On a short transit from Englewood to Jacksonville we booked a room at the Hacienda. Beautiful storied building with such a friendly staff! Had cocktails and dinner followed by a great night's sleep on a very comfortable bed. Dining room staff attentive and very accomodating. Breakfast the following morning, cooked to order, was fantastic start to the day. Great coffee too. An overall great experience for a short layover.

Nice hotel! Bathroom and shower were very small, but very clean. Cold A/C, elevator wasn’t working, so had to walk up and down stairs, but all in all I enjoyed my stay. The hotel rear entrance exits to a park with plenty of sidewalks for walking about.

Loved our room overlooking the park. It was immaculate and very quiet. Shower was nice. Only complaint was the parking lot in front of the hotel isn’t monitored by the staff. We were just pulling into the last space when someone beat us to it. She exited her vehicle and walked in the opposite direction of the hotel.

Parking is awful. Entire restaurant unavailable all day Saturday due to a wedding in the lobby. Should have been arranged for hotel guests, for some access. Restaurant staff for breakfast needs some professionalism. Not attentive. Need in room coffee, cant keep up in bar, staff using coffee also.

The hotel is adorable. The bad part was we were on the 3rd floor and the elevator was broken. That was several trips up and down the stairs with our luggage. We didnt take advantage of the meals so cant comment on those

this was our second trip to the Hacienda. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the staff. Shout out to Nicole, Mai-Li , Heather and of course Oscar ! we will definitely go back. My only disappointment was on our last night, there was a wedding and due to weather the reception had to me moved to indoors, which took the whole lobby, restaurant and bar area. The hotel guest did not have access to the bar and Sunday brunch. Luckily there are lots of other bars and restaurants within walking distance which we took advantage of.

Hacienda was clean and in a good location. Parking at peak hours was more difficult because there was limited parking onsite - that said, there was a larger lot across the street that guests could park at. The rooms were clean, but we would have appreciated having free water onsite instead of having to bring our own. We would stay again if we were in town.

The Hacienda was recently renovated, and let me just say the renovations are legit. I\'ve stayed at many historic hotels across the US and Europe, and in most cases, when they say "renovated" they mean they installed TVs and slapped a coat of paint on everything. This place is beautiful, furnished well, and impeccably clean. There\'s a nice restaurant on-site with a full bar, in addition to several terraces/porches with comfortable seating to get away from the crowds. Every staff person was kind and personable, and the careful modernization choices bring this historical place firmly into the Now without losing its vintage charm. Highly recommend.

Rooms are small. No desk. Chairs are old and uncomfortable. No place to put toiletries in bathroom. Shower way too small ( I’m 6’2” and 215 lbs)… could hardly move. Facility was nice and clean and food was excellent.

Such a nice atmosphere and welcoming staff. Bar and fireplace were excellent places to relax. It was fairly empty, which is ideal. A matter of time before this place is overrun with tourists. However, the downside, the walls are paper thin and you can hear the conversations from the room next door. The a/c units turn off and make obnoxious ticking noises when trying to sleep. Best to go on "off weekend or off season". Overall would recommend for a weekend trip.

Horrible experience, paid $160 only to be treated like a homeless person/ thief. Was questioned multiple times despite showing receipt with the payment and even my charge from my bank. Would never recommend, terrible service.

The staff was wonderful. Oscar gave us a warm greeting upon arrival and the check team was great!!! It felt like we were home. Charlie and Sam in the bar/restaurant went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The rooms were clean, cool and comfortable. We will be back again!!

Check in took over a hour. Problems with hotel talking with Expedia, through which we made our reservation. We were supposed to be in a large room with 2 queens on the 3rd floor. They moved us to a very small room on the 1st floor. No in room coffee, microwave, fridge. Room right next to east entry door was very noisy in the AM. Property was VERY nice. Park and river walk such a treat. Just about all employees were very nice and competent.

This is a beautiful historic hotel in NPR, the restoration was done very well. The staff were great, especially Oscar - he's a riot and very knowledgeable about the property and area. We would definitely stay here again!

This is the first negative review that I have ever written. From the start of the stay until our morning meal, it was disappointing and frustrating. The place itself is beautiful, room was adorable- perfectly clean, detailed in aesthetic beauty down to the trim on the ceiling. The problem began upon arrival. The was no place to park. Not one open spot. There was a festival in town and it seems as though without a parking pass, people attending the festival and not staying at the hotel took the spots. I attempted to call the hotel, to ask where I could park. I tried for over 30 minutes and no one answered the phone. We gave up, left the area to eat dinner, continued to attempt to reach the hotel with no answer. Upon returning, we parking behind another vehicle.

Really enjoyed our stay, albeit only one night. Beautiful historic building. The staff were outstanding. Everyone was very friendly and concerned that all was well! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at The Hacienda, located centrally and in a very pretty spot, it made the perfect base for our trip. The Downtown area is vibrant with lots of shops and restaurants meaning that you can park up and walk, although parking space at the hotel is limited, there is a large free public car park right opposite. The hotel itself has been modernized to a very high standard whilst still keeping its character and was exceptionally clean. My only small criticism is that the walls between the bedrooms do not really offer good sound protection, night one 1 was kept awake by the guest next door snoring and night 2 different guests were talking/arguing at 2.00 am which woke me up, its a shame that people tarnished an otherwise very enjoyable stay.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are all very nice! There is a beautiful park next to the property where you can walk and enjoy the Florida sunshine and watch the ducks swimming in the pond! You can walk down Main Street to find great restaurants, fun bars, a great antique shop and just a couple blocks away and up a flight of stairs is the best boutique ever! We will definitely stay here again!

Overall, I liked the hotel. It had good service and was kept in good condition. My room was at the front of the hotel. I was on the third floor and close to the street. People seemed to like racing dirt bikes and cruise around in golf carts with radios blaring. That's not the hotel's fault, but it still detracts from the peace and quiet of the place.

We had Christmas dinner at Sasha. We were not informed it was a fixed menu at the time of our reservation. We were excited about their normal menu. Having to have made some difficult choices, since they were out of prime rib for a 4:30 seating, I ordered the scallop, (3 small scallop sitting on top of a mound of pasta (not sure of pounds, think could feed 3 to 4 people). Extremely disappointing for $70. I made a complaint, but nothing was done to remedy it. So sad. Definitely a turnoff to going back there.

The Hacienda is a hidden gem! It is recently restored and immaculate. Parking was super easy and free.We ate breakfast and the restaurant was great. Connor was our waitor and he was fabulous. The building and grounds are beautiful. Can't wait to go back.

The hotel is so quaint. The rooms are small but clean. Everyone says the food was great. We had a terrible experience.,Waited an hour for dinner. Mine was barely warm, the salmon my husband said was tasteless and mushy. I tasted it, we are big salmon eaters and I told my husband there was something wrong with it. We told Heather the server. She said she told the chef and he said “it’s fresh I just opened the package”. No offer for something else or a free drink etc. plus it was my husbands Birthday , I order a cake and they forgot it.

Great boutique hotel w surrounding energetic town. Sasha’s was wonderful, dinner on the patio…steak w asparagus and these scrumptious fried potato chip/fries. Parks, shops and nature preserve within walking distance, all worth visiting.

The hotel itself was very nice, check in and out was great. We had breakfast and it was terrible. Pancakes were burnt, my poached eggs were not runny. Everything was cold. The waiter never came back to check on our meal or service. When we complained, the chef said next time he would make it right. If the waiter had come back we could have maybe gotten the meal redone but not even offering us compensation was a slap in the face. We would come back to the hotel if we are in the area but never the restaurant. And our coffee cups were dirty. He brought me a new one and it was also dirty, had to use styrofoam cup
