Excellent mini split made very little noise. The room was spartan, no TV, one hard chair. It was at the top of the stairs and could hear everyone, old building with wooden floors. The bathroom was small but well made. The problem is the pocket door, it is difficult to shut all of the way, if it is the bottom wall side of door can pop into room locking individual in bathroom, spouse was inside and couldn’t get out, luckily I was able to push on the bottom on the outside to get it aligned with pocket. Not sure someone could do it from inside. The other thing is the town, no place to eat, have to drive Lone Pine. Not a bad place but expensive for what is provided.

What a gem this place is! We recently stayed here for one evening passing through on our Eastern Sierra road trip. If your goal is reveling in the beauty and peacefulness of the Sierras, then the Winnedumah is the perfect place to match that vibe. The rooms are small but so clean and comfortable (it’s a 100 year old hotel, don’t expect a big box hotel suite) and the lobby/common spaces are gorgeous. They have recently remodeled and the combination of modern HVAC, WiFi, keyless entry, and the most luxurious bedding and bath products coexist with original beams, hardwood floors, and antique arts and crafts windows. Enjoy the simple but delicious continental breakfast, relax on the front porch and watch the world of the 395 pass by, or wander though the tiny but beautifully preserved town and you will feel like you stepped back in time- but with excellent Wi-Fi! The staff was so nice and let me borrow one of many books in the lobby highlighting the history and beauty of the Sierras. It was exactly what we needed that evening and this will definitely be our go to spot for future adventures!

Granted its an old hotel, no television and very small rooms for the price is a bit ridiculous, a little over $200 a night. The lady that checked me in was very nice and the roo. Was clean but more like a cell thn a hotel room. They should be more descriptive in their rooms, it was very disappointing.

Nice remodel. Very friendly and helpful staff. If you are older, go first floor. No elevator. Takes you back in time. Very good experience. 27 nice rooms. Some rooms are small. Think I would go with a suite next time. Lots of fun things to do in the area. The town is short on amenities but Big Pine has good restaurants and is just a few minutes away.

Stay away from this hotel. Mold everywhere n the bathroom, dusty, no TV, fridge, no screen on the dirty window which is next to a giant cypress tree. The bathroom door did not close, no shelves in the bathroom, very small sink, no closet at all and poorly insulated. Air conditioning blows on the face and extremely small room. Pillows were fat and had to sleep on a towel. Felt like jail.
