Schönes modernes Hotel gegenüber vom Hauptbahnhof. Super Verkehrsanbindung, liegt zwar an einer stark befahrenen Strasse, ist aber bei geschlossenem Fenster kein Problem. Zimmer gut klimatisiert. Sehr schöne Dachterasse mit Bar.

This hotels bathroom tub is a little too high for small and average people. I slipped and fell and bruised my upper whole right thigh. Older people please be careful!! The bar on the roof top is very nice, cold and windy but nice ambience.

Staff were friendly and generally helpful. The breakfast was nice, with a wide variety of items availabile. The room was fairly spacious but the beds were too soft and very uncomfortable. They have a rooftop bar but unfortunately every time we tried to go, there was a private event going on.

Cool modern hotel in a short walking distance from Berlin's central train station, the Reichstag and so on. I would recommend in particular the rooftop openair overlooking the train station, canals, with the Reichstag in the background; we had a lovely evening with drinks there. Excellent place especially if you travel by train.

Great hotel that is close to the central train station. Well decorated, clean and a good size. Really nice bar area and rooftop bar. Shame it was booked out for corporate events for both of the nights we stayed. The bed mattress was a little too firm for our liking but I would recommend the hotel overall if you are only in Berlin for a couple of days.

We had a good stay at Amano with nice clean rooms, great service, good location and ok breakfast. The downside was the opening hours of the nice bar on 6th floor, opened at 7pm and the service of the italian restaurant, quite uninterested of giving good service.

Great location (very short walk from Berlin HBF), check in was swift, the rooms clean and decent size (3 person suite). Air conditioning faulty on first night (meant loud night with the window open and punters shouting at 4am!). Other room fault being bathroom sink not draining properly. Otherwise, rooms were quite clean (although cleaning seemed to refuse to empty the bin and take any dirty glassware) and it was quiet one our air-con was fixed. We were refused entry to the in-hotel club after being told we weren’t wearing the right attire and needed a stamp from reception (free entry for hotel guests) - got scrubbed up and went to reception to be told it was a private event and no more hotel guests were allowed in (it wasn’t a private event and it was desolate when we went in and ordered a drink before being told to exit to change) - all felt very disrespectful and slightly embarrassing. Do not advertise your rooftop and bar if residents aren’t actually welcome to use!

Nice hotel great location steps from Berlin Central station. Friendly staff very accommodating. We tried the first night to eat at the on-site Italian restaurant and after approx.10 minutes of being ignored we got up and left. We tried it a second night and had better luck. The food was good and reasonable, service was fair. Overall the hotel is very solid, would stay again.

Average hotel, there was dried paint in the sink which was a surprise. Bedsheets and pillows were very faintly dusty, which normally wouldn’t be a problem unless you have a sensitivity or allergies to dust. Otherwise, nothing special. Average hotel for a decent price which is very conveniently right across the Berlin HBF.

Das Wasser im Waschbecken ist nicht abgelaufen. Nach Hinweis an das Personal wurde uns ein Techniker angekündigt. Beim Checkout am nächsten Tag haben wir das nicht behobene Problem erneut angesprochen - auf Nachfrage wurde uns dann erläutert, der Techniker sei nicht im Haus gewesen. Eine Entschuldigung gab es nicht. Leider hat zudem der Abfluss in der Dusche übel gerochen und es fanden sich fremde Haare in der Bettwäsche. Trotz der hervorragenden Lage und des guten Preises war das daher unser letzter Aufenthalt im AMANO Grand Central.

Perfect location opposite the Central Station and the main tourist sites are easily walkable from the hotel if you don't want to take the train or bus. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the WiFi was excellent too. My only complaint is the dim in-room lighting, but that seems to be common in hotels these days.

Check in was a long process even though we tried to used the express check in which did not work and know one there to help . There was no Tea making facilities there was a Nespresso machine but with only 4 pods which you had to pay for now milk not what you need after a long journey

The shower room in our double room was visible from almost any point in the room, either directly or via a large mirror. This was most awkward as we were a mother and son travelling together, and had to take our own steps to ensure each other's privacy, Whilst the room was great in other respects, we were not happy with the complete lack of privacy.

It is across the street from the Berlin Hauptbahnhof, and convenient. The area around the train station isn’t the cleanest. The room was sparse, and would make a minimalist happy. One chair, a few items to make coffee or tea.

The hotel is brilliantly located for the train station, so zipping about Berlin is so easy. It is clean and in good condition. The staff were helpful and polite at every turn. The room was small, and the mattresses slipped on the wooden base leaving a massive gap to drop into. The shower was comfortably sized but water rotated from hot to cold repeatedly during my showers.

Pros: Very good central location, good value for money, decent modern rooms and quiet considering it's next to a main busy road. Cons: Room can get a bit stuffy and hot and despite claim of "Aircon" doesn't get cold enough to make it fresh (maybe it's because its winter and they don't allow lower temperatures?). Mattress is quite hard and we had order extra pillows as the one provided is too low for our taste.

Nice clean hotel across the road from the Central Train Station and a Tram line, but it is also within walking distance to most historic sites. My only disappointment was that they advertise the rooms as having a fridge but they are not turned on so I couldn't keep my drinks cold.

Personal am Eingangsbereich an der Rezeption leider vollkommen inkompetent, überhaupt nicht serviceorientiert, offenbar überhaupt kein Fachpersonal. Wohl ein Zimmer für zwei Nächte gebucht war, mussten wir nach einer Nacht das Zimmer wechseln, auch eine für meinen Mann hinterlegte Karte für das Zimmer, konnte nicht zugeordnet werden. Inkompetenz auch gegenüber einer amerikanischen Gast neben mir, dem ein amerikanischer Stecker überreicht wurde, um in Europa amerikanische Geräte zu laden. So wenig mitdenken erlebt man selten? Oder ist das heute Standard?

The self-service check-in was tedious, the person available to assist in the process was unfriendly and provided help begrudgingly. Other staff, however, were helpful and friendly. The room was small (not atypical for Europe), but there was somewhat limited closet and drawer space. The location was good if your priority is being close to the main train station. However, there are better locations if you want to walk to destination sites.

Travelling for decades and that was the worst check in I've ever had. I could tell the staff were trying their best but most rooms weren't ready. Extremely long check in times. Didn't even get our original room booking but I'm with my nearly 80 year old mum. No one replied to my requests on expedia for an accessible bathroom. Getting a room an hour after check in is ridiculous. Had i not kicked up a fuss WHICH I NEVER DO we wouldve had to wait even longer. Over promising and under delivering is abysmal. We got there early 1pm was told the room wasn't ready which is perfectly fine but then got told 3pm. So we waited patiently. 3pm came. Waited in line 305pm got told a few more minutes were needed to finish the room. Went to the back of the line. 320pm got told the room still wasn't ready. Got told could be 20 minutes and to wait in line. This point the line snaked around the lobby almost out of the door waited 20 minutes to the side of the counter as i refused to line up again. Got told it'll be another 20 minute's. I'm autistic. I hate conflict. Ive worked at a hotel and in customer service. I never lose my cool. But I'd been up since 4am and it was almost 4pm and had my elderly mother to consider. Got a room that didn't seem the same at all but just wanted to get mum and myself settled. I'm sure the guys at reception did what they could with the resources they had but someone somewhere completely screwed up and made an absolute mess leaving a lot of upset and angry patrons.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in diesem Hotel, es liegt unmittelbar vom Hauptbahnhof und alles ist super erreichbar. Leider lässt die Sauberkeit beim Frühstück zu wünschen übrig. Zwar werden die Teller abgeräumt aber die Tische nicht abgewischt. Schade
