H&H Motor Lodge

Very old property. No lock on the bathroom window. Could not lower the heat. Very tight parking. Staff was great. Very friendly and helpful.

This is an older property which has not been maintained or updated. It is deteriorated and unsatisfactory. The room doors are old, flimsy, and secured by inadequate "mechanical" locks which outlived their use by dates many years ago. These are old house type units that were cheap when new and not adequate even when new for commercial use. Now? The key for room 32 also opened room 31. Heating is from floor units which are slow to respond. In one of our two units, the floor heating was broken and we had to use the window unit, which, in fairness, did provide adequate heat. The parking lot is rough, IMHO needs a repave. Or maybe that's "normal" with the substantial winters in this area? There isn't any system for a wake up call, that's DIY. There isn't any breakfast. Etc. I felt sorry for the desk clerk. She mentioned that new ownership plans to make repairs and update the property. Until then, I suggest you find other options.

Basic motel stay. Ice machine was broken:( Nice to have Safeway close.

Overall property was good for the value. They had exterior renovations and painting going on. Will be cute place in a few months when completed. Room was nice, clean and private back location w easy parking. Would stay here again. 👍👍👍👍

There was no locks on the windows which was at street level. No amenities. Hot water takes forever to get.

Didn’t like anything. No screens on windows which were dirty and old. Very strong and unpleasant smell of a cleaning product. Not enough hooks/racks for towels. Clock that doesn’t work. Cramped room. Cramped parking and had to back out the whole way.

This hotel is okay. I paid a little over $100 for a night. It is clean, but it didn't feel very secure as there was only a doorknob with an actual key, and no deadlock. Lots of noise because you park right in front of your room. The towels were just a bit larger than hand towels--they definitely need to upgrade those!

The location was great however the window in the bathroom did not even lock the fridge was hot the hair dryer didn't work had to wait an hour for ice. When I mentioned the hair dryer didn't work the rude lady in the front said well we don't have maintenance on the weekends asked for more towels as there were 2 of us 1 towel each they only gave us 1 towel with an attitude at. Not to mention they charged my card before I even checked in. When I called and asked the lady on the phone was rude and said I charged it because it is required. The only positive was the guy at night was very nice. Would not stay here again. Oh and the water for the shower was cold not even luke warm.

A great place to stay if you want to walk to downtown Manitou Springs or to the starting line for the Pike's Peak Ascent or Pike's Peak Marathon. Good on site laundry and ice machine. Nice breakfast room for meeting people. Pretty good breakfast, too. Phil

Everything was great. It was very clean and the front desk worker was friendly. My two complaints are tight parking and the mattress being quite stiff and hard. Other than that it was a clean and good experience.

The room itself was fantastic Note for Housekeeping the bathroom needed a thorough hazmat redux. The floor and the toilet showed signs of somebody having accidents with dark spots on side of toilet and floor and strong urine smell. It's set in a nice area and can walk easily to find food and or grocery.

Good Value for the price paid. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Heating unit was load but always travel with earplugs :-) Our room was up a flight of stairs. Would stay here again.

Staff was rude at check-in; door lock to room did not feel safe/secure; room smelled of mildew/old smoke; floor around toilet not clean/smelled of urine; room temperature was impossible to regulate; shower faucet was tricky and water only got lukewarm (in sink as well).

The rooms were so filthy and run down that we didn't even stay. We moved on to a different city and stayed there.

I like the accessibility to the highway. Floors are dirty, specially around the toilet. The smell is a little overwhelming. may need to use vanilla scent to help with that.

Room very small, did not look like the photos on the web site. Shower curtain liner was so gross, no soap dish in shower no where to put soap. Will not be back

For the money this is the worst value place I've ever stayed at. They charge what you would expect to pay at a Best Western, but what you're getting is a very old, polished turd of a motel. The bed was uncomfortable but acceptable, the pillows were so hard, like someone said previously, it felt like they stuffed them full of rolled up t-shirts. Accurate description. The toilet was so small and was nearly touching the wall next to it and was difficult to use. The TV wouldn't turn on using the remote so the front desk guy came in to turn it on using the hidden button. We would never stay in this place again.

It's clean and remodel, leaving a wall heater next to the bed blocking the heat plus still leaving the heater from the 70s??? After room got remodel No Internet, not T.V

Needs an update/refresh. Bathroom sink was stained and cracked. Foam topper on an old mattress and the sheets showed their age. That being said, it’s an interstate motor lodge, so about what you’d expect! Bottom line. I would stay here again. It was a $107 room and you get what you pay for.

Nice and clean. The TV and internet was terrible. It has a small bathroom. Nice people run the place.

The bed was hard as a rock, and the pillow was flat and tiny. This might be a good crash pad for young healthy skiers, but not good for older people with aches and pains.

We stayed one night and it's good enough for that, but I wouldn't stay again. The bed was so hard, that my arms kept falling asleep when I tried to lie on my side. No extra pillows and the air conditioner....either had to have it on or it would turn on and off constantly on auto.

Staff is totally awesome. Room was very clean. Bed was okay and pillows were flat and useless. TV is not cable…apps only which for me was frustrating.

Shower did not have any shelf or hanger to put shampoo, conditioner, or soap. Television signal was erratic. Wifi reception was poor. Otherwise, was satisfied.

Great location ... walk to much of the town. Staff was not helpful when minor problems occurred.

Staff was amazing and friendly. I left an important item back and they were able to find it hold it for me till I came back in so so grateful for the amazing staff at this location A1 service

The service is excellent. The woman working at the front desk is excellent and respect

My dad's heat literally would not shut off, my tv had to be shut down using the power strip and it always came on at full volume, and there was no place to putt my shampoo or soap in my shower (I bought and left a shower caddy there). The price was reasonable and the front desk staff person was awesome. She did offer to move both of us. The hotel has great reviews so I know at least some guests liked it.

We had a double queen suite which was very adequate for us and our dog. The staff was always very helpful.

When we arrived at 4pm. We were told they had no rooms available. After showing my reservation, the lady at the front desk talked to the cleaning lady. Both said they just got to work and no rooms had been cleaned at all. I asked for a normal room instead of the fancy room we booked. No. Again no rooms at all were cleaned. When asked when it would be ready she asked me why I was in a rush!!!! In the end we had to go somewhere else and couldn’t stay there. After 12 hours in the car, our family was exhausted only to be talked down to.

The staff was great, the room was good for a one night stay.

The woman at the front desk was incredibly rude. She was also very rude over the phone. The pictures are nothing like what it actually was. I would not recommend staying here. I will never stay there again.

The H&H Motor Lodge in Idaho Springs is very comfortable, clean, and reasonably priced. My only criticism is that the evening desk attendant could be a bit more cordial to incoming guests, but perhaps he was pretty tired and ready to get off from work. I didn't arrive until about 10 pm.

The area is worth the stay. It’s a cute little town.

I found the H&H Motor Lodge to be a perfect place to lodge before heading into the mountains the next morning and to beat the ski traffic along the I-70 corridor. The rooms was clean and comfortable, and Idaho Springs is quite walkable. The Lodge is also conveniently located near a Safeway grocery store and within easy walking distance to shops/restaurants.

Very basic, no frills motel that is clean, quiet and in a great location!

Idaho Springs is a great mountain town. Awesome historical downtown with lots of dining and shopping options

Really nicely remodeled. Great location and value!

Simple and straightforward, no frills lodging in Idaho Springs. Easily walkable to the Argo Mill and Miner St. shops and restaurants. Check-in was easy and fast. Great value for a mountain town. I will stay here again when I return to Idaho Springs.
