Location is very good. A short walk (5 mins) from the yellow quarter. 8 min walk from the centre of the old town. 10 min walk to the supermarket and train station. One of the few hotels in the area that has a pool which was great. Very peaceful and just what’s needed to relax. There are limited sun-beds but we didn’t have a problem getting two when needed. Pool towels are provided and can be replaced every 3 days of your stay. All amenities provided such as shower gels, shampoos, shower cap, hair dryer. Some complimentary drinks in the mini fridge were a nice touch. Wardrobe space is limited but hangers are provided. The actual beds were comfy however the pillows are quite flat and can get uncomfortable. Due to the building being old and having some great history, the aircon system isn’t a standard modern aircon unit. It’s located on the window sill so if we were to close the curtains the circulation would be hindered of an evening. It worked great during the day and kept the room a nice temperature. Breakfast was great, and the service was excellent. Everything was stocked back up very quickly. Overall, this was a lovely stay and would recommend due to pool area and location.

The villa is in a quieter are of Cascais but only 10 minutes walk into the town, 15 to the beach. We had a garden room that led directly to the garden from small patio doors, the garden was well kept and we used the small pool which wasn’t busy but would be one for cooling off rather than swimming if busy. Our room was spacious the only down side was the small number of plugs but it is an older property so probably understandable. Breakfast was quite good there are a few extras such as charges for omelettes. A good bar area and 24 hour manned reception. We enjoyed our stay here.

Excellent hotel just off the main street so it’s quiet but close to many wonderful restaurants. The outdoor space was especially inviting with the pool and lounging chairs and tables of all about. The staff were incredibly helpful. I would highly recommend this guest house.!

Beautiful, old building, with modern facility. Good value with a satisfying breakfast included. The garden and pool area are well kept. Some traffic noise and the light on the front stairwell, needed to be replaced. Very dark otherwise.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, fantastic location, staff and service were excellent. We absolutely loved our stay here. We had a deluxe twin room and we had french doors straight out to the pool which was lovely. Would absolutely stay here again if we came back.

Very impressed with hotel and staff when we arrived. Room very clean, comfortable with lovely amenities. Breakfast was good.. Unfortunately we had a downstairs room and had disturbed sleep from the room above. Floorboards were very noisy. Also, we could only use the pool on the first and second day of our stay as it became dirty with leaves etc - disappointing Excellent location, short walk to beach, marina, restaurants, bars and the wonderful sights of Cascais.

Our stay at the Villa Vasco da Gamma was fine. Convenient location in a nice quiet neighborhood. We could walk to shops and restaraunts easily. The rooms (we had 2 different rooms) were very small but functional. Beds comfortable. Bathrooms also were clean and nicely fixtured. The parking situtation was a hassel (street parking with hourly charges 8am-8pm with coins only). The staff was responsive, professional and helpful!! They could provide restaraunt recommendations...like a conciege would. We did not use the pool or outside patio but it was inviting.

I loved my stay here! It was beautiful, clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful! My flight got in late and I was greeted with a kind employee who showed me around and to my room. They were delightful. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you for your excellent service

Diego and Laura at the front were very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious with high ceilings and we had a lovely walk out baloney which was very nice. We walked out to their pretty garden in the back with a pool and it was beautiful. Breakfast was amazing and plenty would recommend this stay. We had an enjoyable stay.

Superb accommodation located very close to the action in Cascais, the property was very pretty and our room very big and bright. Buffet breakfast was lovely, with some cook-to-order options.

Unfortunately we had a downstairs room and had disturbed sleep from the room above. Floorboards were very noisy. Also, we could only use the pool on the first and second day of our stay as it became dirty with leaves etc - disappointing Excellent location, short walk to beach, marina, restaurants, bars and the wonderful sights of Cascais.

This place is fabulous - we don’t have one complaint!! The staff are so pleasant and helpful - from checkin to room service. Thank you to Tene in the breakfast area - she is an absolute sweetheart. Cute little hotel in a great location, but not worth the price as there are several drawbacks. Parking is a nightmare, and being on the top floor made moving luggage up and down very challenging. There’s no luggage storage or staff to assist, which would have been very helpful. The room itself was nice and spacious; however, coffee pods and water were not replenished daily—you have to ask at reception and pay. Towels were not changed, even when left on the shelf after use. Breakfast was ok. The girl at the front desk was friendly and smiley, but the male staff members were unhelpful and seemed untrained for luxury hotel service. Cleaning and breakfast staff also lacked friendliness, making the overall experience feel like they were doing guests a favor rather than providing service. Unfortunately, due to these issues, I would not return.

Location is very good. A short walk (5 mins) from the yellow quarter. 8 min walk from the centre of the old town. 10 min walk to the supermarket and train station. One of the few hotels in the area that has a pool which was great. Very peaceful and just what’s needed to relax. There are limited sun-beds but we didn’t have a problem getting two when needed. Pool towels are provided and can be replaced every 3 days of your stay. All amenities provided such as shower gels, shampoos, shower cap, hair dryer. Some complimentary drinks in the mini fridge were a nice touch. Wardrobe space is limited but hangers are provided. The actual beds were comfy however the pillows are quite flat and can get uncomfortable. Due to the building being old and having some great history, the aircon system isn’t a standard modern aircon unit. It’s located on the window sill so if we were to close the curtains the circulation would be hindered of an evening. It worked great during the day and kept the room a nice temperature. Breakfast was great, and the service was excellent. Everything was stocked back up very quickly. Overall, this was a lovely stay and would recommend due to pool area and location.

A very nice older grand home converted to a guest house. Our room was large, comfortable bed, with a walkout to a large green area and pool. Breakfast in the morning was quite good. It’s a 5 minute walk away from the main tourist area, so the neighborhood is quiet and safe.

Just did a solo trip to Cascais to relax after a crazy year, and Villa Vasco da Gama was a perfect place to do that. It’s located away from the noisy/more touristy parts of the town center on a beautiful quiet street, but is still thankfully a very short walk from shops/restaurants/beaches etc. The staff are kind, helpful, and very accommodating, and the hotel itself is nice and clean. The pool out in the garden is great too! Would happily stay here again, thank you!

A boutique hotel with only 12 rooms. The building is beautiful & the rooms are very stylish. It’s a quiet residential area, within walking distance of the town but away from the bustle. I had a wonderful 3 night stay…coffee machine makes dreadful coffee, they really need to hire someone to make it…then this place would be perfect!

Beautiful location within close proximity of all of the best restaurants in Cascais. Room was nicely furnished and the shower was good in the bathroom. Although our room was next to the kitchen, we didn’t ever notice any noise, nor did we notice any from other guests in the hotel too.
