To begin with if you pay close to $600/ night the pool should be included no excuses of maintenance etc. Also I had to explain myself for that amount of why I wanted a pool to finally be sent to Habitas which is a wonderful place. Transportation is slow and electrical bicycles should be provided to each tent ( they have some regular broken bikes that clearly don’t do the job and are uncomfortable. Food is overpriced and mediocre $80 for chicken and some mezze. Water was lukewarm and at night it gets cold so not pleasant. Overall beautiful surroundings but not worth what you pay for.

My experience fell far below the service standards I expect from Banyan Tree. 1. Payment Handling & Conflicting Communication (Before Arrival) - My reservation was made via Expedia as “Pay at hotel, however my card was charged on 27 November 2025. Two days before arrival, the hotel messaged me through Expedia saying there was a payment issue and that I needed to contact the hotel to retain my room. 2) First Night - No Hot Water!!! - The villa had water pressure issues and no hot water, forcing me to shower without hot water in the cold desert. 3) Manager Problem and Brand Accountability When we expressed disappointment and noted we expected better from Banyan Tree, the manager responded that “Banyan Tree only KIND OF manage this place.” This is an unacceptable/ ridiculous statement to make to a guest.. 4) Lack of Promised Facilities / Misleading Guest Experience There were supposed to be bikes for guests, but despite requesting them, no bikes were provided during our entire stay. The pool was closed without being communicated to us in advance. 5) Food & Beverage Service Issues - Food services were extremely slow and charge ridiculous prices. Because these ongoing issues severely affected our experience, we chose to check out a day early and move to another hotel.

We stayed in the old tents they are definitely not worth $1,100 per night and need a complete refresh. On the side the resort is wonderful, staff can’t do enough to help you and the valley is beautiful. Quality of food is high. Very disappointed the rock pool at the spa was not open.

The resort's a wonderful place to relax and pamper yourself. The 1BR villa was really a small building with a tent over it so much more comfortable and protected against weather than expected. A wide porch let us sit for hours staring at the mountains and the stars, especially with an enjoyable fire pit lit by the staff each night. In the bathroom, a large tub was a plus and the staff brought oils/salts to make it even nicer. The huge bed was very comfortable, and all was super quiet for sleeping. Wifi was excellent. The staff was exceptional, always looking for ways to make our stay enjoyable. Each person was friendly and sociable, open to a conversation. Many seemed to work at the resort a long time. The golf cart transport within the resort worked smoothly with little delay. Food was excellent with many choices at breakfast, and well prepared, plentiful options at both restaurants. The spa had a good gym, plus terrific massages for a couple (Rasti, Angel) and facials (Rasti) There could be some improvement in the room: the low lighting was a challenge for reading; electric plugs were not very convenient especially in using a hair dryer with a short cord and distant mirror; three plugs in the bathroom oddly are located up high, with no obvious purpose. Though the room space is large, it's a bit tight near the wardrobe and side cabinet. The bathroom was enormous but mostly empty space, while the shower door did not seal well.
