What a wonderful stay! Shauni at the front desk was lovely! Very knowledgeable and friendly - made us feel right at home. She’s an absolute gem. The hotel was beautiful and so clean. Our room was perfect. I can’t wait to come back.

Overall, the room was clean and practical. On day one we discovered the toilet seat was broken off one hinge posing a safety hazard. Also noticed coffee maker was not a Keurig nor was it a drip type as shown on their website so the website needs to update their current coffee maker. The kitchenette did not have any dish soap or soap for the dishwasher for each small issue I notified Katherine at the front desk and she got on it and took care of it immediately. At check-in, we were checked in by Katherine who was an absolute doll, sweet as pie and super friendly. Overall, staff at check-in were nice, as well as helpful. As for the staff working the kitchen area and room service my impression was they were just not happy doing what they do and it showed. We arrived and checked in on a Wednesday afternoon went out south sightseeing Thursday before a concert. That evening, we realizedrealize the room was not visited by housekeeping. Good thing we make our own beds and tidy up but we had to ask for extra towels and extra toilet paper on day two. On day three we were out of tissue paper. Breakfast food was very good with at least three different proteins in addition to scrambled eggs and carbohydrates, but for an upscale hotel to serve breakfast on paper plates, plastic forks, and the small plastic cups, the type used by dentist in the Splatoon on our last day, which was Saturday was a big turn off. Our first two days we had glass plates, glass, cups, and silverware. That’s cheap!

The breakfast offered more healthy options than I’ve found at many hotels, and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, the room was very poorly cleaned. The sheets did not appear to have been changed; we found hair and residue in the beds. The bathroom smelled unpleasant, and the kitchen had very few utensils and no basic cleaning supplies, such as dish detergent or paper towels. The fire alarm also went off in the middle of the night, and we had to wait outside for about an hour. I understand that emergencies can happen, but guests should be able to count on clean bedding. Finding a dirty bed made the stay especially disappointing.

Very clean and modern property located near a lot of restaurants and shops in Pittsburgh's Strip District. An easy walk to, say, the Andy Warhol Museum and a very generous free snacks-and-drinks period if you happen to stay on a Wednesday evening.
