Safe parking and clean rooms!

Great place to stay in the Seattle area. The staff were very welcoming, the room was great for what we needed and the property had 24hr security and was gated. I felt safe leaving my vehicle there while i hopped on the public transportation a block up the street to explore the city.

The staff was extremely friendly. The location was convenient. The room was simple and clean. No-frills but great price. The parking lot is very well lit at night, the only unfortunate thing is that even though there’s blackout curtains, you can still see the light shining on the edges of the curtains. There is a security gate so the location is extremely secure. Would stay there again.

Clean room, really nice staff, secure property, surprisingly quiet for its proximity to a busy road. Yes, it is a budget motel so it’s not exactly big on amenities, but it’s a ~20 minute drive from downtown Seattle, so it was well worth it for needing a place to crash for a night after seeing a show. I guess the only actual issue we had was the WiFi didn’t work for us, but it really didn’t matter because cell service was fine in the area, and everything else was great, so I would say that was pretty minor. Just FYI, they do hold a $100 deposit on a credit card during your stay, so make sure to factor that into your budget if money is tight. They released the hold not even two hours after we left, though, so it all worked out.

We needed a one night stay to attend a Seahawks game. We also didn’t want to pay a small fortune. This was our first time staying here and it worked out well for us. The staff greeted us warmly and efficiently and our room was nice too. The extra safe and secure parking was very much appreciated as well. Water pressure in the shower was a nice treat too. Wifi worked really well throughout our stay and the coffee in our room was also good. We would stay here again without any hesitation.

This place has a gated lot, however they have portable a AC units, which vent through the window, so that anyone can come into your room at night. The window is unsecured. Single women beware

This stay was great! The check-in process was a breeze and took only a couple minutes. What I loved most about it was the security of the motel, the entire facility aside from the front lobby are inside of a secured electronic fence that closes automatically at 10pm and a code is required to get in or out. I felt extemely safe! It is Seattle after all, so the extra security is amazing! The room was SUPER clean, and had all of the necessary amenities. Plenty of towels, a microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge - with a REAL freezer, a wardrobe, and a window unit air conditioner that kept the room perfectly cool! The bed was also one of the softest motel/hotel mattresses I've ever used! The shower was huge and had a decently large rack to place my toiletry bottles so I didn't need to put them on the shower floor! The water pressure was also perfect and the water temperature was consistent unlike other establishments I've used in Seattle. There were plenty of food options, grocery stores, and shopping areas within a five-minute drive as well! For the price, this is one of my new favorite motels and I do plan on utilizing it in the future! I highly recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind being a little bit further away from downtown Seattle! It's a lot more relaxing!

Clean property that has been newly renovated. I didn’t hear any noise from other rooms or from the outside. AC worked great and the cold/hot water feature in the shower. The front desk reception lady was very nice and thoroughly explained the rules.

The place is clean, quiet, and secured by fencing at night. There were no tissues provided, and you definitely get a budget vibe. The bolt lock could not be bolted from the outside, when leaving. So...a mixed bag. But definitely reasonably priced.

The good security on a busy street is comforting. The electric gate works well.

The room was remodeled and spotless. It felt very safe. The only thing was it was kind of chilly for me... but warmed up after the heater was going for a while. It could just be me though, as I'm from Texas and have been freezing here on this visit! Lol

Clean property inside and out, staff was nice!

The staff here was incredibly friendly; I had a great experience. Loved that it was a gated facility because this area is definitely not for the faint of heart. My one complaint about the room is the floors were filthy. My brand new socks turned black on the bottoms in 5 minutes so I wore my shoes the rest of the time I was in the room.

This motel is very clean and quiet! Awesome!

Truly an oasis - impeccably maintained. The staff were kind, the rooms were comfortable and super clean - not that off-putting, bleach smelling clean but a more authentic, scrubbed down kind of clean. Will most def stay again.

Room was nice and clean. Looked Re-done recently. Gated parking. Nice shower. Easy in and out of room. Staff very friendly and accomodating.

This place is a hidden gem in a not so great part of Seattle. That being said the property was gated well lit and felt very safe. Our room was spotless, updated, and the bed pretty comfortable. Staff were friendly and the room was quiet. There is plenty of dining options close which was nice. I would stay here again because of the price and the above mentioned qualities.

Floors and rugs were very dirty. If you walked without shoes your socks or feet were very dirty. Room/ air handler smelled of urine. They had placed an air freshener near the air handler without much result.

The front desk person was very friendly and helpful. Building is older, but very clean.

The bathroom and bed were very clean. Staff very nice. My only complaint is the coffee machine in the room was not clean. I would definitely stay there if I am ever in the area.

Staff were wonderful. Room was comfortable, newly renovated, bed soft. Parking lot separated from street by chain link fencing with automatic gate.

Overall, I had a really good stay! The room was clean, comfortable, and I felt safe—which is always a top priority when traveling. A few small things that could be improved: the bed skirt looked like it had been stepped on with a muddy shoe, and a few more or thicker pillows for added comfort would be great. The room was well-equipped with a microwave, mini fridge, TV with working channels, WiFi, space for clothes storage, and a closet—which made the stay even more convenient. A big shoutout to the front desk lady—she was super nice and kind, and even took the time to chit chat with me about the event we had just attended before checking in. That kind of friendliness really makes a difference. Also, if your room faces the neighboring property, you might get a little extra entertainment courtesy of the hookers next door 😂 Minor quirks aside, it was a solid and enjoyable stay. I’d definitely consider coming back in the future!

This hotel was fine for a quick overnight just to have a place to sleep. It was very clean, staff were very friendly. Biggest issue was lack of plugs - none in the bathroom, only one on one side of bed. I had to unplug an air freshener behind the tv to plug in my phone, and unplug the microwave to charge my smart watch. Also odd design, there’s a standalone closet that blocks half the entry way to the kitchenette - you have to shimmy by it to get by. The area is a bit skier by, but there is a coded security gate and it was quiet while we were there. Not sure I’d return but it was good for the price.

I liked the fact it is gated I felt my car was safe, clean rooms, quiet facilities..the bathroom smelt lovely ke me of and No AC in the room which I needed.

Everything about this stay went great, our only issue was that the water wouldnt turn hot, and we spent our entire time having to wash our hands in very cold water. Thankfully we didn't have to shower, but if we did it would have been awful.

Parking was secure. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Even though it is in a bit of dodgy area, we as 4 females travelling, all felt safe. The staff are also extremely approachable. The room was clean, and pretty quiet, with great blackout curtains, and comfortable beds. Would happily recommend this motel.

I liked the room size. It was perfect, and I liked all of the amenities, except for the fact that they did not have air-conditioning. But the staff was great about getting me a fan for the room and with the cool nights it was sufficient.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, though a bit cramped. Nice mini fridge and TV. Spacious bathroom, though it took a while to obtain hot water in the shower.

We stayed here after a concert downtown. The staff were very friendly even at 12am. I felt safe leaving my car in their parking lot because they gate the property at night. The room was clean and comfortable. When we checked out the staff were so kind in providing recommendations for us for the day. We took them up on their suggestion of “Lola’s” for breakfast and it was delicious! Will definitely stay again the next time we come to Seattle!

The front desk staff and owners were so friendly and helpful. I had asked for a quiet room, after traveling for 2 days to reach Seattle, and Joy set us up in the perfect room. We didn't hear a sound all night. The room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds. The hotel is a little distance out of downtown, but you save a lot of money for nice accommodations. Getting there was easy via the E line bus, and that also saved lots of money compared with Lyft/Uber.

I was charged $22 out of my deposit for a missing piece to a coffeemaker. I take detailed video and pictures of every room I stay in as I enter. In these the coffeemaker is shown in detail and it is in the same state that it was when I left. They stated I took the drip tray and after sending the video they said “I appreciate your assurance, but I trust my housekeepers account”. They literally said ya we don’t care we are keeping your money.

The staff was awesome they were friendly and in my opinion i think having friendly staff/owners always makes a stay feel more comfortable and welcoming!

We chose Best Motel because of the recent rave reviews and after our 1 night stay, we completely agree! The NICEST hotel staff I have ever encountered, everyone was friendly and determined to do anything to make our stay as great as possible The close proximity to the Northgate light rail was so nice. I really appreciated the gated security (the parking lot is secured and locked and can only be entered with a code after 10pm). On our drive back to the motel from our concert we saw quite a few ladies of the night and other characters so the security was added peace of mind. The room was nice and clean and SMELLED SO GOOD. I will 100% stay again!

The staff was rude to my wife because she was black which made it very difficult for the night. I would never return to this location.

The hostess was wonderful! She took care of my reservations, and made sure that I was comfortable and safe, as I as a female was traveling on my own. Awesome service, warm yet professional

We stayed here for a concert it was the perfect location… easy access to downtown with transit ..it’s quite safe being gated . Will definitely return for our next visit.we would referr our friends and it’s very reasonably priced.

Great spot not too far from Northgate Mall LRT station for easy access to downtown Seattle. Although the neighborhood has a reputation for being a bit sketchy, we found the accommodation to be safe and secure and loved the restaurants available nearby. Reasonable price and clean and comfortable. Pillows on the bed were okay so if you're driving in I recommend bringing a pillow from home.

I enjoyed my stay at the Best Motel. The staff were very professional and kind, the room was immaculate. The rooms are fully renovated, the parking area is secured at night with a big gate wich has a code for entry. I slept good, there was no unusual noise or sounds other than the light sound of cars passing by on Aurora. I would and am definitely going to stay here again. Its close to downtown, close to everything you need and would want to do in Seattle. Theres a 24 hr drive through Mexican restaurant like 7min away called Alibertos that serves really good food for really good prices if your feeling hungry anytime of the night. Thank you Best Motel for having me, I appreciate the safety and cleanliness the motel provided. Id say it was top notch for the area as other places seemed less clean, dangerous, and didnt have the gate that Best has for security at night time. 5 stars from me. Patrick

In a “not so good area” for those traveling from outside a large city like Seattle, but better than most. Hotel was very safe, secure, clean, comfortable and takes every precaution to keep the bad things out. Appears to be Christian operated. A 35 minute bus ride to downtown and waterfront. Bus stop within walking distance. As with any public transportation in Seattle…weird things can happen in the bus.

While the location is a little suspect, the hotel property is secure, super clean and the staff/family who runs it are friendly, considerate and courteous! The bed was very comfortable, we had the king size bed room. For the money spent, it was superb! Plus, it was near the NW Hospital which was critical for our Seattle visit.

I didn't like the area. The Motel did its best to secure the property. Heard a gun shot at 3:36 am. Drove down looking for a shopping center and saw numerous prostitutes walking the street. (Aroura/Hwy 99) Nice people at hotel. To bad its location is very bad.

Great stay at this motel a 30 minute bus ride into downtown Seattle. The staff were very helpful and the place has recently been refurbished and very clean.

I showed up a whole day early and they let me add another day to my stay and put me up that night. That was great. The area around the hotel is acknowledged to be not a great area, but the hotel has taken great pains to have security and livability as a priority, and it shows. I was working nearby and I needed to sleep. The room was perfect for what I needed it. The accommodations were simple, and low priced. It was a pleasure to stay there
