Casa do Fontão

We loved Casa do Fontao, we had just spent a month travelling in Europe with a really busy schedule and we enjoyed 4 nights in Amarante at Casa do Fontao. The place is lovely, it's immaculately kept and the front of house team are just friendly and nice and nothing is too much trouble for them. I would score it 10/10, if you want a peaceful comfortable stay in a luxurious hotel with excellent privacy I would strongly recommend it

Very unique and beautiful. It's like staying in your own hillside chateau. Pre check in is a must to get the gate code.

Un très bel endroit, isolé et au calme. La demeure est magnifique avec une superbe vue. Les chambres sont spacieuses et très jolies. Le jardin est sympa et la piscine très agréable. Nous avons eu une petite attention avec des très bons petits gâteaux régionaux. Il y a un parking. Le petit déjeuner est très bon avec une super personne en charge du service. Vous êtes à 5 min en voiture du centre et 25 minutes à pied (par contre il y a de la pente). Par contre en passant par hôtel.com nous n'avons pas eu le mail avec toutes les indications suite au check in. Heureusement que le propriétaire était disponible par téléphone pour nous guider. Seul petit bémol, check in et check out automatique, nous n'avons donc pas eu la chance de croiser quelqu'un en arrivant. Très bon rapport qualité-prix, n'hésitez surtout pas!
