This is a small hotel in a converted bank. The vault is now their wine cellar. It’s a small operation and Reception closes at 10 pm, but they were able to leave us a key for a late arrival. Given it’s original design, the layout is idiosyncratic. We had to go down stairs to the basement and then back up to get to our room. There’s no elevator. The room was simple—modern, clean, and generously sized. The bed and sofa bed were both very comfortable. The room had instant coffee, tea and a mini-fridge. We did not stay for the extra-charge breakfast.

Hotel propre. La chambre était confortable, mais il n'y avait pas de wifi et la télévision ne diffusait que des chaines anglaises. Pas de réfrigérateur dans la chambre. Le petit dejeuner (3000 Kr/personne) est assez sommaire et devrait être inclus dans le prix de la chambre. La ville ne présentait pas d'intérêt. C'est Ok pour une étape.

the heater and shower had no heating and when we told the staff after checking out they said they will go and check. When we left they said the shower and heater were working fine accusing us of lying. This is very wrong. Will not recommend this place to anyone.

The hotel was not what I expected, it was MUCH better!…from the pictures it might seem old but it’s not. I loved the modern art, the little concept and especially, the view… breathtaking. Only thing I would improve would be the dining experience. They only had buffet for about 6500 isk. If you want something light, there’s a restaurant at the gas station, the lady there is lovely and cooks hot sandwiches. They closed at 9pm but sometimes later.

We did a self check-in, never did see a soul working or staying at the hotel. We wanted to buy some things at the front desk and no one was there and wouldn’t answer messages. We checked out in the morning and never saw anyone either so couldn’t even have breakfast. So we never actually spoke with anyone our whole stay. We weren’t overly impressed with the lack of service.

If you want something light, there’s a restaurant at the gas station, the lady there is lovely and cooks hot sandwiches. They closed at 9pm but sometimes later.
The hotel was not what I expected, it was MUCH better!…from the pictures it might seem old but it’s not. I loved the modern art, the little concept and especially, the view… breathtaking. Only thing I would improve would be the dining experience. They only had buffet for about 6500 isk. Hotel propre. La chambre était confortable, mais il n'y avait pas de wifi et la télévision ne diffusait que des chaines anglaises. Pas de réfrigérateur dans la chambre. Le petit dejeuner (3000 Kr/personne) est assez sommaire et devrait être inclus dans le prix de la chambre. La ville ne présentait pas d'intérêt. C'est Ok pour une étape.

This is a small hotel in a converted bank. The vault is now their wine cellar. It’s a small operation and Reception closes at 10 pm, but they were able to leave us a key for a late arrival. Given it’s original design, the layout is idiosyncratic. We had to go down stairs to the basement and then back up to get to our room. There’s no elevator. The room was simple—modern, clean, and generously sized. The bed and sofa bed were both very comfortable. The room had instant coffee, tea and a mini-fridge. We did not stay for the extra-charge breakfast.

Do not recommend this hotel. We got bad bugs from there and “took” them home. Had to replace whole bedroom, so one night costed us 2200€ in total. Will never visit this place again.

Staff was helpful and allowed us to use their private kitchen to heat up our food, since, as vegetarians, we had limited options to eat out. Had a nice time at the facility.
