We have stayed a few times at Quest Taupo and it is always good. Very easy parking even in a large vehicle and clean tidy rooms. The bed was a little uncomfortable however that is personal preference. Good location, can walk into town or to the lake fairly easily and once it is warmer im sure the pool is nice too. Will stay again as great value for money

Off site parking. Some of the parking is actually out on the road outside the property. This is where we had to park. We wouldn't have booked here if we had known this was a possibility. The invitation email says Quest Taupo has enough parking spaces, no booking is required. 2nd vehicle $15 per night. Limited on site parking should be made clearer.

You get what you pay for, was cheap but windows do not open. We had to swap 1 of 2 rooms booked as it smelt so strong of chemicals your eyes watered. Smelt like trying to cover something up. Rooms filthy chairs stained, walls scuffed, in general other than washing sheets management here is very poor. Recommended anywhere else.

The property is visually dated. Although the hotel was not fully booked we were allocated wheelchair accessible room. Absolutely no vanity bench surface which meant the washing machine in the bathroom was the only surface space. The shower curtain was discoloured. There was coat hangers provided however no space below to hang items. There was fresh milk provided however it had been opened and was half full. The staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable however the duvet inner was badly stained.

Dryer did not work. Instructions for switching on the power for washing machine was unclear, but receptionist was very nice and helpful. We arrived on a Saturday so no housekeeping for the 2 days we stayed. That was not clear in booking. Overall, we wouldn't stay there again.

We are visiting from Australia for a 3 week road trip and booking accommodation as we go night by night. Lovely clean and fresh room with lake view. Comfortable beds, nice linen. Washing machine and dryer was a bonus. Easy checkin. Only one night but a very pleasant stay.

I recently stayed at the hotel for four nights and unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations. The bed was very uncomfortable due to broken springs and desperately needs replacement. Additionally, housekeeping only serviced the room three out of the four days, which was inconvenient. The front desk staff on Saturday and Sunday were unfriendly—on two separate occasions, they did not respond when I greeted them. Customer service is a crucial part of any hotel stay, and this lack of basic courtesy was disappointing. Due to these issues, I would not choose to stay here again.

Very good location being no more than 10 minutes walk from Taupo town centre and the lakefront. Nice modern building and being on lakeside 2nd story we had great views of Lake Taupo and the Mountains. Very quiet rooms with virtually no noise from other rooms/guests or road. (Quest was fully booked and we heard virtually nothing from around our room) Facilities for cooking, dishwasher, fridge, washing machine and dryer all great. Only negatives....pillows were awful (we went & bought a couple after first night) and the condensation on the inside of the rooms windows was not good. (Management needs to sort this before it becomes a major issue) Would recommend Quest Taupo & plan on being return guests.

Property was very clean with everything you need for a stay including everything in the kitchen and even washing machine and dryer. First night an appliance beeped all night every 20min. They fixed that. But our fridge was broken and really loud, they did not fix this issue during our stay

There were no daytime curtains therefore everyone could see in our room and right in to the bathroom, not good. There were no windows that could be open and the room was hot and stuffy, not good either, we were hot all the time and needed the air conditioner on and it was 6 degrees outside!

We were doing some of the cycle paths around Taupo. The Quest was a good place to stay. Friendly staff, easy to walk into Taupo for dinner. Will stay there again
