Upon awakening, I felt rejuvenated and appreciated Jay's amiable nature and positive perspective. The parking facility is remarkably convenient.

Check-in/check-out is quick and easy. Staff is very friendly. Room is clean. Parking is very easy. It is also very easy to access freeway, or drive locally to city center. Target/Small & Final nearby, multiple dining options.

I was initially hesitant to book this place since it’s categorized as a motel and doesn’t offer many on-site amenities. However, after reading the glowing reviews from past guests, I decided to give it a try—and I’m glad I did. The positive feedback is absolutely accurate. This place is a hidden gem in Pasadena. The room was spacious, spotless, and very well maintained. It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The property is located in a quiet, safe area with convenient parking. The location is also excellent—close to grocery stores, restaurants, cafes, fitness centers, and major freeways. I’m really glad I took a chance on this place. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, reliable, and affordable stay in Pasadena.

Easy parking close to room, microwave, fridge, huge tv, huge shower, friendly staff

Peaceful and quiet for the most part. Not overpriced. Simple. A good place to park for sleep and be out most of the day. Have stayed here twice and would rather stay here than the other overpriced lodgings on East Colorado Blvd. I'll be back.

For around 100 bucks a night and free parking this place is decent if you just need a place to sleep. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. There was a decent sized mini fridge and a microwave too. The staff was friendly too.

Greetings to all I am eager to arrive, as last Monday was Memorial Day. I anticipate coming in the evening and look forward to resting there. The accommodations are exceptionally comfortable for an overnight stay, with ample parking available, and the manager is very amiable. It is financially prudent to reside there. Come and examine it! Basic room. Updated bath. Parking available each time I needed it, even after 10PM. Mgt. doesn’t rent to partiers in my time there. Parking felt safe with trade show goods in car.

Excellent hotel for the price. Very clean and nice looking room with all the amenities you need. No improvement needed.

For some reason this property only puts a flat sheet and not a fitted sheet or any type of mattress protector over the mattress. When you move around at night you end up waking up on the bare mattress that every other person has likely ended up sleeping on. The room seemed like it was recently remodeled and I appreciate the laminate floors instead of carpet in the rooms but I was disgusted when I woke up and found that I was sleeping on a dirty mattress.

I had tempered expectations for this motel given the price point, but I was still incredibly disappointed in our stay. Upon entering the room, the air was stale and smelled foul, somewhat sulfuric like a restroom and cigarettes. Because I could not open the windows, I turned the air conditioning and fan on in the hopes that it might make the room more bearable. The door and adjacent wall were dirty, the comforter on the bed looked very old (not any of the newer ones pictured in management’s photos), and even the sheets were stained. I didn’t bother taking photos, because I checked in quite late for only a one night stay and I wouldn’t normally write a bad review for a hotel based on these previously mentioned factors. The reason I decided to write is because our room had BED BUGS. The day after checking out of this motel I noticed multiple bed bug bites on my body (anyone who has had the misfortune of dealing with bed bugs knows that they can take hours or days to appear). These are definitely bites from bed bugs, not other insects, and we did not stay anywhere else where they may have come from. When I called to notify the motel and suggest that they treat the room, I was simply informed that “no one else has complained.” I did not receive any apology or compensation, and though I am not optimistic based on the response I received, I sincerely hope that they will take measures to inspect and treat the room so that other guests do not have the same experience.

The floors haven’t been mopped for who knows how long and the back of the door is white with all kinds of fingerprints and dirt, very dirty, and the view was facing. The parking lot seem like a motel, not a hotel.

Everything was nice. Room was super clean and furniture comfy and room was large.

No window. Sheets didn't cover the mattress fully. Someone's hair tie and hair were left on the bathroom doorknob. There was no smoke detector, just dangling wires on the ceiling.

Terribly dirty mattress covered with only one small sheet, which does not even cover the mattress completely. Everything is very dirty, I don't even want to go into details. And there is no safety latch on the door.

The room was clean and updated. I wasn't provided Soap or shampoo Etc. Also there wasn't a blanket on the bed. It only had a comforter that was as thin as a sheet and it crinkled when I moved.

Upon check in, you can’t even enter the office. You push a doorbell for someone to come to the outside window and service you, like somewhere where you do payday cash or something like that… Floor was scratched up upon our arrival. You can hear everything, if your AC isn’t on. I could hear people taking next door outside, them opening their door which sounded like our door being opened. Very thin towels. Bedding was just a sheet (no down comforter) and a thin quilt like top blanket which pretty much falls off the bed as your sleeping and moving around. Beds were uneven. Every time we moved, it felt like we would fall off the bed, unstable. Water pressure sucked, showers took longer than usual due to water pressure. The water head looked as if it wasn’t cleaned in at least a month. Rust like stain on sink. No toothbrush, toothpaste, brush/comb (if you forgot one, you’ll have to go to store). Not very convenient.

Only issue was if you like pillows bring your own. They give you two of the flattest pillows i have ever seen. But the room was very clean and updated. No bugs. And quiet. Wifi worked.

We had some noisy upstair occupants. However, we so tired that after initially waking up we went back to sleep.

Wasn’t a horrible spot, just not the most pleasant. The toilet ran if you didn’t adjust it just right. The room looked like a mismatched garage sale of furniture and starkly decorated. It had an ironing board with no iron. The soap was microscopic with the shampoo in catsup type packets. Basically a ok place to sleep for one night as we did.

The close to a 5-star rating is pretty accurate. I stayed in a room with king size bed, it is spacious, clean and looks great for the price. I slept soundly and I did not feel any insect bites. The light going into the room can be improved possibly with blackout curtains or something else practical. It’s not that burdensome though, I just need to sleep on one side opposite the window.

It’s cheap so don’t expect a bunch of amenities, but I was only there for a bed and shower, the rest of my time in LA was spent in the city. So if you’re looking for a quiet place to sleep and eat when you’re done adventuring this place isn’t too bad! The area is super quiet, don’t let the look on the outside of the hotel scare you off, it really is so quiet during the night, traffic starts to become semi loud inside the rooms around 10-11am but other than that it’s great. A/C works wonderful and kept the whole room cool while i was away in the city, manager is nice and super efficient getting you into your room. The only thing i can complain about is the sheer thinness of the walls, i could hear everyone doing the dirty, and the walls behind the fridge/microwave had stains so it gave the room a dirty feeling. Only having 1 thin sheet on the bed can be problematic for some but it was high 90s my whole trip so i didn’t mind it. Overall pretty good experience, it’s right in the middle of a bunch of food options and target is right down the road, 5-10 minute walk if that. Great little cheap spot to just chill out at when you’re done with your plans inside the city

Outstanding ! A hidden gem in a prestigious, location, adjacent to multimillion dollar homes! More than anything, managers, Kim and Kenny are fantastic — kind helpful, and accommodating! They are always willing to go the extra mile to assist their customers, and their commitment to excellence brings me back! You won’t find a better stay than this in Pasadena!

Everyone who works there is extremely nice and very helpful. And super accommodating. Bed was comfy, enjoyed the hot shower. Something you don’t always get at either hotels or motels. So really appreciate that here at this stay. It’s a very quiet area to enjoy a good nights sleep. Something else this motel has over others is their wide variety of cable channels. Some other motels don’t carry broadcast channels on their TV. But here you can stay updated with local and national news, sports, and premium shows on HBO. Wonderful stay!

Did not allow me to check in because I left a previous honest review. Also refused to contact Expedia to issues refund. BBB is now aware of these horrible practices

Stayed in a room with a queen bed, the room was nothing compared with the king room for cleanliness. You would think that cleanliness should be consistent. Also, the person I spoke with on the phone is rude and hung up on me while I was still talking. It looks like there was a change in management recently.

I arrived late and very tired from work and the clerk was cheerful and accommodating. I asked for a 1st floor level room due a bad knee in which climbing stairs would be difficult and I was accommodated. I really appreciated that gesture.

Very sparse rooms. It was clean but felt like a Motel 6. In addition, there was a loud screatching noise from the pipes that went on all night. In the morning the manager admitted they have known about the noise and put me in the room anyway without telling me. Then he would not refund the bill or make any concession on the cost. Bad experience. Won’t be back

Loved this cute quiet location! Close to everything! Location felt like i was in one of hose cute little New England hotels. Will definitely be staying here again!

I really liked how hospitable the owner was. His son was a tad stand off"ish" but nevertheless, the room was very clean, the bed was very comfy and the area was rather quiet; although the East side has always been. Outside of the ambulance a few times and couple speaking with volume, it was peaceful. I am a Pasadena native, and I must say, the motel's have improved from how they used to be. The Pasadena Lodge is very close to convenience stores on either side, there are places to dine, get gas and the guitar center is not far.

Hotel is well located for services and activities north of LA. Traffic was difficult for LA itself and LAX. It also had some road noise but there was little noise from the other rooms.

Two very thin bath towels….. Soap enough for the birds…. No coffee machine….. I can go on and on…. Bed so very uncomfortable…. Will never, never stay at Pasadena lodge again.

The hotel was ok, but the only thing in the room was the bed and two bar stools. No desk. I don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel that didn't have a desk or table. I had some work to do and it was not optimal not having a desk. There was no breakfast, not even coffee. The front lobby is locked at all times. It seemed like this hotel is used to catering to "long-term" residents rather than travelers. The staff was friendly enough, and the room was clean, though a second trash bin would have been helpful. I doubt I'll be back in Pasadena any time soon, but if I do return, I don't think I'll stay here. It was too expensive and didn't meet my needs as I had hoped.
