This was a birthday getaway... Prisilla at the front desk was so warm, and jumps to help you. Food and hotel was great. Pool said heated, but had to hold my breath to get in on a really hot day when i just needed to cool off. Could be 5 degrees warmer honestly. Not just me that felt this way. Super grumpy waitress in her late 40's early 50's. And we were a nice group of women... That kind of put a damper of ordering at the pool, and that was our goal to just chill with out our kids. Would love to come back up, but not if she is working the pool, which is where I would hang out...

This property is well kept, clean and private. With the adult only pool, lounge and restaurant, you would not have to leave the premises. Our room w nice, comfortable bed but otherwise nothing special about it. Great property but a little expensive. Definitely not a place to go w kids.

This would be a 5 star review but one exception brings it to 4 stars and only impacts some people. First, the positives. Amazing location, adult-only pool area, very decent restaurant, good parking, beautiful decor of grounds and rooms, firepits and friendly staff. The one downside is if you are a person that likes firm mattresses. All the rooms have very non-firm mattresses. At times it can be difficult to fall asleep because you can sink into the mattress. It's great (possibly) for back sleepers).

Very quiet and quaint. The check in/out process was easy. The staff was super friendly. Being able to rent bike for free and ride into town was a bonus. The pool was nice to enjoy after a long day and the restaurant did not disappoint!

This is a beautiful property. The pool area was very nice and relaxing and alot of people were out enjoying it. They also provided two complimentary glasses of rose from their vines out front. Too bad no jacuzzi. The views from both sides of the property are amazing. The bar/restaurant was very good and they had half off bottles of wine on Wednesday. The continental breakfast was also very nice. The rooms are small but there are firepits and outdoor sitting areas so you don't have to stay in your room!

We love this place but the pool, which is featured as the main amenity and the reason we stayed here after a long drive, was not heated as advertised. Major bummer. Also restaurant was late opening in the morning and the heat wasn’t on so it was very cold. Awesome spot but rough around the edges.

The property is lovely. The pool and deck are amazing! The only issue I had was there was no bathtub, only a shower. But that is just a preference. Otherwise this place is just wonderful. We has a great time. It is a pleasant surprise up on the hill. We hope to go back soon!!!

What a delightfully funky little roadside motel! This place is a gem along the highway and definitely worth stopping at. While it may seem a tad pricey for a motel, it is worth it. The renovations were immaculate and lend to a quirky vibe that is backed by great service, clean rooms and lots of delightful small touches. If you have the chance, take one of the bikes on offer for a quick ride into the town of Los Alamos!

This is a very stylish, updated motel. We loved our room with the fireplace, patio and fire pit. We didn't hear the 101 highway, the sound isolation was pretty good! Great pool and friendly pool staff. Reception could be greatly improved though. Our room was not serviced by housekeeping the entire day and when I mentioned this to the reception they'd send someone over but this never happened. I had to ask again a few hours later when housekeeping had already left. Only the older gentleman at the reception was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rest of the reception staff can definitely learn and take notes from him! At $350 a night I expected better service.

The property itself was great. Super clean with nice amenities. We were disappointed with service to the room. They did not make the bed, replenish water or coffee or take the dirty dishes. The only refresh to the room was in the bathroom. We were also extremely disappointed to have lukewarm showers the first morning and cold shower the second morning.

Met with friends for a weekend away. We love staying here! Comfortable, clean, adorable rooms. The most attentive and friendly staff. Seriously, this place never disappoints. We love Skyview!

Disappointing experience. The property has the right ambiance and location to make it a great hotel, but it lacks proper management. The hotel is understaffed, and the receptionist has to drive people up and down from the parking area while others guests are waiting. The room and bathroom are not clean with stained shower door and mirror, sticky floors and snack bar (which also only offers hard liquor options, no wine, and if you like drinking coffee, you will find exactly one single coffee pod provided for your stay lol). The patio “view” includes a bush, a piece of highway that runs the whole night, and some trash boxes along the back wall of the hotel. However, the loungers on the patio are so dirty that you wouldn't be able to lay down and enjoy the view had there even been any. The pool was nice and well heated, but they ran out of towels. By the way, you only get one full sized towel for your stay (and one shower mat per room), so you need to reuse it. The receptionist in the morning lacked any sort of interest in guests, forget about hospitality. The worst part of the whole experience was the restaurant. It had great ambiance, decent food, and absolutely atrocious, rude customer service. Made the perfect ending to the overall unwelcoming experience here. We won’t be coming back and don’t recommend this place to anyone.

This place is a gem along the 101! Traveling from northern CA to Santa Barbara for a graduation and stayed here 1 night before picking up family at the SB airport the next day. It sits high atop the hill with a view in all directions and, with the adorable retro vibe, feels literally removed from every day life. I just wish I could have stayed a few more nights. I didn't get to eat in the restaurant...just know it isn't open until noon on weekdays but 10 on weekends. Very cute pool area too. My room was clean and cozy. I thought the cars on the 101 would keep me awake but nope, perfectly quiet all night and in the morning. Sat on the deck by the lobby for a tea before I checked out. This place just feels special. :)

They made me wait to check in for hours even though I called in advance, I missed my afternoon appointment because my room wasn’t ready by check in. Then there was animal waste by a lounge area, I stepped in it and no one came to clean it or even acknowledge that I messaged them about it. i would not recommend this place to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Views are stunning and the rooms are pretty comfortable. Only thing I’d recommend is to have better lights in the room. My wife was really having hard time putting in makeup as the lights are pretty dim. Otherwise if that’s not a problem for you, just go! Walkable to town, you can burrow a bike for free and ride to town. The pool is nice and the drinks are great.

What a Central Coast gem! We absolutely love staying at the Skyview. It was nod to days past, with unbelievable comfort and convenience of today. The bedding was one of the bests we've ever had. Thanks, Skyview - we'll be backk.

The property is lovely. The pool and deck are amazing! The only issue I had was there was no bathtub, only a shower. But that is just a preference. Otherwise this place is just wonderful. We has a great time. It is a pleasant surprise up on the hill. We hope to go back soon!!!

When you sign in, they have you agree to terms & conditions. One of them said quiet hours were between 10pm and 9am. So imagine my surprise to be woken up just before 7:30am because the hotel’s outside music started playing. I called “Alina” in office to complain that the music woke me and my husband up when we wanted to be able to sleep in. She matter-of -factly had me hold while she checked the policy. Once she verified I was correct, she turned off the music and asked if there’d be anything else. No apology, sounding almost as if she were annoyed I had her turn off the music. It was a bad mark in the place to be told I should abide by terms that the hotel itself didn’t (puzzling the staff didn’t know any better). Also, Expedia advertised a special $80-something rate that somehow ballooned to $140-something dollars once the hotel added their resort & other fees and taxes (it was for a Monday night). Still a good deal for that area. Apart from those experiences, the hotel has been beautifully remodeled with a mid-century modern vibe. The beds are really comfortable and the rooms are charming. They offer a continental breakfast that wasn’t advertised. Also, the man who checked us in and the restaurant staff were very nice, and the view is lovely.

This is a very stylish, updated motel. We loved our room with the fireplace, patio and fire pit. We didn't hear the 101 highway, the sound isolation was pretty good! Great pool and friendly pool staff. Reception could be greatly improved though. Our room was not serviced by housekeeping the entire day and when I mentioned this to the reception they'd send someone over but this never happened. I had to ask again a few hours later when housekeeping had already left. Only the older gentleman at the reception was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rest of the reception staff can definitely learn and take notes from him! At $350 a night I expected better service.

The property itself was great. Super clean with nice amenities. We were disappointed with service to the room. They did not make the bed, replenish water or coffee or take the dirty dishes. The only refresh to the room was in the bathroom. We were also extremely disappointed to have lukewarm showers the first morning and cold shower the second morning.

Have stayed here twice now & would certainly return. Such a simple but lovely place to disconnect and relax. Enjoying the morning tea & coffee while looking out over the vineyard and green hills is wonderful. Pool feels nice in the daytime, was a bit chilly at night. Staff was so warm & attentive.

Disappointing experience. The property has the right ambiance and location to make it a great hotel, but it lacks proper management. The hotel is understaffed, and the receptionist has to drive people up and down from the parking area while others guests are waiting. The room and bathroom are not clean with stained shower door and mirror, sticky floors and snack bar (which also only offers hard liquor options, no wine, and if you like drinking coffee, you will find exactly one single coffee pod provided for your stay lol). The patio “view” includes a bush, a piece of highway that runs the whole night, and some trash boxes along the back wall of the hotel. However, the loungers on the patio are so dirty that you wouldn't be able to lay down and enjoy the view had there even been any. The pool was nice and well heated, but they ran out of towels. By the way, you only get one full sized towel for your stay (and one shower mat per room), so you need to reuse it. The receptionist in the morning lacked any sort of interest in guests, forget about hospitality. The worst part of the whole experience was the restaurant. It had great ambiance, decent food, and absolutely atrocious, rude customer service. Made the perfect ending to the overall unwelcoming experience here. We won’t be coming back and don’t recommend this place to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Views are stunning and the rooms are pretty comfortable. Only thing I’d recommend is to have better lights in the room. My wife was really having hard time putting in makeup as the lights are pretty dim. Otherwise if that’s not a problem for you, just go! Walkable to town, you can burrow a bike for free and ride to town. The pool is nice and the drinks are great.

This place is a gem along the 101! Traveling from northern CA to Santa Barbara for a graduation and stayed here 1 night before picking up family at the SB airport the next day. It sits high atop the hill with a view in all directions and, with the adorable retro vibe, feels literally removed from every day life. I just wish I could have stayed a few more nights. I didn't get to eat in the restaurant...just know it isn't open until noon on weekdays but 10 on weekends. Very cute pool area too. My room was clean and cozy. Pretty ideal little spot! I really have nothing bad to say about the Skyview - The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The scenery is gorgeous, the pool is warm. We didn't venture out of the hotel much except for a hike and meal in Los Olivos but that was just fine. Our room had the patio and fireplace and outdoor shower...Truly splendid. We ended up eating at Norman's Restaurant on site a few times, mostly out of convenience. None of the food was amazing but it was decently priced and allowed us to relax at the hotel without being bothered to make plans. Our dog was very welcome at the hotel but there's not much room to walk him nearby. They have treats everywhere and a few other dogs around too. Special shout out to Joseph who was very kind and made sure we were comfortable.

The bathroom needs improvement as there was no counter top for placing items like contact cases when taking contacts out and putting them in or to place makeup when applying it. The restaurant should offer a few simple items for breakfast like pastries and fruit for hotel guests as brunch is not served until late morning.

24 hour Girls Trip to Los Alamos was a success with the help of Skyview! We were able to upgrade our room to a bigger room with patio, it was great! Luckily we had amazing weather so we had drinks and sun at the pool and dinner at Norman’s. I will definitely be back to bring more friends and family!
