A real gem this place . Tranquil place to start your journey. Wouldn’t suggest arriving after sunset as very twisty narrow road up to the monastery.

A beautifully reformed former convent from the XIV century with an amazing view of the Miño river valley that separates Portugal and Spain. The staff were incredible accommodating, the swimming pool is really nice, and the rooms are quiet and pristine. There is nothing but nature in the area, so while the staff are happy to fix you something simple for lunch or dinner, bring some snacks of your own.

We only had the opportunity to stay for a single night before moving on, which was our only regret. This hotel provides an excellent environment for relaxing and destressing, leaving us with a truly lasting impression. Housed in a beautifully converted monastery, the property blends historical preservation with art. The experience of the building's history is significantly enhanced by the work of a Portuguese artist, making the corridors feel like a gallery. The hotel is situated in a quiet natural landscape. The pool area is highly impressive and well-integrated into the surroundings, offering a peaceful space to unwind. Finally, the personal service deserves mention. The staff is attentive, professional, and provides a welcoming atmosphere with great attention to detail. We highly recommend this location and would definitely return for a longer stay.

Beautiful property! It was a perfect place to seek respite after a couple long days on the Camino de Santiago. Had a nice dip in the pool and enjoyed the beautiful sunset views while eating dinner! The husband and wife owner-couple were so hospitable, kind, and friendly! The farm animals were so cute to have on the property too!
