Grand Hotel and Studios

Have stayed here a few times. Its the first time I stayed in a wheelchair accessible room. The room was clean and a good size. However, I couldn't get the hot water to work in the shower. Therefore I couldn't shower.The room also didn't have a hairdryer. Otherwise it's a convenient place to stay.

2nd time I've stayed at Grand Hotel Wyong and another great experience. This time I had a Studio room, which was clean and relatively new, and had tea/coffee facilities (incl. biscuits), room service is available for lunch and dinner. They don't do breakfast, but there is a cafe a short walk away with alfresco dining available.

Rooms are in two separate building across the car park from the pub. My room was quite new & well appointed. Comfortable bed, good shower, effective air conditioner. No view. Quiet -no traffic noise, very little from other rooms I needed a room to stay in after attending an event at a nearby town before heading home in the morning. It was perfect for that.

What a great pub - awesome staff, food top shelf. Our room was very good, nothing to complain about at all. Pub has a great vibe. Highly recommend.

There is no hairdryer in the room, a bit disappointed, thought this a basic item to be provided. Went to the front desk, the guy said there supposed to have one in every room, another girl came up and said there is no hairdryer in the whole hotel, our family book 3 rooms for the weekend, for a wedding, and no hairdryer

The hotel is a nicely renovated pub, with extra accommodation in a 2nd building at the rear of the property (where our family room was located). The room was large, with a king bed and three singles, separated across two rooms. Great for families. The restaurant served nice food and was clearly popular with locals. Staff were all very friendly. We would definitely stay again.

Nice. Modern, comfortable, nice bed and amenities. Easy parking. Great food. Nice and clean except the carpet needed a good vaccuum.

It was secure, clean, comfortable and very accessible to Wyong Station, Wyong Art House and Village Central shopping centre. It is ideal for retired people who love seeing live entertainment. The Woodblock had first class food. The barramundi an caramel cheesecake were great. One minor point - The room I stayed in did not have Kleenex tissues.. I used my own. However, this is only minor. Overall rating 9.5/10. I will be back on 23/2. I will see you then!

When we arrived we were greeted by a couple having a very vocal argument which was not great for young children to hear. Then when we got to the room, we found it was dirty. The bins hadn't been emptied, there was hair in the drains and I found a hair on the pillow. My 8 month old also found a nut on the ground from a Snickers bar ( I know it was a Snickers bar due to wrapper in bin) and had it in his mouth. Lucky he's not allergic. Only positive was the food from the restaurant was very nice. We won't be staying again.

Accommodation did not reflect the advertised photos. Bathroom not clean. Comfortable beds though.

Cleanliness needs to be improved as room was quite dusty (curtains, windowsill and bed headboard) and also condition of the shower could be better if tiles are cleaned regularly in shower recess. Also not sure what caused a humming noise all night from the bathroom which was quite loud in the quiet of the night. Staff were accommodating and helpful.

The check is was great, the parking easy, dinner was good. So all in all a good stay until… Room appeared clean until we went to get into bed and found two rather long black hairs on the pillow. Now, my husband and I both have short brown/grey hair so we knew they weren’t ours. Very tired, and too too late to look for anything else. So put the pillow aside and went to bed. Shame, as everything else stacked up to a great stay.

The bin in the bathroom had not been emptied.

First off arrived checked it all was fine - had an accessible room as it was the only one available upon booking which is fine as i am disabled anyway. Had unloaded car entred room for it to be knocking us out with the smell of bleach the moment we got in the room, no ventilation , no windows opened, instant headache. We had to wash down the tiles in the bathroom. To make the smell dissipate as it was shocking. Told the manager he went to put us in another room only it was a third of the size and not suitable at all. So we stayed where we were. The room looks to be a part of an old hospital section as the heavy doors to the bathroom don’t lock as there isn’t any. It creaks cause of the heaviness of the door. Had no phone to contact reception desk, Also after asking for housekeeping to come in every two days we had it once only. Toilet seat was loose as, tiles & grout had mould in them, the shellve was useless as it was broken, shampoo, body wash and conditioner were a third full and watery. Tv was loose on wall. Felt like towels were used and not washed properly as they had stains on them. Pilliows sucked as no support in them which made for my head neck and back pain worse. Won’t be back in a hurry. Ps staff are wonderful to deal with just shame about the housekeeping and room condition lets everything else down.

We were in the outer building and the door to the building creeked loudly every time someone came in the building. Also there was a stain on the doona cover and the bathroom looked like it needed a bit of maintance and a good clean.

Highly recommend this hotel, spacious and clean with a great comfy bed. Beautiful ambiance with great vibe.

Rooms are modern and very clean! Large and easy parking and a great restaurant attached. Rooms are small and walls between the rooms are thin. Overall an excellent property.

Friendly and helpful staff. Not enough to compensate for the truly uninhabitable room. No chair or table, nowhere to sit other than on a bed. I had to put the folded up ironing board on a bed in order to have a flat surface of which to try and eat, type, write. Basically 2 beds surrounded by walls. Grossly expensive for what was. I've stayed here often over the years but never will again.

Room on the smaller side but adequate for a nights stay. Sink in the room instead of bathroom was slightly strange, along with the provided plates and cutlery but nowhere inside the room to sit and eat a meal. My biggest complaint would be the noise level when you’re in a room facing the Pacific Highway; whilst this cannot be helped by the hotel maybe improving the glazing on the windows would help. The other complaint and something the hotel can improve on is the amount of light which streams into the room via the top of the window. It appears to be from the lit up beer logo sign outside (this was in room 214) and was unbearable as it was all night

I was a bit disappointed with the standard of cleanliness and the mattress wasn’t the most comfortable. Overall, it was good, not great and for the price I think it is reasonable to expect better. I wouldn’t stay here again, but wouldn’t specifically stay don’t stay here.

The reviews online gave us hope that this place was very good. The room was quite small and the shower cubicle was small and didn't shut properly so it leaked all over the floor. But the biggest issue was that the noise from the neighboring rooms was constant, the neighbors weren't being loud the walls were so thin we could hear every conversation and step. The food was quite good and the staff were very nice, but we wont be staying again as the initial booking messed up on the platform and the change cost us extra, we could have stayed in a resort nearly for the price. Sorry for the negative comments but this was our experience

A beautiful refurb of an old pub. Customer Service is excellent - from check in to dining.

The manager went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable

The staff at this place are lovely!! They organised our early check in with ease and couldn't be more helpful. Very comfy room.

Unfortunately we had a serious incident of a man entering our room after 12.30am. Woken to light coming in our room the man soon left thankfully. I wedged a ironing board under the door handle along with a rubbish bin. There is no 24 hour reception. We did not sleep well after this incident. Rang hotel next day, they were helpful and got back to me after viewing the CCTV footage to confirm a man entered our room. Apparently confused going back to his own room. Have been given a full refund. Concerned how did another key card work on our door? We had moved rooms as the first had not been cleaned properly. We have not been given a honest answer by the hotel to how our room was accessed by someone else! Have stayed several times before and now reluctant to ever stay again. I have since felt anxiety and fear. Having to feel I had to block the door with an ironing board and bin, this in after thought was dangerous! Access to get out of our room if a fire or medical assistance to get in for emergency. Reception staff friendly and helpful.

The room was presented well, the staff were very welcoming. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great stay experience.

Really helpful manager that made us aware of all local attractions. Tentative staff and amazing service. Clean and well appointed rooms.

Surprisingly good for the location. Modern rooms, if a little quirky. Reception has limited hours. Very clean and friendly.

A convenient place to stay in Wyong and very close to the station. Meals in the hotel were good and not overly expensive. Only downside for us was room size - it was tiny for 3 people, no table or chairs of any description, only the beds ( queen and single)

The property was in a good location, walking distance to local eateries. Close to public transport.

The accomodation is seperate from the pub and was located at the rear of the hotel, it was very quiet, and opposite to the Council Chambers.

The property is conveniently located in the Wyong town centre. It is close to some lovely beaches on the Central Coast as well as the Entrance. The property has been recently renovated.

There was a problem at check-in as the fact that I had already paid for my accommodation was not showing on my record and the last four digits provided as my credit card weren't mine. However, I had the receipt and the receptionist had no issue with accepting that the room had, indeed, been paid for. The room was clean and extremely quiet - I didn't hear any noise from other rooms or from outside. The bed was very comfortable and there was excellent TV reception. As well as the usual tea and coffee, there were also biscuits. However, if you need a teaspoon, take your own - only wooden stirrers are provided. My only complaint about the accommodation itself was in the bathroom - the height of the wash basin is, frankly, uncomfortable if you are my height (163 cm). Having to hold your hands up to shoulder height in order to wash them is not ideal. Also be aware that there is no in-room safe. The hotel is very convenient to both the station and the Art House.

This was a trip for a family health reason and has turned out to be a very enjoyable place to stay. Would likely stay there again The staff was fantastic and the room was exceptional let alone eating in the restaurant the meals where great
