This is a family business and they were extremely kind friendly and helpful.. the property is beautiful... There is a pool and gardens and a wonderful restaurant. The walk to the beach is 7-9 minutes, but there is a place to park if you drive down, then a long set of stairs down to the lake. Definitely a must do!

Room was lovely and spacious with a fireplace. Staff pleasant and helpful. Had a bath tub which I appreciated as most hotels seem to be changing to showers only. Highly recommend if travelling in the area. Would be a lovely place for a special event.

The property is beautiful but the rooms are very dated. The beds are old and uncomfortable, the walls are thin and it just wasn’t a great experience.

The grounds and the winery here at Hessenland are beautiful. We loved being able to walk around and explore the gardens and lovely seating areas. The outdoor pool was a refreshing treat during this heat wave. The food and drink was fabulous and the staff wonderful, friendly, welcoming and helpful. We found the inn itself dated and tired looking. The rooms and sitting areas could use with an update and refresh like the rest of the property has had. On the whole though we enjoyed our stay.
