Great hotel. Easy to walk into town centre or for a football match at Vitoria SC. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very stylish lobby area. My son used the pool and gym and said it was very good.

Great location in the historic city center, a short walk to all the major sites and restaurants. Hotel has only a few free spots for parking, but there is pod parking across the street. Reasonable at 10€ for 24 hours. Hotel bed was comfortable and as usual, the room was on the small side. The highlight was the roof top swimming pool that was really spectacular. Challenge was seating as it did get quite crowded. Nice buffet breakfast with a good selection of both hot and cold items. They use Nespresso so you can make a great coffee! We would definitely stay there again when we go back to Guimaraes.

Pour avoir fréquenté un certain nombre d'hôtels 4 étoiles au Portugal celui là est décevant dans les détails. Le rapport qualité prix n'est pas à la hauteur. On paye la piscine sur le toit ça c'est sûr. Mais même si elle est spacieuse, grande et permet de se rafraîchir et aux enfants de s'amuser, il y a beaucoup de monde sur un espace restreint et ce n'est pas un réel moment de détente. Par contre, la chambre est propre, la salle de bain agréable et la literie très bonne. Je suis déçue des détails et certains sont gros. Nous avons réservé une suite pour 4 et surprise, à part le lit et le canapé lit, il n'y avait qu'un seul fauteuil à côté de la table pour s'asseoir. Chaque personne bénéficiait d'un jeu de serviettes, une petite et une grande mais 3 jeux et pas quatre. Brosse à dents à disposition, très bien mais 2 au lieu de 4. Bouilloire, cafetière avec thé, café très bien mais prise défectueuse... Le parking disponible n'est pas celui de l'hôtel. Il y en a un à proximité qui est payant ou en marchant avec les bagages on peut trouver gratuit mais sans surveillance ni sécurité. Sur le global, c'est assez bien mais pour tous les détails, ça ne vaut le prix demandé. Dommage !

O hotel é bonito e as áreas públicas são agradáveis e acolhedoras. Já a área de spa é um caos, funcionários perdidos, acessos, controle de toalhas, agendamento de massagens, etc, tudo bem estressante, uma multidão a utilizar, barulho, saunas pequenas (cabem apenas 2 pessoas em cada), é para sair correndo... Café da manhã bom, com variedade e qualidade. Boa localização, dá para fazer tudo a pé. Não há estacionamento, mas tem opções próximas, ou mesmo na rua.

Hôtel bien situé proche du centre historique à pieds. Pas parking à l hôtel, difficile de se garer dans la rue à proximité. Il y a un parking privé payant (10€/j) juste à côté de l hôtel et facile d accès. Piscine intérieure avec SPA et piscine extérieure mais eau fraîche pour début octobre. Bon accueil à l hôtel et chambre propre.

The property was beautiful and very well done from a design standpoint. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the free breakfast was great. 24 hour gym, nice indoor pool. The location is also good - very historic, quaint, and walkable to several dining and cafe options. Only negatives were that our refrigerator didnt work and the parking was very limited.

The hotel was probably one of the best when opened. Now it has gone some years and the rooms have started to wear down. Golden pleating on things as bathrooms buttons etc have worn off making it look not so nice. Above my headboard there were lots of handprints, high all over the wall. This made me quite uncomfortable. I know a lot of people use hotels for various activities, but I don’t like to be shown so graphically what has been going on. Either the hotel needs better cleaning or a remodel because the freshness of it has worn off. If remodeled, please stop with the separate hot and cold faucets. They never kept the temperature and it was a constant waiting and juggling for water to not be burning hot or cold. Said that I did feel very welcomed and relax upon arrival. The hotel itself is beautiful with a lot of attention to detail(initially). One other thing that bugged me was the big mat in the common area that was crooked and no one seemed to notice. A little thing, that brought down the impression. Breakfast, I preordered vegan breakfast, even double checked with staff the day before it was all sorted. Come morning, and there is no vegan breakfast. Kitchen has not been informed. Had dry bread with only jam(there was milk in the butter)as my only option for spread. They did sauté some vegetables for me, but I would have preferred a standard breakfast. Breakfast staff didn’t speak English and communicated with everyone in Portuguese regardless of nationality.

Hotel bem localizado, porém em uma rua estreita e não possuem estacionamento, foi dificil conseguir vaga para estacionar na região. Atendimento muito bom, equipe prestativa e simpática café da manha dentro do padrão. Quarto limpo porém escuro, cortina toda furada com aspecto de velha, longe de um padrão 4 estrelas. Em geral,um preço bastante elevado para o que oferecem.
Hotel bem localizado, porém em uma rua estreita e não possuem estacionamento, foi dificil conseguir vaga para estacionar na região. Atendimento muito bom, equipe prestativa e simpática café da manha dentro do padrão. Quarto limpo porém escuro, cortina toda furada com aspecto de velha, longe de um padrão 4 estrelas. Em geral,um preço bastante elevado para o que oferecem.

A notre arrivé un accueil un peut brouillon sur la communication, peut être du fait de la fatigue.... Puis arrive à la chambre surprise terrasse privatif déchets sur la petite table, la vitre de douche coincé impossible de la fermer ou ouvrir donc peur de la casser bilan la douche prise de l'eau partout donc serviette blanche par terre à chaque fois.... Donc je reviens à l accueil pour avertir de tt cela, ont me dit que c'est pris en compte et qu'il fessait le possible, bilan tt le séjour sans rien faire, averti une 2 ème fois.. Tjrs rien.. J'ai laisser tomber...la chambre disponible des le matin vers 8h tout les jours, revenu vers 14h après manger pour une douche ou sieste toujours pas faite.......faudrait attendre jusqu'à 17h30 voir un peut plus pour cela.... Et juste le lit de fait.... Les déchets de dehors sur la table des précédent client tjrs la...... A croire qu'il était presser !!!!!! Pourtant a 4 personnes à chaque fois !!!! Le soir vers 23h30 concert de piano super !!!!!!! Notre chambre était au RDC..... Enfin et j'en passe.... Je suis très mécontent de cette établissement vue c'est ses marque de prestations..... Je le recommande pas.

Passamos duas noites em um quarto em que o ar condicionado só fazia ventilação sem esfriar. Tinha mofo no teto na entrada do quarto. O ‘técnico ‘ nos disse que era assim mesmo e que estava funcionando sim (???) Como na terceira a noite o cheiro de mofo estava insuportável decidiram nos dar um quarto decente e com ar funcionando plenamente. Só não fomos embora na primeira noite porque já estava pago. É de uma falta de bom senso primeiro subestimar a inteligência do hospede e depois achar que um pedido de desculpas e um doce de brinde vai substituir duas noites mal dormidas. Lembrando que estávamos no verão de 36°C.

Passamos uma noite, estava chovendo muito e tentamos jantar no próprio hotel, que estava vazio, fomos informados que estava lotado com as reservas, porém ao sair do hotel restaurante estava vazio e ao retornar muitas mesas vazias! Infelizmente essas coisas deixam a desejaram, mas a localização é ótimo e o quarto também, porém muito escuro, tanto quarto quando banheiro. Mas hotel é bom!

Great location in the historic city center, a short walk to all the major sites and restaurants. Hotel has only a few free spots for parking, but there is pod parking across the street. Reasonable at 10€ for 24 hours. Hotel bed was comfortable and as usual, the room was on the small side. The highlight was the roof top swimming pool that was really spectacular. Challenge was seating as it did get quite crowded. Nice buffet breakfast with a good selection of both hot and cold items. They use Nespresso so you can make a great coffee! We would definitely stay there again when we go back to Guimaraes.

The hotel was probably one of the best when opened. Now it has gone some years and the rooms have started to wear down. Golden pleating on things as bathrooms buttons etc have worn off making it look not so nice. Above my headboard there were lots of handprints, high all over the wall. This made me quite uncomfortable. I know a lot of people use hotels for various activities, but I don’t like to be shown so graphically what has been going on. Either the hotel needs better cleaning or a remodel because the freshness of it has worn off. If remodeled, please stop with the separate hot and cold faucets. They never kept the temperature and it was a constant waiting and juggling for water to not be burning hot or cold. Said that I did feel very welcomed and relax upon arrival. The hotel itself is beautiful with a lot of attention to detail(initially). One other thing that bugged me was the big mat in the common area that was crooked and no one seemed to notice. A little thing, that brought down the impression. Breakfast, I preordered vegan breakfast, even double checked with staff the day before it was all sorted. Come morning, and there is no vegan breakfast. Kitchen has not been informed. Had dry bread with only jam(there was milk in the butter)as my only option for spread. They did sauté some vegetables for me, but I would have preferred a standard breakfast. Breakfast staff didn’t speak English and communicated with everyone in Portuguese regardless of nationality.

Hotel bem localizado, porém em uma rua estreita e não possuem estacionamento, foi dificil conseguir vaga para estacionar na região. Atendimento muito bom, equipe prestativa e simpática café da manha dentro do padrão. Quarto limpo porém escuro, cortina toda furada com aspecto de velha, longe de um padrão 4 estrelas. Em geral,um preço bastante elevado para o que oferecem.

Passamos duas noites em um quarto em que o ar condicionado só fazia ventilação sem esfriar. Tinha mofo no teto na entrada do quarto. O ‘técnico ‘ nos disse que era assim mesmo e que estava funcionando sim (???) Como na terceira a noite o cheiro de mofo estava insuportável decidiram nos dar um quarto decente e com ar funcionando plenamente. Só não fomos embora na primeira noite porque já estava pago. É de uma falta de bom senso primeiro subestimar a inteligência do hospede e depois achar que um pedido de desculpas e um doce de brinde vai substituir duas noites mal dormidas. Lembrando que estávamos no verão de 36°C.

The property was beautiful and very well done from a design standpoint. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the free breakfast was great. 24 hour gym, nice indoor pool. The location is also good - very historic, quaint, and walkable to several dining and cafe options. Only negatives were that our refrigerator didnt work and the parking was very limited.

Passamos uma noite, estava chovendo muito e tentamos jantar no próprio hotel, que estava vazio, fomos informados que estava lotado com as reservas, porém ao sair do hotel restaurante estava vazio e ao retornar muitas mesas vazias! A notre arrivé un accueil un peut brouillon sur la communication, peut être du fait de la fatigue.... Puis arrive à la chambre surprise terrasse privatif déchets sur la petite table, la vitre de douche coincé impossible de la fermer ou ouvrir donc peur de la casser bilan la douche prise de l'eau partout donc serviette blanche par terre à chaque fois.... Donc je reviens à l accueil pour avertir de tt cela, ont me dit que c'est pris en compte et qu'il fessait le possible, bilan tt le séjour sans rien faire, averti une 2 ème fois.. Tjrs rien.. J'ai laisser tomber...la chambre disponible des le matin vers 8h tout les jours, revenu vers 14h après manger pour une douche ou sieste toujours pas faite.......faudrait attendre jusqu'à 17h30 voir un peut plus pour cela.... Et juste le lit de fait.... Les déchets de dehors sur la table des précédent client tjrs la...... A croire qu'il était presser !!!!!! Pourtant a 4 personnes à chaque fois !!!! Le soir vers 23h30 concert de piano super !!!!!!! Notre chambre était au RDC..... Enfin et j'en passe.... Je suis très mécontent de cette établissement vue c'est ses marque de prestations..... Je le recommande pas.

Já a área de spa é um caos, funcionários perdidos, acessos, controle de toalhas, agendamento de massagens, etc, tudo bem estressante, uma multidão a utilizar, barulho, saunas pequenas (cabem apenas 2 pessoas em cada), é para sair correndo... Café da manhã bom, com variedade e qualidade. Boa localização, dá para fazer tudo a pé. Não há estacionamento, mas tem opções próximas, ou mesmo na rua.

O hotel é muito bom, quarto confortável, boa estrutura e ótimo café!! O estacionamento é bem limitado mas conseguimos uma vaga depois de estacionar na rua e ficou tudo bem. Da pra fazer tudo a pé a uma curta distância, recomendo esse Eurostar em Guimarães

Il y a un parking privé payant (10€/j) juste à côté de l hôtel et facile d accès. Piscine intérieure avec SPA et piscine extérieure mais eau fraîche pour début octobre. Great location in the historic city center, a short walk to all the major sites and restaurants. Hotel has only a few free spots for parking, but there is pod parking across the street. Reasonable at 10€ for 24 hours. Hotel bed was comfortable and as usual, the room was on the small side. The highlight was the roof top swimming pool that was really spectacular. The hotel was probably one of the best when opened. Now it has gone some years and the rooms have started to wear down. Golden pleating on things as bathrooms buttons etc have worn off making it look not so nice. Above my headboard there were lots of handprints, high all over the wall. This made me quite uncomfortable. I know a lot of people use hotels for various activities, but I don’t like to be shown so graphically what has been going on. Either the hotel needs better cleaning or a remodel because the freshness of it has worn off. If remodeled, please stop with the separate hot and cold faucets. They never kept the temperature and it was a constant waiting and juggling for water to not be burning hot or cold. Said that I did feel very welcomed and relax upon arrival. The hotel itself is beautiful with a lot of attention to detail(initially). One other thing that bugged me was the big mat in the common area that was crooked and no one seemed to notice. A little thing, that brought down the impression. Breakfast, I preordered vegan breakfast, even double checked with staff the day before it was all sorted. Come morning, and there is no vegan breakfast. Kitchen has not been informed. Had dry bread with only jam(there was milk in the butter)as my only option for spread. They did sauté some vegetables for me, but I would have preferred a standard breakfast. Breakfast staff didn’t speak English and communicated with everyone in Portuguese regardless of nationality.

The property was beautiful and very well done from a design standpoint. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the free breakfast was great. 24 hour gym, nice indoor pool. The location is also good - very historic, quaint, and walkable to several dining and cafe options. Only negatives were that our refrigerator didnt work and the parking was very limited.

The downside is you’ll need to pay for spa services daily to use the pool. Hot tub is luke warm and the steam room could use eucalyptus or something to give it a spa feeling. Would be nice if pool access didn’t require a spa service. Also cap purchase required if you didn’t bring your own.
