We are regular visitors to the Acacia hotel. We have always been satisfied with quality of service, professionalism of staff, and rooms and other facilities. Particularly enjoy having a drink or a meal by the pool. It is simply lovely. We highly recommend.

We spent two nights at Acacia Premier, including New Year’s eve, which was awesome with a buffet, live music by a great band and lots of fun. We also got to stay by the pool during our stay. Although there were only 4 sunbeds by the pool, we managed to get two. The food at the pool area was good. We also had breakfast included, which was good too. The room had a view over Lake Victoria. It was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The tiles in the bathroom were very badly done and we had expected a better standard for a hotel like this. However it was clean with good water pressure in the shower so it worked well in spite of the bad looking tile work. We had massage at the spa and it was incredible! The massage therapists are very professional and good at their work! Our only complaint for our stay is that the driver we had booked from the hotel to pick us up at the airport wasn’t there and we had to wait for quite a while and call the hotel several times before it finally arrived. This was really annoying since we had travelled for 24 hours and were really tired. However it all worked out in the end.

Checkin required an X-ray security screening, which was actually comforting. Front desk Service was efficient and fast. I booked as one person not even thinking about the fact my husband would join. The staff was concerned about the breakfast cost and told me my husband would have to pay a fee. No problem. We have an early flight and will likely miss the start of breakfast anyway. I DID request extra towels and I had to return to the front desk a second time before (one towel) was delivered. I’d rather be charged outright for an additional person than receive less than exemplary customer service. I do like that a mall is attached. And the view from the pool area is magnificent.

Staying at Acacia was nice, as always, nice view to the sunset over Lake Victoria from the terrace and most of the staff did a very good job - but some details needs to be looked at. Almost possible to get pool towels, rooms not set up as promised, the pool was partly unavailable / due to not announced (noisy) maintenance going on all day. I hope it will be better next time.

I thought the Acacia Premier Hotel was fabulous. The hotel location was next to a food mart which was perfect as I needed particular items. The food choices for breakfast was plentiful. I was able to eat dinner after a late evening check in and the food was excellent! I will return to this hotel my next time in Kisumu.

The plus includes its proximity to the commercial district and the a shopping mall below. The food was remarkable, Breakfast was a charm. The lighting in the room was not work friendly. We spent one week, there were no drawers, no iron or iron board in the room, available on request. The hotel staff was responsive to our requests, which were not many, they were excellent. The gym was a plus.

What a great stay at Acacia Premier! I had been staying at a competitor’s hotel not too far from here as I had been loyal to them for over 15 years. But, after they went under new ownership in recent years, and failed to deliver any meaningful change, I decided to try Acacia. I’m so sorry that I’ve waited so long! What a breath of fresh air for Kisumu. Thanks especially to Mary, Wycliffe, Otieno (gym), and Victor for their outstanding, impeccable, purely professional performance. I will absolutely be coming back again and again.

Probably the best hotel in Kisumu. Convenient location. Was there for a work trip. Staff was courteous and professional. They had minor issues with printer and electricity shutdowns but nothing that was any kind of major inconvenience for my stay. Also enjoyed the restaurant menu.

Acacia Premier Kisumu is a sure bet! Great place to stay or visit , enjoy the ambience and meals, lovely rooftop pool and view of the Lake Victoria, amazing friendly Staff. Thank you Dancan and Cyprian, and especially the waiting Staff. Looking forward to the next visit

The Acacia Hotel is overpriced and needs renovations. There was an issue with water in my bathroom and the internet was not stable. This made it difficult to work. Was also promised a view. The view of the lake was obstructed which needs to be better described. Management and staff were lovely, it is the ownership that needs to assess what they are offering and adjust the pricing.

The hotel needs to invest in sound proofing. There is a mosque next door who start prayers early morning from 4:30am and are loud so i didn't get much sleep.

We stayed at the Presidential suite which is huge. We loved the walkable location. Kisumu is a very clean city. The cleanest I have been to in Kenya and a role model for what Nairobi could be. The hotel is well located.. with great views of the Lake and close to the airport.

The sliding door to the room leads to a shared balcony with other rooms. Well the door was not secure, the locking mechanism was cheap and bent and could easily be opened by pushing it which puts valuables at risk for being stolen. That is my only complaint

We are regular visitors to the Acacia hotel. We have always been satisfied with quality of service, professionalism of staff, and rooms and other facilities. Particularly enjoy having a drink or a meal by the pool. It is simply lovely. We highly recommend.

We spent two nights at Acacia Premier, including New Year’s eve, which was awesome with a buffet, live music by a great band and lots of fun. We also got to stay by the pool during our stay. Although there were only 4 sunbeds by the pool, we managed to get two. The food at the pool area was good. We also had breakfast included, which was good too. The room had a view over Lake Victoria. It was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The tiles in the bathroom were very badly done and we had expected a better standard for a hotel like this. However it was clean with good water pressure in the shower so it worked well in spite of the bad looking tile work. We had massage at the spa and it was incredible! The massage therapists are very professional and good at their work! Our only complaint for our stay is that the driver we had booked from the hotel to pick us up at the airport wasn’t there and we had to wait for quite a while and call the hotel several times before it finally arrived. This was really annoying since we had travelled for 24 hours and were really tired. However it all worked out in the end.

Checkin required an X-ray security screening, which was actually comforting. Front desk Service was efficient and fast. I booked as one person not even thinking about the fact my husband would join. The staff was concerned about the breakfast cost and told me my husband would have to pay a fee. No problem. We have an early flight and will likely miss the start of breakfast anyway. I DID request extra towels and I had to return to the front desk a second time before (one towel) was delivered. I’d rather be charged outright for an additional person than receive less than exemplary customer service. I do like that a mall is attached. And the view from the pool area is magnificent.

We stayed at the Presidential suite which is huge. We loved the walkable location. Kisumu is a very clean city. The cleanest I have been to in Kenya and a role model for what Nairobi could be. The hotel is well located.. with great views of the Lake and close to the airport.

I thought the Acacia Premier Hotel was fabulous. The hotel location was next to a food mart which was perfect as I needed particular items. The food choices for breakfast was plentiful. I was able to eat dinner after a late evening check in and the food was excellent! I will return to this hotel my next time in Kisumu.

Acacia Premier Kisumu is a sure bet! Great place to stay or visit , enjoy the ambience and meals, lovely rooftop pool and view of the Lake Victoria, amazing friendly Staff. Thank you Dancan and Cyprian, and especially the waiting Staff. Looking forward to the next visit

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel multiple times as we return to Kisumu to visit family and friends. We are never disappointed. It is a wonderful hotel with excellent staff. The poolside restaurant is particularly good. Highly recommend.

My father and I ate there daily throughout our stay without experiencing any stomach-related issues, which is noteworthy given our previous travels to rural areas in various countries. Overall, despite the areas that could be improved, this is one of the best hotels in the Kisumu area and, in my opinion, represents one of the strongest accommodation options currently available locally. Almost to mention, the sunset view from the poolside grill bar, is to die for! And the entertainment via nightly themed and promotions are great value for money!

It is not the most luxurious hotel in the world, but it appears to be the best hotel in the city of Kisumu. Hence why I chose to stay here after reading reviews of other local hotels. The fish dishes here are very tasty and the portions are generous and worth the money.
