Nice clean comfortable hotel but I would recommend having a designated parking lot specifically for hotel guests. Returning back on a Saturday night and we had to park at the other end of the lot because of the Casino and live event.

Glad they remodeled the rooms and dinning but the parking is another issue. If you have parking in back, there needs to be a door in back. There is a side door for guests but close to the handicapped spots. I have been in customer service for 40 years. Make it easy!

We travel to the coast a couple times a year and always stay at Blue Lake Casino. It’s clean. Staff is friendly and on-site food is always good. My son enjoys the pool and I like the proximity to the ocean. It is perfect for traveling between the redwoods south of Eureka and Trinidad/ Patrick’s point to the north.

I would highly recommend Blue Lakes! Every staff member I met was friendly, very helpful and seemed to enjoy working there. The room was beautiful- new renovations great shower with shampoo, conditioner, body gel, hair dryer etc. More than I needed for my quick one night stay. People seemed to be enjoying the pool, but I didn’t have time to jump in! I will definitely stay there again. They also have EV charging close by- a big plus!

The remodeled rooms were really nice. While they are pretty well soundproofed from adjacent rooms they do get noise from upper floors. If you’re a light sleeper you may want top floor. Mountain View means you see some the nearby mountains in the distance past Hwy 299. I told a friend recently that this is one a handful of hotels we’ve stayed at both domestically and internationally where the room pictures online actually matched the rooms you stay in. The location is great if you plan to stay multiple nights and do day trips up and down the coast. It is also nice for when the beach hotels you’re choosing from are undesirable or just unavailable. Blue Lake is a bit warmer when it gets chilly in the evening in the beach towns which was a plus for us. The Casino features some decent budget friendly restaurants. My daughters raved about the sushi place there. They also have a minimart to fuel up and grab picnic supplies. The staff was more than friendly and accommodating. Recommended for your next trip to the Northern California Coast!

This casino/hotel has been recently remodeled and is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are very sleek and modern, and the bed was very comfortable. The only issue we had was with noise. The walls are so thin, we heard a conversation out in the hallway like the people were sitting next to us in our room. In the morning, we were awakened by a phone buzzing (on silent mode) and realized it was coming through the wall from the room next door.

Very clean and nice hotel. Beds very comfortable and nice linens. Staff all very friendly. It’s a tiny town that closes early, our only dining option at 8 was the hotel sushi place which was pretty good. Only issue was drunk loud guests at 2am. Complaint to front desk could have been answered better, honestly I know they couldn’t have done anything about it but to say we should have stayed on the quiet side was weird. Had we known there was a side for those who wanted to sleep all night we sure would have requested it….

We stayed at Blue Lake Casino & Hotel for our Redwood National park trip. It’s a lovely hotel. Room was very clean and had all the amenities you would need: cable tv, k-pod coffee machine, safe, iron/ironing board, mini fridge, etc. Shower was nice with no water issues. They have 3-4 dining options but we ate at Sushi Blue all three nights because it was awesome. We didn’t utilize the casino other than walking through it to get to dinner. They have entertainment as well: Edwin McCain was playing while we were there and Jon Lovitz is due to be there in November. Overall, a nice place. About 40 minutes south of the park but the drive along the coast is beautiful and the roads are in great condition. Highly recommend.

The room was huge and very clean. We had a balcony to get fresh air during our entire stay. It seemed weird staying at a casino, but we didn’t even notice. The casino was completely separate. Not much around here, but we did go to a sweet little coffee shop close by - just a walk up window, but highly recommend - honeycomb coffee. Everyone in this area is very friendly.

Great place to stay while visiting the National Park. Our room was newly renovated, clean and plenty spacious for 3 travelers. It had a mini-fridge, a vanity and all the necessary toiletries which made our stay very pleasant. The beds were also very comfortable. Location-wise, it was very convenient to get around and explore, but the property itself was also nice and quiet for a casino. The only thing is the AC/heating units in the rooms are a little funky so it would either be too stuffy or sound like a hurricane was blowing out of the box.

We had a great stay. The jacuzzi upgrade was worth it. I regret the room service the last night. They were an hour half late and said they would bring my fish and chips and they threw them in a microwave and sent them to me. It was mushy and nasty. That is the only regret. That was Alice restaurant. I wanted my $45 back after what they brought me. But the hotel and Casino was super nice and the bed was comfortable. Huge room.

Great Hotel ,Casino and Staff!!! We really enjoyed our stay. However the restaurant was not open very late at night and sometimes closed in the afternoon. and there was a very limited menu. Very limited food options. This was really a bummer because every thing else was Great Including our waiter Peter. He was fabulous!!! Thank You For Hiring Peter!!! The Claim Chowder at the restaurant was Fabulous. They just need more things on their menu, and longer hours during the week.

This is a nice location with comfortable rooms and a quiet location. It is only a 10 to 15 minute drive to nearby communities for dining and other activities. A lot of nature experiences also are available near this area. The on-site restaurants are good and did not seem too busy if you don't want to leave the property.
