Casa Pellegrino Boutique Hotel

Was hard to find, didn't know that the Casa Peligrino was part of the HBH group.

Clean hotel and great beach location. Disappointed parking not included and a cheap breakfast.

One block from the beach! When you check in, they charge about $28 a night for a service fee (on top of the price already paid on Expedia). They also require a $100 refundable deposit. The lobby is in a separate building which was a little confusing to find but luckily they have someone there 24/7 to answer the phone if you have trouble finding it.

Charged for parking without specifying. Charged for ice, no cups in room then proceeded to charge for the cups. The check in process is miserable over two blocks away, VERY minimal parking. Fear that you’re going to get towed because of this. Lastly, got awoken by maintenance 30 mins prior to checkout time with a man yelling in our WINDOW, who does that.

Check in process was awful slow and outside of the propriety. Breakfast was right outside my room so I was lucky compared to ppl that had to come to the propriety for breakfast. Room was super clean that was a big plus. Paying for parking was unexpected and additional expense

Finding the office was difficult. Had to pay extra charge when I got there. If you like coffee.... forget it. They had coffee machine in room that takes the pods. No pods to make coffee with and nowhere to buy. They had coffee in office that was very old/ terrible. If they had it. Every time I went to the office customer was in complaint or big augment with the people behind the counter. I pic this place on the fact it was rated at a 4.6. I give it a 3 star, only because it had nice clean room. Breakfast was typical food . The way they had it setup to get food was extremely bad. I felt like cattle going through a holding shoot. people running into each other and waiting for people clear the area and was about impossible. Shower was good, room was quiet and clean. One block from the beach and boardwalk. The bed was comfortable

It's really not worth the price when you pay for parking at $18 and a $25 "resort fee" but it's far from a resort. It's like 5 blocks of different motels owned by the same company. They switched out room when we got there to a free "upgrade apartment" however it was 2 double beds whenever the room I reserved was a queen bed room. So it was super uncomfortable. I didn't have any roach problems like I saw in other reviews. But the rooms are dated & felt like a cheap apartment for sure. The water pressure and shower head were awful. We were luckily only staying one night and I was trying to feel the down south vibe by staying somewhere different but honestly for what we paid I could've just stayed at the nice Marriott down the road and not had the problems. I wouldn't stay again

Finding how to check in???

On Google it says Free Parking which is not true. Check in is very slow.

They lost my reservation, booked me in a second story room with no elevator, nice room but tv didn’t work, coffee maker with no coffee, available at the store expensive. Beds were nice

Very clean and very close to the beach

The room were in was clean, comfy and just what we needed.

Have stayed here many times in the past and this visit was noticeably different, in a bad way. Still in a great location, but instead of the charm and friendliness of the Italian family who previously owned the property, now you get to deal with the indifference and even arrogance of a large corporate owner. Customer service was poor at best. Room 2011 was clean and cool, but had issues. The shower lacked anywhere to place shampoo or soap except the floor. Towels were poor quality and in short supply. Kitchenette was bare, Floor needed work. Room 2112 had the same issues plus the bathroom fan was out resulting in a mildewed ceiling and the mattress rivaled the tacos was had for lunch on the boardwalk. Will be looking for a new place to stay next time.

When we come to Hollywood beach that’s where we stay every time we come to Florida. It’s clean and staff is friendly.

The room was a little dirty, it smelled moldy, the bathroom sink was coming off the wall, and the bed was really hard.

I’ll break down the review into segments: Check in/customer service: Prepare to wait 30-60 min in line when checking in, or if you have a question, or something is wrong with your room. There is one office that serves this hotel along with the 4 other Hollywood Beach Hotels. There are 2 people working to check in people from 5 hotels, and spend about 15 minutes on each person checking them in. Room: DIRTY!! Bugs!! I had to ask my room to be switched because I found a bug on my mattress. While my second room’s mattress was clean-ish, there were drain flies in my room, and in the morning I was greeted by a cockroach on my door. My HVAC wasn’t working in my room, so I had to spend even more time waiting for someone to come fix it. Safety: As a woman traveling solo, I take notice when things feel unsafe. The doors of this hotel open to a courtyard where “breakfast” takes place in the morning (more on that later). There is a gate to this courtyard that is open all the time, so literally anybody walking by this hotel can come in and hang out in the courtyard right next to our doors. These doors don’t even close or seal completely, you can see daylight through the sides of the door. (Probably how that cockroach got in.) Breakfast: OMG. The trash stays out all day- the breakfast trash is currently strewn around the courtyard. This breakfast was so disgusting, plastic bowl full of nasty hard boiled eggs.

Absolutely great location. 45 second walk from the beach. Room was kind of small but not bad at all. Everything was clean. Would stay here again definitely!

Long story short; rude and AC didn't work. but according to them, there's a physical AC in the room so I cant say the room doesn't have AC.

Walls are paper thin! Place was hard to locate. Have to pay to park.

I stayed a room on first floor, facing on havy trafic roads Every time truck pass by bad shaking, no sound proof trouble going to sleep. Tiny breakfast area sharing with the others hotel guest limitited sitting area. One receptionist take care all the hotels guest i guest more than 10 hotels. Room cleaning every 3 days just changing towels and sheets not cleaning.

The room we were in was very spacious and clean. Staff was nice, not all speak English which required them to reach out to someone via phone or in person to translate. I was not happy about that. Breakfast was served every morning with the same options. No real hot options. Parking is a daily fee of $18 and it was no way around that. Close to the beach and if you're staying for an extended period there's only one push cart to assist you with your luggage for the entire property that stretches over 3 blocks. The office is not easy to find and requires a lot of searching and asking questions but our overall experience was good. The staff was more than willing to help.

Booked a stay for a short get away to the beach. Best part was the proximity to the beach. Staff was friendly. No problems with parking. Found parking right outfront. However, our room had a portable AC unit that was very loud, I guess wall unit was not working. There was no hot water and when i called the front desk no answer.

The area was super beautiful so we loved having the beach so close yet not the noise of the board walk. We loved having breakfast on the property and parking was super easy as well. Although our room was a small one bedroom, we did not mind as we were walking at the beach exploring the sights. For a couple who wants to explore the area and is not concerned about a big room, this is perfect! We enjoyed our stay in Hollywood Beach.

NO CABLE TV, it’s not owned by a family anymore rather a group that owns about 20 properties in Hollywood. Room was “remodeled” worst job I’ve ever seen!! Avoid Hollywood Hotel Group!

Be prepared for a loooooong wait for check-in, which according to staff, could NOT happen until after 4 pm. One counter, 3 people, managing check-in for 23 hotels/motels. It took over an hour. Casa Pelligrino was cute and newly decorated/renovated.

Staff at the front desk was very rude not to just me but to everyone. Arrived 15 minutes early of check-in. Got denied even though others we're getting room keys. The room was clean and the exterior had a nice Mediterranean feel 👍.

It was amazing I spent my birthday here and was upgraded with thanks to Wilson for being so awesome and customer service oriented everyone is amazing the location is perfect the beach the activities & restaurants nearby

Horrible super lengthy check in

The black woman at the front desk was extremely rude.

Having someone else walk in on you at 1:10 AM in the middle of the night, having received an electronic key from the office to someone else’s room, and when they realized I’m not letting them in because that was the room that I received, they got the guard, and tried two more times to come into the room until I had to call the police. That is outrageous!

Staff were super friendly and very helpful.

Great Stay Goregous beach & Top customer service by Wilson who was amazing as usual took care of my concerns and made my stay the best fun - I recommend staying here for both vacation and conferences etc

**Buyer Beware** I got in at midnight the key didn't work three times remember you check in somewhere different and then have to walk down the street two blocks with your luggage. I discovered after I caught my flight at 5:00 a.m. the desk clerk did not hand me back my driver's license so when I got to my destination I was unable to rent a car. I called and they said they in fact had it and they said they'd hold it in the front drawer for me. I caught a special plane flight to Fort Lauderdale to pick it up and I just left there and they said they sent all the IDS to the post office to get mailed back which makes no sense since they said they would hold it for me and I'll be there today. I will end up going to my hometown and getting another driver's license. The rooms are noisy did not get to sleep at all due to parties in adjacent rooms. The staff doesn't care if you're happy or not as they bark orders at you.

Definitely not a “boutique hotel” at all. The Main lobby is a tiny place that was crowded with strange people at all times. I tried avoiding it when I had a question so i called and the phone just rang for a good 10 minutes. Had to walk over there at 1 am with my son only to find drunk customers and people smoking weed. Not to mention the location is very shady at night. There’s no deadbolt on the door and when i asked about it, they said none of the rooms have it because they need to have access to all rooms. The room was very outdated and the bathroom was very dingy. “Continental” breakfast is served in the courtyard where guests from all 25 of their properties go and eat. This courtyard happened to be right outside of the doors to all of the rooms so there’s definitely no sleeping in. Two mornings we were woken up by people eating breakfast right near our window and another morning we were woken up by the terrible sounds of someone puking their brains out. room was definitely not soundproof whatsoever. Also, one night there were people outside of our room drinking and listening to music until 2am. Continental breakfast consisted of bagels, toast, old looking cereal, a bunch of red apples and hard boiled eggs floating in cloudy water. The room where the food was, was tiny and overcrowded. Overall, it wasn’t at all what we expected and the photos look way better than it actually Is. I would definitely recommend staying in an actual well known hotel like the Marriot, etc.

Very confusing property. It is 20-30 hotels all use one check in. We got put in a different hotel. Was less expensive, but would not refund the difference. Over 40 minutes to check in. The breakfast is a joke.

Very basic place close to the Broadwalk. The breakfast serving area is tiny and crowded. The lady working in there was helpful. The office where you check in is a block away and serves multiple locations. We really struggled with the remote for the a/c unit. Probably spent half an hour trying to get it to do what we needed it to do, temperature-wise and fan-wise.

I called he night before to see if they allow early check in; and I was told yes. When I arrived I was told I had to wait until 4pm (5 hours) yet I saw several people check in early after I asked. They didn't even ask me for my name or which building I was checking into. My toilet seat kept falling off and the toilet kept backing up. we had to use the plunger several times. The refrigerator didn't get cold enough. They do not provide any ice. it had to be purchased. The items sold at their store were dollar tree items sold at 6 times the price. The free breakfast was terrible and was the same every day.Bread, cereal, hard boiled eggs and little debbie snacks. they offered community style buckets of cream cheese and peanut butter that everyone had their fingers in. The coffee cups had holes in them and would leak. People would also come off the street to get breakfast and beg for money. The office bathroom is dirty and the bathroom door can use a painting. its black with dirt. Casa Pellegrino is a nice building minus the issues I had with the toilet and fridge I would stay there again.
