This had potential of being excellent. I booked it with the hot tub in mind. Yet the hot tub didn’t work even after someone making attempts to fix it. Initial check-in was a disaster too. We were locked out even after agreement and email confirmation of a late check-in. We made numerous calls to the owners but got hung up on through voicemails. It was only by chance that i guessed a combination for a key at a different property that we got shelter overnight. Then, when we in our property, the cooker broke down half way through cooking breakfast (food ruined). We got a portable replacement 45 minutes later. All in all, even after this, I would return here, as long as the fickle problems are sorted. As again this has potential of being excellent.

The cottage was really lovely. We had an amazing view, the inside of the cottage ist beautiful and the hot tub is an extra plus! The kitchen has everything you need for the stay. Would recommend and visit again.

Charming, cozy, and clean cabin with a relaxing deck and very kind host. It was amazing listening to the birds at 12:30am while soaking in the hot spring fed outdoor spa watching the colorful midnight sunset, priceless! This highlight was only topped by whale watching from the porch. The cabins are set back slightly from the fjord and the views are stunning! It's an easy 1 minute walk to the waters edge, and an easy drive to Dalvik too. So thankful we found these cabins; all surrounded by wildflowers, whales, nature, and beautiful Iceland.

Very quiet place. Beautiful cottage with a drying rack too. The hot pool was quite hot otherwise everything was okay. There were ducks in the sea near the cottages which added further beauty to the already lovely place.

Die Lage und die Aussicht sind einzigartig. Der Hot Tube war hervorragend. Besser hätte es nicht sein können. Unklar war für uns der Check in. Da niemand auf unsere Nachricht geantwortet hatte. Wir riefen einfach unter der Telefonnummer an die uns angezeigt wurde bei der Buchung. Ein sehr netter Herr hat uns alle Informationen gegeben. Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt.

This place was lovely, having a hot tub on your balcony was an amazing way to relax and unwind after a day of driving. The property is close to Akureyri if you want to have dinner there or find grocery options. The check in process however was painful, with the website saying you need to contact (call) them two days prior. This is very annoying when you can’t contact them (i didn’t have calling with my eSIM plan). I spent two times with Expedia support attempting to contact the property to receive check in information. Expedia provided me with the information on behalf of the hotel. It should also be noted that no guests were in the other cabins as far as we could see (no cars) so it was not high season. Despite all of the work to check in - once we were there it was a great little place with beautiful views and facilities.

A very nice place - fantastic hot pot - beautiful surrounding. Recommand to change the broken light bulbs and check the freezer. Very good grill.

We loved the space of the cabin for 4 people, and we especially love the hot tub available on the deck!! Areas that NEED improvement: The communication was terrible. I texted a note before we came and received no response. Then once our trip came, no one was there to check us in. So we didn't know where to go, what the code was to get in, etc. I had to purchase cell service for the day to call and find this information out. Then once we got into the cabin, we realized that we didn't have bedding for 4 people. Did someone come to help? Nope... My husband was told to rummage in the farmhouse basement and find extra bedding, then we had to make the upper bunk bed ourselves. The hot tub also wasn't warm, so we had to call again to find out how to heat it. We would have appreciated a bit more information in the room or instructions on arrival and/or how to operate the hot tub, etc.

Lovely location by the fjord. Lovely views, quiet and peaceful. Cosy cottage with great amenities, including the hot tub. We were very lucky to see the northern lights too on our last night from here.

We stayed in one of the small cabins, they all have hot tubs! That is an amazing feature. The cabin is older but well build. Some of the use over the years is showing but it is a decent cabin. Some more attention could be put to for example labeling the numbers on the electric stove so that you can see how high you turn it (the numbers are worn off and it takes some investigation to figure out), but once you have it on high it does cook fine. It is a bigger cabin than most newer cabins, actually had a decent living space, nice porch and don't forget the hot tub! Even little battery candles which you can use when you are sitting in that hot tub. Wifi worked perfectly as with all places in Iceland we've seen A very comfortable vacation place, incredible view right from your porch over the fjord.

Leider ist das Cottage in einem eher renovierungsbedürftigem Zustand. Ausblick, Lage und der Hottub auf dem Balkon, den man für sich privat hat, machen etwas davon wieder wett.

Love the cottage, especially the view and the the privacy. However the shower head clip was broken and some light can’t be turn on, I think it was due to previous tenant who broke that and didn’t inform the property management.

Beautiful location, comfortable rooms and beds. We enjoyed our stay and our only issue was shower which needs repairs/improvements. Overall a great stay and loved the area and cabin.

Wir waren im Basic House und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt...die Aussicht auf den Fjord war unglaublich, die Zimmer sauber. Das Haus war mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Wir haben ein paar Stühle auf der Terrasse vermisst. Für uns war es kein Problem, da wir mit dem Camper unterwegs waren und Campingstühle dabei hatten. Wir waren im Basic House und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt...die Aussicht auf den Fjord war unglaublich, die Zimmer sauber. Das Haus war mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Wir haben ein paar Stühle auf der Terrasse vermisst. Für uns war es kein Problem, da wir mit dem Camper unterwegs waren und Campingstühle dabei hatten. Ich bin mir aber sicher, wenn wir danach gefragt hätten, hätte es bestimmt eine Lösung gegeben. Auch der Hot Pot auf der Terrasse war fantastisch. Was will man mehr!

This had potential of being excellent. I booked it with the hot tub in mind. Yet the hot tub didn’t work even after someone making attempts to fix it. Initial check-in was a disaster too. We were locked out even after agreement and email confirmation of a late check-in. We made numerous calls to the owners but got hung up on through voicemails. It was only by chance that i guessed a combination for a key at a different property that we got shelter overnight. Then, when we in our property, the cooker broke down half way through cooking breakfast (food ruined). We got a portable replacement 45 minutes later. All in all, even after this, I would return here, as long as the fickle problems are sorted. As again this has potential of being excellent.

Charming, cozy, and clean cabin with a relaxing deck and very kind host. It was amazing listening to the birds at 12:30am while soaking in the hot spring fed outdoor spa watching the colorful midnight sunset, priceless! This highlight was only topped by whale watching from the porch. The cabins are set back slightly from the fjord and the views are stunning! It's an easy 1 minute walk to the waters edge, and an easy drive to Dalvik too. So thankful we found these cabins; all surrounded by wildflowers, whales, nature, and beautiful Iceland.

This place was lovely, having a hot tub on your balcony was an amazing way to relax and unwind after a day of driving. The property is close to Akureyri if you want to have dinner there or find grocery options. The check in process however was painful, with the website saying you need to contact (call) them two days prior. This is very annoying when you can’t contact them (i didn’t have calling with my eSIM plan). I spent two times with Expedia support attempting to contact the property to receive check in information. Expedia provided me with the information on behalf of the hotel. It should also be noted that no guests were in the other cabins as far as we could see (no cars) so it was not high season. Despite all of the work to check in - once we were there it was a great little place with beautiful views and facilities.

The stay was lovely despite the cold outside (-14). Had one issue and someone came quickly to help, thank you. Would be very grateful if the property could email entry details proactively on the morning of arrival instead of needing to chase each time without international calls. We loved the space of the cabin for 4 people, and we especially love the hot tub available on the deck!! Areas that NEED improvement: The communication was terrible. I texted a note before we came and received no response. Then once our trip came, no one was there to check us in. So we didn't know where to go, what the code was to get in, etc. I had to purchase cell service for the day to call and find this information out. Then once we got into the cabin, we realized that we didn't have bedding for 4 people. Did someone come to help? Nope... My husband was told to rummage in the farmhouse basement and find extra bedding, then we had to make the upper bunk bed ourselves. The hot tub also wasn't warm, so we had to call again to find out how to heat it. We would have appreciated a bit more information in the room or instructions on arrival and/or how to operate the hot tub, etc.

What an amazing cottage and place to stay. One of the best places I’ve stayed in, in Iceland. Highly recommended. Communication with host very easy. Hot bathtub was a pleasant surprise

The cottage was really lovely. We had an amazing view, the inside of the cottage ist beautiful and the hot tub is an extra plus! The kitchen has everything you need for the stay. Would recommend and visit again.

Very quiet place. Beautiful cottage with a drying rack too. The hot pool was quite hot otherwise everything was okay. There were ducks in the sea near the cottages which added further beauty to the already lovely place.

Wieder einmal hab ich Ytri Vík gebucht. Es ist einfach eine schöne Unterkunft mit Hot Pot auf der Veranda und super schönem Blick auf den Fjord. Akureyri ist nicht weit entfernt. Ich werde wiederkommen. ❤️

Overall the place was great with amazing views. We were very happy. Only disappointment was that the hot tub was not working. There was no heads up or communication from the hotel letting us know that it was not available. Our kids were excited about the hot tub but were sad to see it was not available for us .

Enjoyed my stay again in general, clean and comfortable. Host was helpful when I had a hot tub temperature issue. Two even better if's: I wish they would proactively send you the check in like others do, instead of making you contact in advance. The towel rail was making a big noise clanking on the wall which woke me up.
