I expected much better service from a hotel of this caliber. I arrived shortly after 6:00 p.m. on Sunday and had a disappointing experience at the front desk. I had specifically paid for a suite and told the front desk attendant three separate times that my reservation was for a suite. Despite that, I was initially given a room with two beds instead. He eventually corrected the mistake and moved me to the suite I had paid for, but when I got there, the room was missing bed sheets. I understand that the missing sheets were probably not his fault, but what bothered me most was his attitude throughout the situation. He seemed very uninterested in helping and extremely nonchalant, as though the problems were no big deal. I understand it was a Sunday evening and perhaps not the easiest shift to work, but guests should still receive attentive and professional service. When you're paying extra for a suite at what is supposed to be a higher-end hotel, you expect the service to match the price and reputation. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. The hotel may look upscale, but the level of service I received that evening definitely did not feel upscale.
