Very clean and comfortable. We did not have a garbage can in our room? We just set all our trash on the kitchen counter. Also there was an empty vending machine in the lobby. So we couldn’t even get a water before bed unless we did an Uber Eats or walked 1/2 mile.

Mediocre hotel on the border of a sketchy area. I selected this property because of the 8+ rating from prior guests. Not sure how. It’s a Rodeway Inn after all. I should not have been surprised. The young lady at the front desk was nice. The beds were nicely made and the bathroom towels were clean. Beyond that, I cannot imagine how it has a rating above 6. No elevator. Half of the doors to the complex are not functional from the parking area. Parking is awkward. Floors in the room are slippery as if washed with old/pre-used cleaning products. Rooms are very tight. I don’t know. I suppose that is what $225 gets you nowadays.

The gates to enter the property did not work. My key would not open gates which caused me to have to walk around the buikding and have my keys reset. I have a handicap placard which the worker with no placard took the first spot everyday. There was a pool party with blasting music so loud it was heard inside the room.

I picked this venue based on other reviews and was not disappointed. My room was nicely remodelled and very clean and comfortable. There is a lovely pool area and it too was very clean and well kept. The only negative was the lobby did not open till 730 meaning a long wait for my morning coffee.

This is a gated property which enhances the safety. Parking is strange but we figured it out. It is a few miles from the Hollywood Boardwalk. The seal wouldn’t seal on the bathtub so we weren’t able to soak in the bathtub. The pool area looked nice but we didn’t use it. Air conditioning worked well. We enjoyed this property and would stay again.

The hotel has made every effort to update as best it can. But bottom line is, it is still an average hotel. The room was clean but small. For the price paid, it was a disappointment. This was a $100 room, not $180. Parking was terrible and difficult to get into

Check in was pleasant and professional. The entrance and parking is very tight and challenging. There was no ice available on the property, and no real concern by the staff about it.The room was clean and well appointed with all the needs for an extended stay. Hard beds. Overall facility was very nice, taken care of and clean, outside of grounds a bit sketchy feeling though.

There are lots of parking spots but they are located down a narrow alley or just off the street. Again a very narrow area accessable from each end but often blocked by poorly parked vehicles.

The hotel had little to no signage, and it was difficult to find the parking lot. Upon check in, we were charged an extra fee despite paying online. That would’ve been fine- had we known there would be an additional fee. Then, we’re walking our child to our room and there’s a couple arguing, smoking, and drinking right in front of the doors to the room (rather than moving away from the doors a bit). Then we get into our room and there are hairs on our sheets, brown smudges on the walls, the mattresses were uncomfortable, and we were counting down the minutes to check out in the morning. With the additional fee, we could’ve stayed at a significantly nicer hotel than this rundown motel with makeup on for the same price.

The staff were lovely. They were kind and tried to help but they just. Didn't have the tools or equipment. There were no cooking implements or cutlery in the room. The lock on the door had been ripped out and replaced multiple times. There was a sticky substance on the bathroom floor. Security doors didn't work. The whole place was dingy and beat up.

Mold is visible on the ceiling, very musty smell inside. Linens had dirty stains on it. There was a party happening outside in the pool area with alcohol bottles everywhere. Our family did not feel safe, as alcohol consumption happened late in the night and party noises were over the top.

Everything was excellent! Safe, clean, bright, well kept, great value!

The service was terrible. We asked for 2 additional towels because we stayed 2 nights and that was refused. Roaches in the room and the floors were filthy. No maid service while we were there.

Clean! Nice pool area, really convenient location. 10 minutes to beaches, airport, casino. Just a short walk to restaurants. Not super fancy but clean and reasonably priced for the area.

This place was a big dissapointment. Our room appeared clean, but the floors were so dirty that we couldn't walk around our room without shoes on. There was so much dirt on my feet I had to take a shower. Made me wonder if the sheets were changed. Just felt gross to be there but it was an emergency situation. This place is not worth the price!

I had a 2 night stay, the first night was great but Saturday night brought loud music from the club nearby that rattled the windows until midnight. I was also upset that there was a $100 deposit for the key that wont be returned for 5 to 10 business days.

Smoking rules are overlooked; use of pot is around the pool area is overlooked while kids are swimming around. The hotel is well run - clean, comfy beds, and all necessities available (blow dryer, iron, safe).

Very good stay. The facilities were very clean, the rooms were spacious and the customer service was great. The only suggestion is the beds, they were not very comfortable.

Very friendly and helpful staff.Our room had been recently renovated, with new flooring, paint, renovated bathroom. Air conditioning was quiet and worked well. Our room was very clean and quiet. The central courtyard and pool area is quite beautiful. Numerous restaurants just a 5 to 10 minute walk away. My only complaint is that the mattress seemed very soft, and sagged in the middle.

The internet Wi-Fi connection was second to none ! Fast & efficient. Really impressed.

Excellent staff on duty during check in, clean exterior and interior, up to date rooms great stay! Parking was a tad confusing initially and the only minus...the pillows were not comfortable. Everything else A

The staff was very accommodating and nice. The property was well kept. The room's ac was making loud noises and they had the maintenance man try and fix it without us even asking and when they determined they could not fix it right away they transferred us to a different room. We originally only booked a few nights but ended up extending our stay 3 more nights due to their hospitality, quality of room, and the pool. We would defiantly stay again.

No breakfast offered. Access street closed for construction. Some gates didn’t open with key card. Rooms good and clean. Nice pool. Lobby closed at 11 PM and didn’t open in morning until an hour later than posted. Front desk staff a little less than cordial.

Nice rooms, but way too restrictive with their checkin. A national chain motel should have a 24 hr front desk without exception. Stopping checkin at 9pm is simply ludicrous and unacceptable. I never would’ve stayed here if I knew that was their policy. I even called in advance and said I would be there just before 11pm and they said that would be fine. When I arrived, the lobby was locked and dark. Had to call the manager’s cell # and wait for 30 minutes to arrive. Maybe that’s ok on a 3rd world country, but not in a tourist destination like Florida.

Very clean hotel. The staff were very friendly but we kept having issues with our key to the hotel unfortunately was never resolved. Other than that we would love to come back in the future.

The staff was friendly and professional. We had a small problem with the T.V. Angela (the manager) took care of the issue. Even checking back later to make sure it was working. She went above and beyond with her service. I was glad to see the high level of service that is missing so much these days. I went to Dunkin donuts and brought the staff back a bunch! We stayed for four days and then went on a cruise. Came back and stayed another days. Nice, clean friendly and would definitely recommend a stay here!

The building was old and run down, the neighborhood where you park is scary. We brought all of our luggage in to the room because we didn’t think it would be safe overnight in the car. We just hoped that our car was still there in the morning

My sister and I spent 4 nights at Downtown Hollywood Inn and Suites. We choose this motel because it was close to Memorial Regional Hospital. Little did we know it was located close to shopping, Hollywood Beach and the airport. We were very pleased with the accommodations. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and the pool and surrounding area was beautiful. We were totally satisfied with our stay.

The staff was helpful and friendly. It was a bit scary being outside of the fence once dark though with many homeless walking around. Someone staying there also had the police called on them and had several cops there. Many of the areas smelled of marijuana even though the whole building was supposed to be non smoking.

The location is very unsafe, the facility is not clean as suppoosed to be. Terrible!

One of our favorite go to places when we are in the area. Walking distance to Publix and downtown Hollywood. Ther strip will multiple restaurants and places to grab an adult beverage. Just a short drive to the best beach in Florida . Staff is always friendly and courteous. The pool is is great area to relax and forgot life for awhile . It's a great place for those of us on a budget.

The appearance of the property was nice but there were scary people around the inn, in the parking lot, in the pool area, and then on the 2nd floor it appeared maybe some homeless people were staying there as well. They were dragging garbage bags of stuff to their room. We had 2 rooms both smelled heavily of cigarette smoke.

Priced great place to stay before cruise next day. Older place but recently renovated, so all newer fixtures in rooms. Nearby publix grocery store and walgreens. Easy access from FLL, TAXIS and uber. Has a pool and am coffee. Id stay again.

Simple but clean, with service slightly below standard (no coffee during “coffee hours”, front desk not always open during “opening hours”).

This was a good value for what I paid . The property is clean / well kept . You always see staff going around cleaning . Front desk staff was courteous and helpful . Check in and check out was super smooth . They held my bags for me at check out since my flight was in the evening so that was nice . They have some complimentary fresh brewed coffee in the morning daily in the little lobby area . Rooms are on the smaller side but decent for me as I traveled alone . Beds were fairly comfortable but not big . Location is convenient although not as close to the beach as I initially thought (not walking distance) . There’s access to public transportation , and a Publix supermarket walking distance which was definitely a life saver . The area however didn’t feel the safest especially in the evenings / night and also as a solo traveler. Some folks walking around asking for money / spare change , but it’s possible that this is typical of the area … not sure since I’ve never been to this area of FL before . Essentially if you’re on a budget and you want some basic but clean and smooth accommodations in the area , this is a good value . If you want to be closer to the beach , and / or plan to walk around in the evenings or etc. then I would say stay elsewhere if you can afford to . Nothing negative to say about the place itself , just know it’s budget friendly and if you are very particular or picky and need a lot of extras or luxurious things , it’s not the place for you .

Had a wonderful stay! Was so close to everything, and pool area was beautiful. Could get on the public transit or get a quick cab ride to the beach and broadwalk. Walking distance to restaurants and the grocery store. Beautiful park also a walk away. Thanks!

If you looking for a motel room with a clean comfortable bed, this is the place for you. If you need additional amenities, you won’t find them here. They offer morning coffee which isn’t very good. No breakfast. There is vending machine with snacks and soda (no diet soda). Just the basics at a reasonable price
