American Inn and Suites

This hotel was terrible. If I could have given it zero Stars I would have. First of all it was listed for $115 for two nights when we got to the hotel they charged me for one night and $25 check-in fee and then they charge me for the second night and the $25 check-in fee then they charged me a 3% card fee. After all that when we got there there was no refrigerator or microwave when they brought them I had to clean them before we could use them. There was dust everywhere the bathtub I had to clean before we can get into it and the sink as well. When I saw the stains on the top coverlet from previous guests and the sheets on the top were filthy, I went to ask for a refund. They refused to give it we were stuck there. This room was disgusting with a capital D. There was dirt on the floor, rubber bands on the floor from a previous tenant and dead roaches behind the toilet. There were cars in the parking lot in various states of mechanical breakdown and razor blades in the parking lot. Also there was no door knob on the bathroom so you couldn't close the door God forbid you'd get stuck in there holes in the drapes it was just disgusting. I will never stay here again. If you've come across this hotel run. Also check out time was supposed to be 11:00 but they put it at 10:00 so that when you check out at 11:00 they can charge you an extra fee. Even hotels.com couldn't help us. They just put a whole damper on the whole weekend. The hello workers are greedy and self-serving.

Your location was a real disappointment. Entire tiles missing in the shower, a literal pile of dirt in the corner by the tub, the towel was so stained it was grey, and to top it all off, the room door could not be locked. We left without staying. NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Complete waste of money. Should have just left without checking in when I saw the sign at the front desk, "NO REFUNDS AFTER 10 MINUTES".

Staff was nice and accommodating as best they could. First room had no lights or signal on TV with trash in parking lot & 3 junked vehicles in the back parking lot. Owner moved me to the front. Room was clean but no amenities at all. No fridge, microwave or coffee pot. Motel under some upgrades with what appeared to only have limited rooms available. Another junked truck parked in the lot on front side. TV in room only got 6 channels - none of which I had any interest in watching. Location was good but I wouldn't recommend. I was a single senior woman traveling alone for a funeral in the area. Considered cancelling reservation & going back to Lake City but staff was so nice and apologetic & I had been on the road over 8 hrs. I have my CWP & carry when I travel alone. Needless to say, I kept my protection at hand as it seemed only a handful of rooms were occupied the night I stayed.

Showed up to property to check in and sat out front of office for 20 minutes. No one in office. Rang doorbell three times, knock loudly and yelled thru the speak hole. No response. Googled the number and called. The gentleman on phone told us to go down to Budget Inn and stay there. That place did have someone at front who got us the room after confirming with the same gentleman. But due to “renovations” it was in rough shape. No cold water for shower after driving all day, toilet did not flush but sounded like water running all night and front door was not closing all the way. Would not stay again at either even for the one night.
