longer use this establishment.

The room was dirty , coffee spilled on tile floor in room “ I don’t drink coffee ., bottle cap on floor , tub not clean . Bed was horrible . Great location but poorly ran hotel

Property had a good breakfast. Bathroom was not too clean and had long black hairs on the floor.

No water pressure at sink or shower! No blankets! Shower floor at corner had either mold or just dirty! Electronic clock at night stand was not programmed correctly and time was off by hours and no instruction on how to set! I didn’t try the morning breakfast, but was not drawn to it either! I won’t make the same mistake twice……

The room was very clean and stocked. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely top notch. Seriously that alone was worth the stay. The one gripe I would say I have and I’m finding it hard to find one is the bed mattress was maybe out of date. It was a spring mattress and it didn’t sound the best when you laid down on it but I slept fine….i would not hesitate to stay again

Bed was uncomfortable. And children in the room above us were jumping and running around and hotel desk said there was nothing they could do about it...it was after 11pm!! Water turned cold in shower and then back to hot Clock would not show the correct time and it could not be changed.

Very nice property and spacious room. The comfort was rated poor for us since our mattress was terrible and hurt our backs no matter what way we turned. Update the mattresses and this would be a five star stay.

Rooms were very roomy and the bed are pillows were great!! We would definitely stay there again when we are in town .

Kids running up and down the hallway past midnight. Pulling on door handle. 945am house keeping opened my door. Luckily I had the door latch on.

It was very quiet. We felt like the only guests there. They had a great breakfast. Our room was spacious with plenty of outlets; my husband has a cpap machine.

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars- the mattress needs to be replaced. Hotel was very clean. The pillows and bedding were great. My husband said bed wasn’t comfortable Overall great stay.

Early check-in (Hotels.com staff called ahead…hotel ok’d ck in at 1:00). Not able to check in. Front desk had attitude and we were asked to wait at least a half hour. Wedding was at 2:00, 20 mins away. Breakfast was not “build your own” waffles or omelet. Chose BW because we always utilize our One-Key member card. Disappointing

Our booking was last minute. (We canceled our originally booked hotel upoon arival it was nasty) The front desk woman was amazing getting us in late. I left my bag at home by accident. She was able to give us extra toiletries, toothbrushes and toothpaste. The hotel was nice, everything was clean & fresh. Breakfast was very great and had a good selection. Pool & hot tub are nice. Only downside was other guests let small children unattended in pool area and they were misbehaving. Front desk called the parents room to have them stay with kids in the area but kids were still spitting water, sliding on the floor, jumping off the handicap chair. The front desk had her hands full being alone and she was trying to get the parents to get children under control and keep the water cleaned up. I wish we would have gotten her name because she was really doing everything she could without being disrespectful or unprofessional.

I book online using my oribucks and still was charge at the hotel!!! Can someone please explain why I was double charge

Room wasn’t ready on arrival, front desk not helpful. Room and facilities made up for it. Well kept. Would have preferred a shower to the bathtub.

We stay here every summer and Christmas when in the area visiting family. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is convenient to shopping, restaurants etc. it’s a great place to stay. No complaints.

Arrived at 10 pm, they were running on generator power because of a storm. They were unable to check anyone in. By 1030 I had contacted Expedia to cancel the reservation. The hotel would not answer the phone calls from Expedia so the expedia agent told me they would pass it on to the specialist team for the refund. I asked I needed to do anything more and they said no. I then found a different hotel on another platform. Today I received the email from Expedia saying they spoke to the hotel and will not issue a refund.

I had a horrible experience with staff. Housekeeping argued with me because i needed extra towels. The manager was no help.

This was the second time for my teen daughter and I staying here. The first time the manager, I\'m assuming, walked in our room with no knock within 10 minutes of our getting into the room. Creepy to say the least. But, we secured the door and stayed knowing we would not be staying here again. On this visit I realized we had forgetfully booked this hotel again and were again dealing with the man that had walked into our room. It was late, we were tired and didn\'t want the hassle of trying to relocate. We strongly reconsidered after we learned a copy of my license was required per "policy" because they "need proof of you being here". I pointed out that my signature, credit card transaction and even the lobby video would be proof of my being there and that no other hotel has ever required this. He stuck with his "it\'s policy" excuse. The exterior of the hotel it\'s self was literally the dirtiest I\'ve ever seen. Trash everywhere. The interior had a assortment of unpleasant smells, but room was clean. The rest of the staff was helpful and courteous. I felt I should post this review in case others had a similar experience. I should have after the first visit.

Overall the facility is decent but the bed was not very comfortable. The location of the hotel is very convenient for shopping, dining, etc. We stay at this hotel every time we are in the Youngstown area.

Location is close to stores and restaurants and everything you would possibly need. The hotel was very clean and the staff was courteous and attentive. Breakfast offered a variety of options, though the same each day of my stay ( still enough to switch it up though). Quiet location. quick check in progress. Room was very clean and comfortable. Only "issue" was the tub spout didn't stop completely when I changed the setting to shower head (but not a huge huge problem)

We stayed here for a concert in Youngstown (myself and two 19 year old ladies). The room was spotless, no issues. The entire hotel smelled wonderful. The only tiny issue was the one bed, it seemed like the mattress was very old, with springs. But someone else might find that perfect so I can't even say it was an issue. We weren't able to use the pool because of our events but we checked it out and the fitness center-it was all very nice and clean. It was a short drive to our location and everything we wanted for food and or shopping was accessible immediately leaving the hotel, even a Dunkin on the end of the side Street that we were staying on, which was wonderful for the young ladies. Lol the price was right and the staff were competent and courteous. I would definitely stay there again if we're in the area for another event!

Easy access to freeways. Clean room. Needed to ask for coffee because room did not have enough coffee K cups.
