Trash in the corner behind chair. Chair appeared to have grease on it in various areas. Bathroom door would not close. The Kitchen Cabinets where in need of repairs, there where places in the floor that felt unsafe to walk on. Ants on the countertop. There was a notice on the refrigerator which said the room would be cleaned every day but was not. The TV went out completely. They did offer to put us in another room, but we chose not to move that late in the day. When the front door was closed, we did not feel safe because there was a space that light shined bright enough that it looked as you had a light on. On the bright side, the bed was comfortable, and it had hot water in the shower.

This is truly a budget option. The room was “cleaned” but very old and out dated. You cannot drink the water as it’s cloudy and multiple parts of the room are damaged. But for the cost $45 per night it was safe and comfortable. The staff is amazing. I would stay again to save on my per diem but would much rather stay at a cleaner and fully maintained place. Carpets are old. Cabinets are peeling. Fixtures are loose.

The staff at the front desk always nice no complaint , the room was full of ants in the kitchen the toilet was dirty it had splatters of poop! No cleaning room service went on the 3 days we stayed thete were no towels had to go to the front desk to ask for some! The next door was load with 3 dogs inside they were roudy and load all up to 5am dogs left poop outside door So Disapointed !

Counters, dresser, and toilet wasn’t clean. Hard to drive on property because of all the pot holes. And upset that someone with a key card tried to go in our room without knocking or announcing themselves before going in.

The biggest concern we had with our stay at this motel was the fact that the original room they assigned us and gave us a key to enter was still being used by someone else. Needless to say when we finally got a new room we refused to leave our belongings in the room and made sure all 3 locks were locked on the door as well as moving a chair in front of the door since we were 2 females traveling alone and saw first hand that staff at the front desk were not on top of who was actually staying in which room. This is more of a long term stay place for construction workers or something along those lines and not a family type place to stay. The cleanliness was ok, and there were roaches as well. Bed was not comfortable with paper thin pillows, and the shower head barely sprayed. Definitely won’t be back here ever again!

I've stayed there about 5 times, but this time when I got there, there was a notice to call a number, so I called they said I'll be there in 10 minute. ( before someone was always there) A guy should up and got my reservation and gave me the key. Got to the room, and looked the door had been kicked in before and half fixed, had to call and wait to get another room. The other room you couldn't lock all the locks.But stayed. Wish I could have gotten my money back. Will not stay at Instalodge,Karnes City, Tx again.

Needless to say when we finally got a new room we refused to leave our belongings in the room and made sure all 3 locks were locked on the door as well as moving a chair in front of the door since we were 2 females traveling alone and saw first hand that staff at the front desk were not on top of who was actually staying in which room. This is more of a long term stay place for construction workers or something along those lines and not a family type place to stay. The cleanliness was ok, and there were roaches as well. Bed was not comfortable with paper thin pillows, and the shower head barely sprayed. Definitely won’t be back here ever again!

I have stayed here ALOT over the last 1.5 yrs. Never had an issue with my stay,until this time. It would have been perfect has the housekeeping crew not woke me up before 7am each morning I stayed! When I opened the door this morning,I told them no I didn’t need service & I would be checking out today to which they responded with “ok what time” mind you this is 7AM. I said i don’t know like an hour & shut the door i gathered my things and left right after! I have a 6 hour drive back home,and didn’t get to sleep in either of those days!! Please fix the housekeeping issue. They shouldn’t be waking people up that early. Asking if they need towels! And also supply a DO NOT disturb sign for the people who don’t want to be bothered.most hotels housekeeping doesn’t come around until after checkout time…something needs to change!

My stay at this property was fair. The check-in/check/out staff is the biggest issue I encountered. Upon check-in, I advised the guy at the counter that, instead of a 2-night stay, I would be staying only 1 night and would be checking out in the morning. I was told that this would not be an issue and the additional booked night would be refunded. The next morning, 4 hours before check-out time, I went back into the office to turn in the card key to check out. (NOTE: Without the card key, there is no way to access the room). I made it clear that this was a check-out and the additional night would not be used. Again, I was assured that the additional charge would be removed from the credit card within 3-5 days. Long story short, the charge was initially reversed, within 2 weeks, but has since returned, one month later. Be careful with these people.
