Hilton Garden Inn Wallingford/Meriden

Staff was very welcoming. They had a kitchen, full bar and free wine tasting when we checked in.

Comfortable hotel, very convenient to our family in the area. Nice pool and fitness area, polite, helpful desk staff.

Great hotel for business and leisure conveniently situated and quiet despite being on the major road in and out of town. Parking is plentiful, staff terrific and the bar is a hoot. Food is also very good for on the fly meals.

The hotel was clean and modern. The pool, fitness center and business center was clean, well stocked too. The restaurant, bar & lounge food and beverages were wonderful. We enjoyed the hotel food and hospitality much more than the local restaurant. Excellent experience.

The room was spacious but run down & outdated furniture and decor. Televisions are old and UNsmart with a big, cumbersome remote control. The desk staff was unfriendly; the girl didn’t even look up when handing us a fork from her drawer - she never got off the phone. Breakfast was super expensive ($17 for dry uncooked breakfast) but the bartender Tina was super sweet. Heated pool was a nice feature in the dead of a CT winter. Place really needs a fresh update.

We needed towels at one point, not enough cups or coffee/tea for the coffee machine and the bathroom needed cups also., No bathmat when the room was serviced the one time. TV audio was quite weak, needs a sound bar. The front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Pool was fantastic.

Here for a business meeting in the hotel. Nice facilities, everything went smoothly, rooms are nice, very quiet, and a nice little bar to boot.

Fridge was not cold, tv would not work unless I called the front desk. Pubic hair found in the shower on the shelf near the shower handles. Overall do enjoy the hotel with my prior stays. Just was not satisfied with this stay.

Great hotel, our room was cleaned well every day. The lobby area was always very clean. Very friendly staff, We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

The bathroom was not clean. There was hair stuck to the bathroom wall and coffee splashes on the bathroom door, also torn pieces of tissue under the sink. Ventilation in the bathroom is very weak, so the steam from the shower couldn’t evaporate. The chair upholstery was stained and dirty. The ppl at the front desk were very responsive via text. Beds were comfortable. This was my 2nd time staying there and will likely be my last.

We stayed for only one night, but it was clean, quiet and very comfortable. I dream about the pillows!

It’s was clean. Service at the front desk could’ve been nicer and we had zero internet and zero tv service in our room.

The stay was good. Staff were friendly. Room was clean but the Pillows were so uncomfortable- way too soft and squishy. You need firmer pillows. I asked for some but the pillows i was given were the same soft pillows - very uncomfortable.

Nice hotel. Comfortable bed. But terrible pillows. Bed platform sticks out and creates hazard for bumping of knees when walking past. Bright light from smoke detector is very annoying when trying to sleep.

Right off the highway, this hotel is perfectly situated. If you get up during the night for visits to the bathroom, I suggest bringing your own little nightlight. The room is super dark and there is only one super bright bathroom light.

The ground floor, receptions, and dining area are beautiful, clean, and modern. Everything is clean The rooms, hallways, and common areas for the hotels room need to be updated with more modern decor.

Bed were a queen mattress on plywood base no box springs or cushion very stiff hard beds to sleep on

The hostess (Tristean) is very unwelcoming, several things were wrong and not once did a thank you or im sorry come out of this ladies mouth. I checked in about midnight, walking up to the counter i was hoping to be greeted and nothing. I had to state why i was there who i was without even being questioned how may i help you. I asked Tristean the hostess if i correctly booked a double bathroom suite because i called prior to booking and this is what i was trying to book online, she answered me with "well you did book a junior suite" like if i was supposed to know this and being a first time guest i didnt the rate was different then i was shown online so i asked why she said there was a 20$ incentive fee per night so 20×3= 60 but there was 104.80$ difference that she couldnt give me an answer She gave me my room i kindly thanked her got my family and The room WASN'T a double bathroom. I tried using the room phone to call front desk several times and it wasnt working. I went to front desk Upon arriving she had a discussed look on her face and let out a sigh i told her the room wasnt a double bathroom and in disbelieve she said it wasnt? She was rude to an older couple in the snack area, and there was a fire outside that i notify her about and she had no urgency to check, when she did she told me the fire department was coming and for me not to stand there even though my car was in close proximity. The second room had hair all over and the pillow covers had stains i have photo

Excellent staff and service.

We were greeted by a really sweet professional young woman who welcomed us with a smile and lots of information. Our welcome after a long drive put us in a relaxed mood and the check in was flawless.

We were moving our daughter in to her dorm and usually stay here. It is always clean and the front desk attendant Candice was wonderful. Highly recommend!

Excellent stay. The front desk staff were professional, helpful and accommodating-particularly the manager and staff member Candace. The hotel was clean, quiet and easily accessible from the interstate. Will definitely return.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate.i would gladly stay here in the future.

Hotel service was excellent, very clean, allowed us to hang out in lobby at night, provided an extras asked for and overall friendly and pleasant.

Front desk check in was horrible. The clerk was as disinterested in me and his job than anyone I ever met at a hotel. Unfortunate as it sets the tone for the entire stay.

There were problems at check in (delays with the computer system) that the manager did not handle well and was very short and rude with the customers ahead of me in line. When it got to my turn I asked if he was the posted name of the manager on duty, since he was not wearing a tame tag. He said he was not. I then asked him his name and only then did he tell me. His attitude changed at that point; there was absolutely no need for him to behave so unprofessionally to customers checking in before I asked his name: no one waiting to check in was complaining and we were all very patient with the check in as we could see they were having problems The facility is very clean and well-equipped. My only recommendation is to skip the breakfast—they charge A LOT for what other hotels serve as their complimentary breakfast—the usual reconstituted eggs, microwaved sausage and bacon, and various defrosted breads and packaged muffins and cold cereal. You can find a much better breakfast much cheaper at any local restaurant. You can get eggs/omelettes cooked to order for an additional fee.

I'm disappointed, When I arrived, the hotel had their check-in system down. Therefore, they were doing check-in manually. The issues started when I was assigned room 325. I went upstairs, and went into the room to find out it was occupied by a lady. Then I went back to the lobby to report it and they switched me to room 327. When I went to the room, it was occupied again with a male sleeping in the bed. When back to the lobby to report the issue and got a new room 220. At this point, I was not even offered an upgrade or something for the inconvenience except a new room. The room was dirty and not at the standard in used to with the Hilton. Very disappointed. I do have pictures of the first room that was occupied by a lady.

Great location, easy to get to off the interstate. Daughter and I Christmas shopping trip with college friends, centerally located for us. Hotel was clean, good dining options, a little pricey but convenient, staff was friendly and overall area felt safe. We used the pool which was heated and worked out fine but a hot tub would have been ideal. Definitely recommend

The location was convenient to the Toyota Oakdale Theater. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area.

Staff members are friendly, nice room, it is around 15 minutes away from Yale University.

This property is situated in a nice quiet area with plenty of parking and conveniently located to major highways. Note that you will need to drive to off site restaurants, etc.

Very clean and comfortable stay. Also very friendly service at checkout! This is our go hotel whenever we are visiting our daughter in Quinnipiac.

Buyer Beware, especially ADA buyer ! Our King Sized Bed was quite high from the ground, I needed my wife's help to get into and out of bed. I almost slept on the couch. Couldn't get past bed with my wheelchair, my chair is only 24" in width. Main room phone was dead. Advertised Restaurant and In-Room Dining. Actually the bar was their bar, restaurant, and despite advertising Room Service, that was not offered. The bar had bar food and many food options on the limited menu were not available. Every Hilton Garden I have ever stayed at offered a buffet breakfast, usually at no cost, but worth it even if you have to pay. Not this one. All seats in the bar were bar stools, which is awkward as they are too high to have a conversation with when someone is in a wheelchair. One would have to go pick up food at the bar if one ordered "In Room Dining". We were disillusioned so we ended up ordering dinner thru UberEats and met driver in lobby. Despite being advertised, Vending machines did not exist. My room was advertised to be an ADA room, but there was not a single grab-bar in the room or bathroom. Room had no glasses, not even plastic cups. Toilet was low, grab-bar would have been required. No seat or grab-bar in walk-in shower, so unusable for me. This room had NO accessories for a person with a disability. Our room was on the 5th floor, had there been an emergency, I could not have used the elevator and would have been left for dead. ADA Rooms are on floor 1.

Clean and as expected from a Hilton garden. Breakfast was expensive for what you get. Kids had $12 cereal.

The restaurant staff and front desk staff were great. The staff member who had the wine and cheese tasting was really nice and we loved how it kept everyone in the lobby and steered them toward the restaurant: the food was very good. All in all (10 of us) basically we all said how we were all so impressed by this particular property and how we would stay here anytime!
