Celtic Manor is a huge resort that is beautifully presented. We stayed in the Manor House which is lovely and full of charm albeit a little tired in places. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Adventure Golf is fun. We also had Sunday lunch at Rafters which was delicious, with great service and fantastic views. The car park is not too close to the Manor House and is quite pricey. Just a consideration not to deter you as all in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return.

A nice stay in a beautiful hotel. The room was comfortable but could have been cleaner. The spa area is visually stunning and well maintained. We’ve been to better all round spa retreats, but this was a great inclusion as part of our stay. The staff were also very helpful throughout. Overall, it was a great stay, but slightly overpriced (especially the unmentioned parking fees).

Fantastic accommodation and facilities, lovely staff. On occasions you can get rooms at excellent rates but they make up for it other ways. In the bar - £19 for a burger and nearly £8 for a pint. Also the outdoor carpark (£8.50 per night) is 500m away up a very steep hill, the underground carpark is £20 per night.

The hotel is perfectly fine and in isolation it is reasonable place to stay. It is like a rabbit warren and tiresome to carry luggage around. The most irritating element of the hotel is the car-parking which aside from being expensive is around a 10-15 walk away. No great shakes unless of course it is raining, which it was!

Nice relaxing stay. Bit of a walk to the room but it’s an old building. Pool and spa are great. Nice restaurant with several other options in main resort.

Really poor service - no assistance with bags despite having a baby. No lifts so had to carry bags up flights of stairs and a pram. Waited 15 minutes to be sat for breakfast as staff was chatting in the kitchen. Room very big but quite run down in places. Windows may aswell have not been there, cold air straight through them. Luckily the heating worked well. Spa lovely and breakfast was really nice.

Great room and dining. Unfortunately the relaxing trip to the spa was ruined by screaming kids who were splashing everyone and jumping in and out of the pool. I understand that families are entitled to stsy, but the young girl on duty totally ignored what was going on. At one point a young boy was putting his hand over the small fountains around the pool and was spraying everyone with jets of water. Not what you want when you are trying to relax.

We didn't like the state of the rooms and common areas - the fourth floor was moth ridden both in the two rooms we tried and on the corridor. The rooms and common parts need a deep clean.

Our stay was disappointing. We stayed in the Manor House. We had no fridge , no robes. We had to get a bucket of ice to keep our drinks cool. Our carpet wasn’t clean. The bathroom had hairs around the bath and sink . There was rips in our carpet . Hotel dining wasn’t available. A lot of the spa wasn’t working like jets in the wirl pool. Not what you expect for a 5 star hotel. The best part was the staff. They were all lovely and accommodating. Won’t be back .

Stayed overnight before the Masquerade Ball. Room ok, needs a bit cleaning especially in the corners, lost of dust on the carpets. Comfy bed. General parking a bit of issue, as fair walk from the reception, and way too expensive. Sleep was disturbed by other guests on the floor above, we got complementary parking to compensate, which was nice.

The room was large and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good variety and very good quality. The bar in the evening was very relaxing with live music playing. Had a good atmosphere.

Second time staying in the Manor House and again very disappointed. Firstly parking is awful - no permanent disabled spaces outside, you have to park in the main underground car park which is chargeable and a long walk back to the Manor House. Secondly, the room had toenails on the floor, blood on the net curtains and used tissues behind the bed. Disgusting. The view out of the window was onto a roof which was littered with loads of rubbish, old paint tins, etc. Hardly what you would expect of a ‘5 star’ resort. Complained and only offered free parking and a bottle of wine - should have been upgraded immediately. Spa and pools are excellent, but booking system for the pool is ridiculous - allowing a 45 mins session! Staff are very good at waiving this though. There should not be any booking restrictions in place. Breakfast very good, Marta our waitress was wonderful, as were the staff and service as a whole. The hotel is next to a motorway and quite a distance from Newport town centre, so it’s costly to eat out if you need a taxi. Wouldn’t rush back to this hotel unless we had an immaculate room in the main resort.

On the whole we enjoyed our stay. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom modern and immaculately clean. However the small armchair was very worn and needs replacing. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night’s sleep. Our big disappointment was the service in the Merlin Bar. Although there were bar waiters there were insufficient for the size of the bar and number of people in it. We sat for some time waiting to be served. In the end my husband went to the bar himself but had to queue and waited some time to be served. However by the time we left there were about 15 people queuing at the bar. Not what we expected in a hotel of this quality

good stay, however the main jacuzzi by the pool was turned off as well as the sauna. the air conditioning was rubbish and not powerful enough to cool the room, the fridge didn’t work, and we weren’t given any robes.

Room was nice but too hot. Thermostat was not easy to operate to turn temperature down. Solution : perhaps room service people could re-set thermostat to 18• Breakfast was really disappointing, cooked food was not hot at all, in fact bordering cold! Not really exceptable

The hotel fitted me in very last minute which was much appreciated, however it meant pot luck with the room, which had a very hard mattress and plumbing issues (a gurgling sink and a bath which leaked to the room downstairs necessitating two repair men turning up at 10.30pm.) The air con couldn’t cope either, with the large number of guests on a humid night. So altogether a restless night. However the breakfast was plentiful and the staff get 10/10. They were fab.

I have stayed here before and it is a convenient location as i was attending a wedding reception at Celtic manor. The ac in our was quite loud and it was annoying because without it would have been too hot and I was annoyed at the fact that the fridge didn’t have any water or cold drinks. The shower was over the bathtub which was ok but the water was not draining quick enough and your standing in 6 inches of dirty water. The sausages were like leather.This is me being picky but on the whole it was ok

The rooms are big but very dated. The carpets are thread bare other than that it’s ok I’ve stayed in better hotels I’ve stayed in worse but definitely not worth the prices

No parking directly next to the hotel, which was probably on the website, but I wasn't aware of this. Have to pay for parking a short walk away, up a hill, but the porters will kindly drive you up with a very short wait (few mins). Was put in the wrong room initially, which wasn't fun at midnight, but they sorted this out very quickly and put me in a much larger room, which was kind. The rooms are generally nice, but carpets are quite dated and had some quite large holes in them. Otherwise very clean and bathroom very comfortable. Service desk and people working there are lovely. Swimming pool and sauna were one of the best I'd been to, really clean and nice warm temperature for the pool, not that busy when I went.

Nice hotel but I would give it 4.5 not 5 stars. It is missing the overall finish worthy of a 5 star hotel. Check In and Out is extremely slow despite having between 4 to 6 staff on the desk. This is the slowest check in and out I have ever experienced even from much lower standard hotels.

The customer service is extraordinary. We also got lucky and managed to play a twilight round of golf on our arrival evening. I lost my Apple Watch on the course but thanks to the extraordinary assistance from the reprint at the Manor House, the shuttle bus driver and George from the golf shop we managed to get it back before it was dark. The restaurant staff was also exceptional.What a lovely place and lovely people.

Really poor service - no assistance with bags despite having a baby. No lifts so had to carry bags up flights of stairs and a pram. Waited 15 minutes to be sat for breakfast as staff was chatting in the kitchen. Room very big but quite run down in places. Windows may aswell have not been there, cold air straight through them. Luckily the heating worked well. Spa lovely and breakfast was really nice.

On the whole we enjoyed our stay. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom modern and immaculately clean. However the small armchair was very worn and needs replacing. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night’s sleep. Our big disappointment was the service in the Merlin Bar. Although there were bar waiters there were insufficient for the size of the bar and number of people in it. We sat for some time waiting to be served. In the end my husband went to the bar himself but had to queue and waited some time to be served. However by the time we left there were about 15 people queuing at the bar. Not what we expected in a hotel of this quality

We tried to connect with the hotel repeatedly but could not get through by phone. We wanted to arrange a late check-in due to the distance from Heathrow. We ended up paying for another hotel in Swindon so as not to risk have nowhere to stay that night, losing the money we had spent on the Manor House. Even Expedia could not get through to them for us.

Finding the room in the manor house was a challenge and a journey in a lift 3 escalators and a 10 minute walk. Car parking charge is outrageous and another 10 minute hike wike with luggage in the rain. Not great if you are elderly.

Celtic Manor is a huge resort that is beautifully presented. We stayed in the Manor House which is lovely and full of charm albeit a little tired in places. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Adventure Golf is fun. We also had Sunday lunch at Rafters which was delicious, with great service and fantastic views. The car park is not too close to the Manor House and is quite pricey. Just a consideration not to deter you as all in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return.

A lovely place for a quick one night stay. Golf is available but i did not play. The check in is at the main hotel then its a 5 minute walk to the Manor House Hotel next door. The room was spacious enough with twin beds. The view from my window was not great. I just had a grass hill in front of me. I cannot review food as I did not eat in the evening but breakfast was very nice. There is parking on site with several different car parks. It cost me £12 to park overnight. The price for the room with breakfast was very reasonable and i would recommend staying here.

Close to main roads. Out door parking a bit out of the way. Very large hotel as it’s attached to the country club easy to get lost at first but lovely place. Room clean with window seat. Slight buzzing not sure where it was coming from as I didn’t use air conditioning.

The hotel is perfectly fine and in isolation it is reasonable place to stay. It is like a rabbit warren and tiresome to carry luggage around. The most irritating element of the hotel is the car-parking which aside from being expensive is around a 10-15 walk away. No great shakes unless of course it is raining, which it was!

One night stay in the manor house, we didn't stay in the room for any length of time, it was comfortable for a night, we had a lovely meal at the grill restaurant, great service all round, we then had a stoll down to the merlins bar where we enjoyed listening to the excellent guitarist

Booked Dinner in PAD Asian Restraunt as we really enjoy Asian food.On booking they were informed that my wife has Coeliac Disease, our waiter not informed that she had this allergy, she provided three choices of starter and three of main course and he would check with the chef, came back and advised non of the choices were suitable, but offered Squid as a starter and Sirlion Steak as a main course, but no sauce as this was not gluten free. Really disappointing as they promote themselves as a 5 star resort, at this point we got up and walked out, clearly they cannot cater for Coeliacs.

Staff were amazing Moved us rooms to be closer to main hotel Nothing was too much trouble. Food was good - not amazing and maybe slightly over prized for what it was (we ate in the grill) but overall a lovely break - it was the staff who made it!

Was a nice evening with my partner, drinks at the bar are very overpriced and the bath in our room had the enamel missing which is not very hygienic. I love a bath too but wasn’t getting in that. Food was nice.

The room was large and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good variety and very good quality. The bar in the evening was very relaxing with live music playing. Had a good atmosphere.

We arrived at 11am, room wasn’t ready until after 4pm. We couldn’t eat in the restaurants as they were full. The main pool was not available u till 7pm that evening.

We had a beautiful, spacious, clean period room with a four poster bed which was really lovely. The hotel's spa facilities were outstanding. However, my husband and I were a little bit disappointed with the lack of variety the menu at the Grill offered. We were also disappointed that we were unable to view our favourite programme together on Netflix due to the fact that the smart television in our room didn't allow us to mirror my phone's screen, which we thought was a pity.

10/10. The whole experience was just fantastic. Really good night's sleep. The spa facilities were top notch and the Check-in staff (Rob) was uber helpful with all sorts of advice. Returning to the area soon for another work trip and aiming to stay again.

Never again. Seriously one night was too long. We booked based on the overall photos of the hotel. Big mistake. Despite paying good money for the night it turned out they had booked us into the "Manor House". A distant and depressing corner of this sprawling complex that gives you "The Shining" vibes. Incredibly dated. Poorly maintained. Worse than a Travel Lodge. Ancient air con that only blows hot air. A tiny window that opened literally 10cm. Barely hoovered old carpet. Furniture that was probably fitted in the 90s. Fridge just removed. Cables just hanging everywhere. The bed was fine and the TV/shower worked. Breakfast was fairly good even! But overall this hotel was a weird mix of opulence and shabbiness. Seems as if they might have some good rooms (somewhere) but for the most part they play heavily on a grandiose facade. Not to mention the parking is a trek away from the hotel and the road to get there is insanely steep and potholed which makes a terrible first impression. Luckily the Receptionist was very nice and took our feedback professionally and validated our car parking as way of apologising for our disappointment.

I had a wonderful stay at The Manor House. From a brilliant check-in with very caring staff. I had a great sleep and the food was wonderful. I’ll make sure to stay there again next time I visit ICC Cymru.

Lovely hotel. Stayed in The Manor House part of the hotel, riom.veey clean and comfortable. Able to go upto the Main Hotel and use facilities. Staff very friendly and Helpful in both parts of the hotel. Food in the Merlin bar was lovely. Would recommend and will stay again

Essentially the Manor House reception is the only part we saw. We were directed to go to the main Celtic Manor resort to access our room at the rear of the Manor house. We purposely didn't book the main resort hotel to avoid concierge and bling wanting a quieter experience. Main bedroom was good, appreciate the fridge and air-conditioning however the cleanliness of fixtures in the bathroom was disappointing. The good lighting highlighted neglected dust on the shower fitting from the wall and head, also thick dust behind the random telephone in the bathroom.

We purposely didn't book the main resort hotel to avoid concierge and bling wanting a quieter experience.
