I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to vacation on LOA. Its nestled in the Garden District, but Lyft/Uber got us to the Quarter in like 12 minutes tops. Staff was super awesome and I highly recommend letting Tyler make you a signature cocktail of his choosing :)

Free parking on the street, secured parking would have been preferable. Brian our arrival host very helpful and engaging in his conversations. Refrigerator (with small freezer) in the room would be a nice touch.

The ambience of HH far exceeded our expectations. The room took our breath away! Personal attention is the mantra. Staff are friendly and attentive. It has the friendly feel of a B&B, only without the breakfast. It is one block from the St. Charles Streetcar and within walking distance to countless restaurants and shops. The setting and people are amazing, but know that there are few typical amenities (our room had no tv or phone, there was no breakfast offering except free coffee/tea, no pool/fitness). But it trulynis perfectly located to experience the best of NOLA! Can't wait to go back!

We had a wonderful stay! The staff were all engaging and helpful. Bed was really comfortable. Room was very nice. Location was perfect. Cocktails were tasty. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a fantastic stay at the Henry Howard in the Garden District! Great neighborhood with easy access to everything in New Orleans. Lots of street parking so this wasn't an issue. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Check-in efficient. The beds were very comfortable. Great variety of TV stations. Internet was fast and easy. Rated a little lower on comfort since walls were a little thin and could hear everything outside but wasn't a big deal for us. We had a front room with a balcony which was a fantastic place to relax at the end of the day. Would recommend this hotel and will stay here again the next time we are in New Orleans.

The concierge handled some uncommon requests perfectly. For my return flight, the airline preferred an on line check in, which is also more convenient for me. In order to print my boarding pass, the hotel let me use thier printer..

Recently stayed at the **Henry Howard Hotel** in New Orleans and really enjoyed it. It’s in the Garden District, so you’re away from the noise of the French Quarter but still close to great restaurants and shops on Magazine Street. This was our first time in New Orleans and on a previous residents advice, wanted to avoid staying in the French Quarter due to the crowds/noise factor. We feel fortunate to have found this gem in the beautiful Garden District. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful and our room was roomy, comfortable, and very clean. They have a bar, and for a couple of evenings, we enjoyed our delicious cocktails on the front porch. The cable car (1 block away) or Uber can be utilized to get to other destinations, and many restaurants are a short walk through the neighborhood of beautiful antebellum mansions. We highly recommend the Henry Howard Hotel.

I would have given it a "5", but for one glaring detail; there is NO BREAKFAST (despite being advertised as such). They put out coffee and orange juice, along with one edible item (a sort of muffin sized piece of cinnamon bread/roll... which since one of us is diabetic and the other can't do wheat, made it inedible). So we had to drop about $80 on three breakfast meals elsewhere. No explanation nor solution offered by staff. Also (unrelated) the tiny elevator has to be manually called by staff for the couple times we had to use it when moving luggage. And FYI, no on-site parking... street parking only (though that was not an issue) Otherwise....a beautiful property convenient to lots of restaurants (walking to or driving to, on Magazine Street) and walking around the garden district. Staff is very nice. Room was beautiful (though the bathroom...tub only...was what you might expect from a 19th century conversion. I would certainly recommend to anyone, especially if you are looking for a unique (non corporate) environment. Just aggravated (still) about being misled about the breakfast.

The location and charm are great but the room we got was extremely small. The queen bed we had booked, ended up being a full and our feet were hanging off the end. There was also an extremely bright light shining into our room that the curtains weren’t able to block. In terms of cleanliness there were beard hairs on the sink when we walked in. I would book the Chloe or the St. Vincent that offer a pool and breakfast for the same price point next time.

This hotel is absolutely one of the best we have stayed in. It is in the beautiful garden district and close to the St. Charles Streetcar and many wonderful restaurants. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Bruce greeted us when we arrived, handled our luggage and gave us wonderful suggestions on where to eat and what to do. He is a wealth of information on the area. We spent a couple of hours just walking around the neighborhood while on the lookout for interesting houses such as Anne Rice, Jefferson Davis, Sandra Bullock and more. Tyler and Hethe were wonderful throughout our stay and at checkout. Thank you for the tea and extra chocolates in the evening. The hotel has coffee, tea, orange juice and wonderful muffins in the morning. We loved going right across the street to have breakfast or lunch at Aquila Bistro. The owner, Yasmin, is very special. We highly recommend this hotel.

We all(2couples) greatly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is quiet and distinguished. The staff is friendly and helpful with a good knowledge of how and what to do, see and eat in NOLA. The beds are very comfortable, and they give you clean towels everyday, just like in the good old days.

The hotel was quintessential New Orleans - beautiful architecture, lovely quiet location in the garden district and easily walkable to many areas. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious enough for 2 and clean. We would definitely stay here again!

Our first time in NOLA and we're so happy we stayed in the Garden District and found this gem! This place is beautiful and the staff is amazing. We staying in a King suite, lots of room, super clean, comfy bed and linens. Others mention the noise, yes there is some street noise but I travel with ear plugs for sleeping and had no issues. Great coffee/breakfast place right across the street, walkable to the street car and other restaurants (one street over). We took evening strolls through the neighborhood after dinner to just look at the amazing historical homes. We would def come back!

Our stay at Henry Howard was delightful. We loved it so much we ended up cancelling another reservation we had elsewhere for our 3rd and 4th nights of our trip and just extending our stay at HH for two more nights. It was clean, quiet, and the staff members were so friendly and helpful.

The rooms are beautiful, the hotel itself was very clean and kept up nicely. The staff was very accommodating and their customer service impeccable. It’s in the garden district so it’s easily walkable. We had the queen double room with the canopy beds. The room was spacious and the beds were perfect. There is a little cafe across the street which was very handy. The food was awesome. I highly recommend this property if you’re planning a trip to New Orleans. Oh and it’s down the street from the Buckner Mansion. If you’re an American Horror Story fan, you’ll know.

The staff is great, the rooms are pretty, and the beds are comfortable. The AC above our bed was hard to take - the vents are pointed right down toward the bed, making it very uncomfortable and they have the temp. control locked in a box. We did ask for the room to be cooled down, and they did, but was hard to make it comfortable due the direction of the vents.

The history of the property was unique. The room was very spacious and we enjoyed the front porch!! It would have been nice to have a small restaurant within the Henry Hotel.

We only stayed one night. Staff was amazing! Room was very nice with very high quality bedding. Keep in mind that when the HHH is full you will hear others just like you would in a hotel. After spending the week in French Quarter we came to the HHH for peace and quiet and some well needed sleep. I wish that housekeeping could start a little later. Vacuums started outside our door while we were still sleeping. The owner was very gracious and refunded the balance of our stay. If possible book an upstairs room and stay away from rooms near exit doors. We were told after we checked out that noise cancelling measures are available and offered at turn-down service, however we had just arrived so we didn't require a turn-down service. Overall this place is a great place to stay in the Garden District and walking distance to Magazine street.

The reception desk is very close to rooms on the first floor (which is where I was). Being an older building, there's not much sound insulation. You can hear conversations as if you were in the room with people.

We had a fantastic stay at the Henry Howard in the Garden District! Great neighborhood with easy access to everything in New Orleans. Lots of street parking so this wasn't an issue. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Check-in efficient. The beds were very comfortable. Great variety of TV stations. Internet was fast and easy. Rated a little lower on comfort since walls were a little thin and could hear everything outside but wasn't a big deal for us. We had a front room with a balcony which was a fantastic place to relax at the end of the day. Would recommend this hotel and will stay here again the next time we are in New Orleans.

We thought this place was just great. Great building, big room, big bed, helpful staff. Many things to do within walking distance, and it's two blocks off the streetcar to the French Quarter. We would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are beautiful, the hotel itself was very clean and kept up nicely. The staff was very accommodating and their customer service impeccable. It’s in the garden district so it’s easily walkable. We had the queen double room with the canopy beds. The room was spacious and the beds were perfect. There is a little cafe across the street which was very handy. The food was awesome. I highly recommend this property if you’re planning a trip to New Orleans. Oh and it’s down the street from the Buckner Mansion. If you’re an American Horror Story fan, you’ll know.

My wife and I had an amazing stay at the Henry Howard Hotel. The hotel has a lot of charm and character, the location is convenient to everything in the Garden District, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting New Orleans who doesn’t want to stay in the French Quarter.

I would have given it a "5", but for one glaring detail; there is NO BREAKFAST (despite being advertised as such). They put out coffee and orange juice, along with one edible item (a sort of muffin sized piece of cinnamon bread/roll... which since one of us is diabetic and the other can't do wheat, made it inedible). So we had to drop about $80 on three breakfast meals elsewhere. No explanation nor solution offered by staff. Also (unrelated) the tiny elevator has to be manually called by staff for the couple times we had to use it when moving luggage. And FYI, no on-site parking... street parking only (though that was not an issue) Otherwise....a beautiful property convenient to lots of restaurants (walking to or driving to, on Magazine Street) and walking around the garden district. Staff is very nice. Room was beautiful (though the bathroom...tub only...was what you might expect from a 19th century conversion. I would certainly recommend to anyone, especially if you are looking for a unique (non corporate) environment. Just aggravated (still) about being misled about the breakfast.

Nice little hotel in a more quiet part of New Orleans. It was still easy to get to the French Quarter by 30min walk or 15 min uber. We never used the street cars bevaise they were closed for a couple days due to an unusual snowstorm, but that option was a block away as well. The hotel was nice and quiet. I did bring earbuds for sleeping and my husband used the sound machine app on his phone because other reviews had said they could hear noise from other guests, so we had no issues with that. We were close to restaurants/shopping on Magazine St. and St. Charles Ave. Tons of coffee shops to choose from. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall a great stay.

The Garden District is a wonderful area to stay in NOLA. Beautiful tree lined streets with historic homes nearby. Trolley 1 block away to take you to the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter. Would definately stay again.

Small hotel in the garden district. 1 block away from the trolley and 20 mins walk to the Joey k’s restaurant. The people are very friendly and professional. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful homes with Christmas decoration.

This was our first time in New Orleans and on a previous residents advice, wanted to avoid staying in the French Quarter due to the crowds/noise factor. We feel fortunate to have found this gem in the beautiful Garden District. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful and our room was roomy, comfortable, and very clean. They have a bar, and for a couple of evenings, we enjoyed our delicious cocktails on the front porch. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to vacation on LOA. Its nestled in the Garden District, but Lyft/Uber got us to the Quarter in like 12 minutes tops. Staff was super awesome and I highly recommend letting Tyler make you a signature cocktail of his choosing :)

This hotel is absolutely one of the best we have stayed in. It is in the beautiful garden district and close to the St. Charles Streetcar and many wonderful restaurants. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Bruce greeted us when we arrived, handled our luggage and gave us wonderful suggestions on where to eat and what to do. He is a wealth of information on the area. We spent a couple of hours just walking around the neighborhood while on the lookout for interesting houses such as Anne Rice, Jefferson Davis, Sandra Bullock and more. Tyler and Hethe were wonderful throughout our stay and at checkout. Thank you for the tea and extra chocolates in the evening. The hotel has coffee, tea, orange juice and wonderful muffins in the morning. We loved going right across the street to have breakfast or lunch at Aquila Bistro. The owner, Yasmin, is very special. We highly recommend this hotel.

Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Bruce greeted us when we arrived, handled our luggage and gave us wonderful suggestions on where to eat and what to do. He is a wealth of information on the area. We spent a couple of hours just walking around the neighborhood while on the lookout for interesting houses such as Anne Rice, Jefferson Davis, Sandra Bullock and more. Tyler and Hethe were wonderful throughout our stay and at checkout. Thank you for the tea and extra chocolates in the evening. The hotel has coffee, tea, orange juice and wonderful muffins in the morning. We loved going right across the street to have breakfast or lunch at Aquila Bistro. The owner, Yasmin, is very special. We highly recommend this hotel.

My sister and I loved this charming and personal boutique hotel. The actual hotel was full of character and well-designed. The staff was accessible and friendly. It was clean which is a big deal to us. There was a great coffee shop/market across the street for easy access, but we also grabbed a coffee downstairs in the lobby as well. This place aligns perfectly with the local color of New Orleans. We loved it!

A lovely building and super friendly staff. We had a double room with balcony, but the balcony was disappointing as you had to duck under a window to get onto the balcony and the furniture out there was very basic with no cushions like the photos. Also breakfast is only coffee, juice and a single type of pastry so not really a full continental breakfast. The room was lovey but overall I felt that it wasn’t great value for money.

This was our first time in New Orleans and on a previous residents advice, wanted to avoid staying in the French Quarter due to the crowds/noise factor. We feel fortunate to have found this gem in the beautiful Garden District. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful and our room was roomy, comfortable, and very clean. They have a bar, and for a couple of evenings, we enjoyed our delicious cocktails on the front porch. The cable car (1 block away) or Uber can be utilized to get to other destinations, and many restaurants are a short walk through the neighborhood of beautiful antebellum mansions. We highly recommend the Henry Howard Hotel.

I would have given it a "5", but for one glaring detail; there is NO BREAKFAST (despite being advertised as such). They put out coffee and orange juice, along with one edible item (a sort of muffin sized piece of cinnamon bread/roll... which since one of us is diabetic and the other can't do wheat, made it inedible). So we had to drop about $80 on three breakfast meals elsewhere. No explanation nor solution offered by staff. Also (unrelated) the tiny elevator has to be manually called by staff for the couple times we had to use it when moving luggage. And FYI, no on-site parking... street parking only (though that was not an issue) Otherwise....a beautiful property convenient to lots of restaurants (walking to or driving to, on Magazine Street) and walking around the garden district. Staff is very nice. Room was beautiful (though the bathroom...tub only...was what you might expect from a 19th century conversion. I would certainly recommend to anyone, especially if you are looking for a unique (non corporate) environment. Just aggravated (still) about being misled about the breakfast.

Loved this hotel ❤️ Chose it because it was slightly out of New Orleans but easily enough to get the trolley car into and out of the hustle & bustle of city life! Very modern, great staff and perfect little restaurant across the road for breakfast (The Rabbit Hole). Would stay again if in New Orleans 👍👍👍

Worked perfectly for our family. Great property with an authentic sense of place. Easy street parking. Walkable to Magazine St. and to some of the nicest restaurants around. Was REALLY disappointed with the excessive noise outside of the hotel which began each morning at 7 AM. Clearly the hotel management knows about this but made no mention of it when I checked in. This disruption adversely impacted my stay in a significant way. I was also disappointed that the lobby area did not have any place to sit and use a laptop, for example, or even eat comfortably.
