Simply top notch. The place is a part of an old palace, the room was spacious but the real game changer was the staff. Friendly, efficient, polite and cooperative. Even the cleaning lady (Rozie) was so nice... Well done. Parking in the center of old European cities is always hell...

Beautiful hotel. Very walkable and in a beautiful historic building. Two flights of stairs to get to the floor the rooms are in but very manageable.

What a beautiful place Dimora del Cardinale was to stay! So warm and inviting! Sara, who checked us in, was very friendly. Fabulous to have tea, coffee and biscuits , as well as water to fill our bottles. In particular, Rosie and her husband did far more than take care of cleaning our room. They took the time to speak with us and really made us feel at home and we so patient in allowing me to practice my Italian. I was sad leaving Rosie- so amazing!! Her husband helped get us a taxi and made sure we got off to the station. We would definitely stay at this fabulous place again. In a wonderful neighborhood and close to everything!!!

I feel, this property is a hidden gem in Florence very close to all major tourist attractions. Very well maintained. The house lady was very attentive and ensured the rooms we were kept tidy and clean. Big thanks to her. 2 bathrooms, 2 working A/C, and a water cooler - can't ask more. Also, they have complimentary cookies, coffee, variety of Tea .... it was an excellent experience.

The staff was so friendly. They met us an hour early to let us into our room instead of having to store our luggage. It's a 15-minute walk from the train station, but once you're here, it's a great location. Very close to dining and shopping. There is a laundromat two minutes away, which was really convenient. The room was spacious and gorgeous. The apartment is also fabulous with a gorgeous salon and sitting area. We just loved it!

Unique place to stay, but super cute and affordable for just minutes away from the Duomo. The staff accommodated us checking in early if needed, helped with getting us parked in Parking Duomo garage when it seemed impossible, and also let us keep our luggage there after checkout so we could go eat breakfast after checkout and not carry them around. Things to note: Look for the 8 on the building or you’ll miss it. There is no large sign indicating the location. When you first arrive, you may need assistance getting in the door from the street. It’s an automatic lock that they need to unlock for you. Once inside, it doesn’t look like anything but steps - the rooms are on level one (not ground floor) and there is no check in desk that you usually see in hotels. Staff will come to your room and check you in and verify everything. Most communication was via text from hotel staff, but this worked out for us due to language barrier and the English (on text) was perfect. Would definitely stay here again!

The communication and kind staff were a highlight to this gorgeous renovated palace. We slept under a fresco painted ceiling which added to the Italian dream. The location is one of the best. Close to food, shopping, nightlife. The cleaning team were so kind and welcoming. They helped with anything we needed. The bonus was amazing air conditioning that you control. We visited in the height of heat in June and I’m not sure myself or my teens would have been happy without it. I would recommend this property for families (without strollers) and couples/friend trips. The room was up a flight of stairs without elevator so just be aware of that if an elevator is important to you. 10/10 stay abroad💕

Conveniently located, beautifully renovated five-room hotel on the first floor (walk-up, no elevator) of a centuries-old building. Huge room with charming furniture, high ceilings and large windows. Plenty of storage space, big bathroom. Friendly in-person welcome by greeter who completes check-in and provides keys. No staff present on site but contact through WhatsApp and email. Daily room cleaning. Shared tea/coffee station in hallway but no bar, breakfast, laundry or other services, although these are just steps away from the building. Some noise in evening from bars and restaurants but ended at midnight and quiet thereafter. Overall an excellent experience.

The staff was very friendly and always available. We got locked out as the main door was stuck however the staff came with a lock smith right away as soon as they could and it was solved fairly quickly. Rosie I believe was her name the nice lady who cleaned the rooms was so cheerful and friendly, it felt like we were guests at her house, so hospitable and welcoming.

We loved our stay at Dimora del Cardinale! It was very clean, big room with a comfy bed, big bathroom and even a pull out for our daughter to sleep on. Safe and in a great area. The staff was wonderful and we will definitely stay there again when we return to Florence to vacation!

We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend staying here- all of the the staff we interacted with was super friendly, super helpful and extremely welcoming. The facility was super clean and they go out of their way to try and think of everything you might need or want before you even arrive. Would highly recommend!

We had an incredible stay at Dimora del Cardinale! A beautiful historic hotel. Rooms were very clean and spacious with vintage furniture. Only complaint is that our safe did not work + the shower head needs to be replaced - we had a light drizzle as a shower. Despite that we felt very safe and the hosts were very responsive over WhatsApp. The cleaner Rosie comes everyday and is an absolute angel! The location is central to absolutely everything you need right on the Main Street with all the best leather shops and close to tons of restaurants. Excellent time in Florence!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and the room was perfect! It was very spacious compared to rooms we stayed in in Rome and Amalfi during the same trip, and the hotel is located in a convenient location not too far from the train and very close to the major sights. The staff was exceptionally friendly and hospitable. The hotel itself is very charming and it used to be a chapel or something similar because the walls in the lobby were painted beautifully. The AC and wifi worked very well, too. This was such a unique find and we would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Florence!

This was a beautiful room perfect for our family of 5! Clean, very tastefully decorated, and best of all it had 2 full bathrooms, which made our lives a lot easier! Enjoyed our stay thoroughly! Sara was extremely helpful!

Hotel Dimora del Cardinale was the most wonderful hotel we stayed at during our trip to Italy. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The staff was so incredibly kind and attentive. It was also in a great area and was walkable to everything! I would highly recommend this property to anyone who would like to come to Florence.

The staff was very friendly and always available. We got locked out as the main door was stuck however the staff came with a lock smith right away as soon as they could and it was solved fairly quickly. Rosie I believe was her name the nice lady who cleaned the rooms was so cheerful and friendly, it felt like we were guests at her house, so hospitable and welcoming.

The staff was so friendly. They met us an hour early to let us into our room instead of having to store our luggage. It's a 15-minute walk from the train station, but once you're here, it's a great location. Very close to dining and shopping. There is a laundromat two minutes away, which was really convenient. The room was spacious and gorgeous. The apartment is also fabulous with a gorgeous salon and sitting area. We just loved it!

We had an incredible stay at Dimora del Cardinale! A beautiful historic hotel. Rooms were very clean and spacious with vintage furniture. Only complaint is that our safe did not work + the shower head needs to be replaced - we had a light drizzle as a shower. Despite that we felt very safe and the hosts were very responsive over WhatsApp. The cleaner Rosie comes everyday and is an absolute angel! The location is central to absolutely everything you need right on the Main Street with all the best leather shops and close to tons of restaurants. Excellent time in Florence!

Unique place to stay, but super cute and affordable for just minutes away from the Duomo. The staff accommodated us checking in early if needed, helped with getting us parked in Parking Duomo garage when it seemed impossible, and also let us keep our luggage there after checkout so we could go eat breakfast after checkout and not carry them around. Things to note: Look for the 8 on the building or you’ll miss it. There is no large sign indicating the location. When you first arrive, you may need assistance getting in the door from the street. It’s an automatic lock that they need to unlock for you. Once inside, it doesn’t look like anything but steps - the rooms are on level one (not ground floor) and there is no check in desk that you usually see in hotels. The communication and kind staff were a highlight to this gorgeous renovated palace. We slept under a fresco painted ceiling which added to the Italian dream. The location is one of the best. Close to food, shopping, nightlife. The cleaning team were so kind and welcoming. They helped with anything we needed. The bonus was amazing air conditioning that you control. We visited in the height of heat in June and I’m not sure myself or my teens would have been happy without it. I would recommend this property for families (without strollers) and couples/friend trips. The room was up a flight of stairs without elevator so just be aware of that if an elevator is important to you. 10/10 stay abroad💕

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and the room was perfect! It was very spacious compared to rooms we stayed in in Rome and Amalfi during the same trip, and the hotel is located in a convenient location not too far from the train and very close to the major sights. The staff was exceptionally friendly and hospitable. The hotel itself is very charming and it used to be a chapel or something similar because the walls in the lobby were painted beautifully. The AC and wifi worked very well, too. This was such a unique find and we would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Florence!

The room was exactly what we expected, spacious, clean, high ceilings and very Italian. We really loved the stay. The only negative if this bothers you is noise at night in the room we stayed in next to the street. But to me it made it fun listening to the night life.

Excellent stay at the beautiful hotel in Florence. The property is on a renaissance street that is 700 years old. Feel like I am transported back to 14th century when the Florentine and horses roamed the streets. 7 mins walk to the Duomo and 20 mins to the Florence train station. Lots of restaurants and shopping in this vibrant and busy street. The property is pristine with wonderful staff. Highly recommend to friends and families visiting Florence!
