Great St Helen Hotel

Super location, satisfactory room (for 1, it’s not a proper double bed!) but tiny, hot and bright!

Data leak happened when booked with this hotel, scammers have got our names phones email details and check in check out dates. If you decide to book with these guys make sure you be vigilant. I wouldn’t use their wifi either or give them any important card details upon check in.

My room has lots of little tiny flies. I woke up at 5am and used my phone in the dark, only to find the screen attached lots of tiny little insects. At first I thought it was just one or 2 but after killing them, more and more came. I immediately got dressed and checked out. Felt disgusted. On the face of it, location and room are ok ... But flies? Horrible. Told the receptionist and they said "Did you take a photo?". Raised my concerns with hotels. Com

When I booked the room for 2 nights, the day before, I did not realize through the pictures before I did the booking, that the hotel was squeesed in between skyscrapers in a very busy financial area - whith extremely much noise from all kind of traffic and many thousands of people out on the streets. The room had black furniture and it was not the greatest idea in a small room were the bed takes the most of the space. Only place for suitcase was on the bed table. The room was small, but the bathroom was extremely small. For me as a tall person it was a bit tricky using the toilet because the half part of the toilet seat was under the sink, and my leg half stuck.. I dont know who did the renovation of the bathroom, but my yong teenager told me "Who did this renovation?! It so poorly done!" I had a check on it, and wow! - She was right! It Looked like someone did it in a very hurry, painting on the wall klinkers in the shower, and silicon along the floor It was two very old 1-glass windows in the room that was not able to open for some air. We failed getting some new air in to the room, when we sufferd from a headache from the strong odor of the hotel's cleaning products. It was air conditioned room. The last day I found the instructions, in a drawer! It should been on the wall! The 2-glass window that were able to open is placed in front of the very old 1-glass window. The only thing it gave us were noise from the traffic outside, so we close it quite quickly.

立地はいい。ただそれだけ。 はじめは地下の部屋に通されたが、ゴミ集積の部屋の隣で非常に臭かったので部屋の交換を希望した。　4つ星でこれはない。交換してもらえたが、より狭く、清掃が行き届いておらず、エアコンがきかなかったりとイマイチであった。スタッフの対応は悪く、めんどくさそう。　星4つの評価は何かの間違いだと思う。
