La Quinta by Wyndham Morgantown

Very clean rooms. Helpful staff. Even had decorations to help set the mood to celebrate the WVU graduation weekend (had popcorn, special drinks, and decorations). Very easy location on the freeway to the mall and the Pavillion.

While the hotel room itself was nice, the bathroom kind of gave me the ick. The faucet of the sink had a black film around it which looked like mold. The corners of the bathtub were red with soap scum. The pillows were tiny and not very comfortable. The bedsheets were too small and kept falling off. All of this is unfortunate because I’m sure the hotel jacked up its prices for the room because of it being graduation weekend.

First the good, staff was amazing, friendly and helpful. Breakfast, good variety, great staff, fresh. We had a lovely view out our room window. The bad, room was not clean, had not been vacuumed after the last guest. Shared areas were also very dirty. It was graduation weekend so I understand not being able to keep up, but we stayed 2 nights, there were Cheetos in the elevator that were never cleaned up, floors outside elevator were covered with dirt, were not mopped all weekend. The carpet was very dirty. There was mold on the bottom of the shower curtain and black sludge around the sink and bath fixtures. We paid a premium for 3 rooms to it being WVU graduation, 3xs the average cost. Besides being dirty the hotel was not well maintained, for example the door handle to the pool fell off in my hand. The gym door lock was also broken.
