Parking!! In LA if you're looking for hotels near the airport you will find that most (if not all) list "parking available" which means they will charge for parking. Even though this Hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport, the covered free parking made it worth the drive. Service was friendly and we felt we got great value for the money.

Staff was very nice, their breakfast buffet was very nice with many delicious options and a full staff keeping everything running smoothly. Covered parking on a first come first served basis, check in was easy, since you need your key to access everything including the elevators and floor makes it even more of a secure feeling. Inside was very well maintained with a fresh clean look and smell throughout the building, our room was just as fresh with absolutely no smell if smoke or any other foul odors. Do not be fooled by the drive to the property, it may seem a bit rough but it is far from it, best part was no noise and being on the 2nd floor with their nice workout room across from us and the breakfast room a mere 20' away, it was still very quiet. This is s diamond in the rough since we stayed here while visiting Long Beach. Who ever is in charge of this motel deserves a kudos.

Surprisingly clean and tidy hotel. Rooms were in good order decently appointed. Beds comfortable. Water pressure could be stronger. Liked the 24 hour coffee and cappuccino machine in the lobby. The pool was a mini one but the small kids using it didn’t seem to care. Breakfast was included in our fare. It was okay. Sufficient enough to fuel me for the day. We used the gym and it was good enough for our boxers to use treadmill and to shadow box. If ever needed to be in the Gardena Compton area again I’d choose this hotel.

Spent 4 nights there in May 2024. First two nights in a queen room facing the road. The room had some traffic noise. Other nights in a king room facing the pool. The king room was much nicer and larger compared to the queen room. There was no traffic noise either. The hotel was only about 20 minutes from LAX so it was very convenient. Staff were great, friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a good range of items. Gym was small but adequate. It had a couple of bikes, a couple of cross trainers, weights and some other equipment. Car park was free and fairly large. Outdoor pool was small (didn't use it). There are a couple of fast food restaurants almost next to the hotel. Overall a great hotel for good value for money.

Great stay, but it didn't seem like this was the safest part of town for little children. Helpful staff and felt secure once we were inside. Keycard access for elevator helped us feel safe.

Hotel is just like any regular hotel, Free parking and free breakfast. I didn’t like the fact you don’t get your deposit back “if they find breakfast food in your room.” It must be eaten in the breakfast room. Cleanliness could better. Used my jacuzzi tub, but got out immediately as soon as I saw clunks of hair coming from the pump part of it. The bathroom walls and doors hadn’t been wiped down in god only knows how long. The biggest disappointment was the walls of the entire building, you can hear everything. It’s paper thin. The worst part about the entire stay was the lady across the hall and down one room screaming as if she making a porn video. We could hear it in our room and we weren’t even next to them! I can’t imagine what the people next to them had to deal with.

Staff were friendly, rooms were clean, however there was a moldy smell in the hallways and rooms. The beds were really comfortable but the pillows were very small and flat and not comfortable at all, I woke up with a sore neck everyday. Breakfast was decent, however they said no food can be taken to the room, but then why do they offer room service? Maybe it's just the breakfast food that cannot be taken to the rooms, not really sure. Overall though I would stay here again.

Dirty room, lots of smokers right outside my door, maid knocked I had to open door 9am with the do not disturb sign on door. Told staff about it and was just brushed off like it wasn’t even slightly a concern or an apology or anything just ok bye !

The room was exceptionally clean, the service was truly outstanding, and the breakfast each morning was quite enjoyable. While the hotel's location differed from my expectations, I encountered no issues, as the front desk kindly informed me of the security cameras throughout the premises. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is great, breakfast is excellent as far a hotel breakfasts go, and the rooms are spacious. The one thing was the pillows are hard. I read that ahead of time and brought my own pillow.

Booked the room for five people. The pull out sofa was uncomfortable, it was tilted that made it hard to sleep. Otherwise it was a clean room, daily housekeeping offered. Breakfast was okay, but not enough tables to sit. We had to wait for other people to finish their breakfast to find a table as food was not allowed to be taken beyond the cafeteria. Not sure if I would stay there again.

Room is spacious, clean, and functional. Staff are friendly and helpful, when the fridge was not working, they came to replace a new fridge within 10min. Water pressure seemed a little low as shower was running quite slow. Breakfast has good selection, though the quality could be improved. We had had bad eggs, and the juice machine was not working properly. Overall we had a nice stay, the hotel location is good, and we will come back again.

Good stay overall. Breakfast variety was great and tasted good and free self parking was a nice addition. We arrived late after an event so the garage was full, had to park in outdoor parking spaces. Only issues were with the bathroom experience. The water pressure for the shower as well as the sink were not good. And the soap bars offered are very soapy and hard to rinse off, so trying to rinse with that low water pressure is near impossible. The shower head is a “rain” style shower head which are horrible for good water pressure. I recommend having those changed for smaller regular higher pressure shower heads.

The room very spacious with a little living room area. It was clean as well. Our only issue was that the sound coming from the street. You could hear every car, ambulance and fire truck coming and going at all hours of the night. The breakfast is also good and they have the best waffle maker!

We picked this hotel because it’s “close” to SoFi. The hotel itself was great (minus the sofa bed…very small, flimsy and uncomfortable…we asked for a different room because of this, which they very gladly accommodated, but the other sofa bed was exactly the same). The hotel was clean, staff was super nice and helpful. The neighborhood it is in is a little rough around the edges which was a little concerning coming back late after the event at SoFi. Also something worth mentioning that even though it is only a few miles away from the stadium it took more like 15-20 mins to get there. After the event, SoFi spills everyone out going the opposite direction of the hotel which made it so we had to drive in a big circle due to road closures because of event traffic. It took more like 20-30 min to get to the hotel once we got through the parking traffic.

I had a king suite and it was a clean, and nice room. Alittle noisy because of the traffic, ambulance noise, and horns honking. I believe the windows need to be double paned so that it blocks out the noise. Otherwise, it was a good bargain and the staff were very nice and accomodating.

The front desk staff were cold and not approachable. I tried to reach the front desk to ask about the fan in the room via the phone in the room, but the phone did not work. I had to go to the front desk and ask. The receptionist answered my question in a very cold manner.

Staff was very nice, their breakfast buffet was very nice with many delicious options and a full staff keeping everything running smoothly. Covered parking on a first come first served basis, check in was easy, since you need your key to access everything including the elevators and floor makes it even more of a secure feeling. Inside was very well maintained with a fresh clean look and smell throughout the building, our room was just as fresh with absolutely no smell if smoke or any other foul odors. Do not be fooled by the drive to the property, it may seem a bit rough but it is far from it, best part was no noise and being on the 2nd floor with their nice workout room across from us and the breakfast room a mere 20' away, it was still very quiet. This is s diamond in the rough since we stayed here while visiting Long Beach. Who ever is in charge of this motel deserves a kudos.

Needing lodging for 10 days in an area I was unfamiliar with was challenging: Pay $110 and risk my life or $220 and go to the poorhouse! At $160, the Best Western - Gardena proved to be a Godsend! “Julissa” at Check-In assured me of a quiet, top floor room away from traffic noise when I was 4 hours away. The lobby was simply elegant. My room was so spacious and beautifully done, I videoed it for family sharing! Manager “Vic” congratulated me for pointing out a couple room loose ends - unprecedented in my experience! But the star of this wonderful property goes to Ludi Ramos! She runs their breakfast operation with the focus of a hawk; she oversees housekeeping and is beloved by her staff; and personally sees to it that any pending room adjustment is taken care of the same day! And a modest-sized indoor parking resource leaves me with the thought, “What a jewel of a hotel!” Thank you, Best Western, for so blessing travelers to the L.A. area!

Really nice! Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast with staff who cared about the buffer and kept it nice and clean. Easy to park the car. The hotel felt modern and very well kept. It was the second stay on our trip, we came back because we liked it so much. We will stay here again if we come back to the area.

This is a great hotel. The rooms are large, new and very clean and perfect. The owners and the staff genuinely care for the guest. The location is very good, easy parking, lots of shops and food nearby, close to the highway.

Large room with two king beds (I couldn't believe it until I saw it) and large bath. Very quiet. Immediate neighborhood is not impressive, but the hotel is only within 15 minutes of Manhattan beach.

I needed a place to stay in Los Angeles, and quick. (I usually stay in Hiltons for reference.) I must be honest, The area is very sketch, and I def. would not venture out after dark unless you are going out to eat, etc. somewhere up the road. There is a Target nearby, which is nice. Having said that, the property itself was very nice on the inside, having been upgraded in 2016 I was told. The staff was courteous and professional, and the lobby was really well done. The room was outstanding, with blackout curtains, and very nice fluffy towels in the well lit and spacious bathroom. Again, the area could be better but for the price and quality, this cannot be beat.

Great stay, but it didn't seem like this was the safest part of town for little children. Helpful staff and felt secure once we were inside. Keycard access for elevator helped us feel safe.

They had a weird strict rule about breakfast that they would charge you extra to eat in your room or take out from the dining room. I couldn't even get a seat for my two children and had to wait with them with food in my hands a while. Amenities are not the best when it comes to toiletry but the coffee and hot chocolate machine are great. Pool is really small

Booked the room for five people. The pull out sofa was uncomfortable, it was tilted that made it hard to sleep. Otherwise it was a clean room, daily housekeeping offered. Breakfast was okay, but not enough tables to sit. We had to wait for other people to finish their breakfast to find a table as food was not allowed to be taken beyond the cafeteria. Not sure if I would stay there again.

convenient located. With heavy traffic in the area, the location is easy to commute from/to the LAX airport. There are many fast food choices nearby. The entrance is open, but easy to miss if that is the first time you travel to the hotel. The garage parking area is often full but there are plenty parking inside of fenced open area. The breakfast was great, many hot fresh meals. The most impressive part is the cleanliness of breakfast area, well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. Room is spacious and clean, the beds are comfortable. There are venting machine at each floor. Strongly recommended.

Room is spacious, clean, and functional. Staff are friendly and helpful, when the fridge was not working, they came to replace a new fridge within 10min. Water pressure seemed a little low as shower was running quite slow. Breakfast has good selection, though the quality could be improved. We had had bad eggs, and the juice machine was not working properly. Overall we had a nice stay, the hotel location is good, and we will come back again.

This place was truly impressive. It’s really nice, specially for the area. Not sure if it was recently renovated but everything was in great condition. The interior architecture really gives off a great energy walking in. The breakfast options were top tier, but go early because everyone feels the same and it gets crowded.
