Old style motel 2 story all facing the parking. I could keep an eye on my van. I liked it, it was clean, tidy and the owner was friendly. He told me if I needed anything at all he was there 24-7. Super quiet!!

Easy in and easy out of the parking lot staff live there 24 hr. not far from the cold springs park. or if you are a biker the hideout is only 5 miles down the road.

Close to I-10, shares the exit with a nice rest area that allowed a safe walk around the perimeter. Hotel room was clean, adequate. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

This is an old motel but has been very well taken care of. Super clean. Even the baseboards were clean. There isn’t much to do here or restaurants but 15 min up the road has plenty. Owners were very nice and accommodating.

The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The area was quiet so The was no noise to disturb. VERY cold AC. Microwave and refrigerator were a wonderful amenity. The staff were so friendly and ready to provide whatever was needed (extra linen, clean up if needed, etc). Very good stay.

The man at the front was very nice and polite. He was the better part of the stay. I noted the room as being dirty and saw several roaches. The price for the room was a bit high for what was offered and the age of the amenities. The extra star is only for the nice man at the front. I enjoyed our conversations, but will not be returning to this motel.

A very clean room. Everything in the room functioned properly. Nice and quiet. Great staff. I've stayed at 3-4 star motels where the rooms were not as nice as they were at this motel. I talked to another guest and he said his room was as nice.

The property was misrepresented on the Expedia website. It looks like a 1950s 2-story motel, with all room doors opening to the parking lot. 20 min drive to decent food in DeFuniak Springs. The “rating” online had to be from paid shills. The only thing we liked was that the rooms were clean and didn’t have any odor. And, it was very quiet, probably because there were few guests. I paid $90 with tax?!! I could have/would have stayed in DeFuniak for $20 more were it not for the high guest rating posted on this property.

Owners are very nice and accommodating. Our reservation didn't show up in their system but they still honored everything. My daughter really wanted a 2nd floor room and they happily gave us one. The room was clean and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the refrigerator. My only complaint is the shower head. It sprayed every which way unless it was in the center high-pressure setting.

Well….the room was clean. That’s about all I can say. I asked for a king bed, received two double beds. Had to sleep apart from my fiancé because we did not fit comfortably on a double bed. The AC GRINDED all night. Could not sleep it was so loud. There is no internal room lock. Only a latch. We arrived at 11pm and the check in was through a window with barely an inch gap and I could barely hear the gentleman checking me in. Will not be back. I read the reviews previously and I don’t know who or what was leaving these reviews.

The property was clean, staff was very nice. Tv didn’t work, internet was spotty. The property is located by 3 gas stations, and a wayside rest. The only place to eat is at a Big Boss Deli, gas station food. As a solo traveler with my dog, I didn’t feel unsafe but will probably not stay here again. Again the rooms were clean and the staff was very nice.

It’s a nice place to stay. We were able to check in late. But we’re short on towels and when we went to get more no one could be found. There was also a stray cat that kept trying to get in our room and was under your feet the entire time you were trying to pack your car. The room itself is nice and with your regular things fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and hair dryer! This was our 2nd time staying here and I think I’d stay again. Overall 8/10

The Managers were very friendly and very honest. I forgot a ring on the bathroom counter and they stopped me before leaving to give me the ring I had left in the room. This ring used to be my Mother’s. Thank you very much!

They accidentally gave my room away! We did check in at 10 something, yet there was my name with a line through it when we showed up. We ended up getting one king bed, which isnt optimal but better than nothing. Clean room, nice people.

The owners and staff work their tails off to keep this place clean and inviting. We had no issues, beds were comfy and room has exactly what you need. Very friendly and informative about the area when I had questions. Keep up the great work and hope to see you again soon!!!

Even though the motel is older, it was clean, the water pressure was good, the ac worked well. It had a microwave and small fridge which was perfect. The owners were very nice! We were there just over night because family members were at the RV park and we visited them. The RV park was just up the road, so this motel was convenient. Also we walked to Big Boss subs and deli for our breakfast sandwiches and they were delicious. Also had their cheese steak and meatball subs for dinner and they were delicious as well.
Even though the motel is older, it was clean, the water pressure was good, the ac worked well. It had a microwave and small fridge which was perfect. The owners were very nice! We were there just over night because family members were at the RV park and we visited them. The RV park was just up the road, so this motel was convenient. Very convenient to Vortex and Morrison Springs. Short drive to Destin, FL. Approximately 10 miles to lots of restaurants and shopping. Rooms had been remodeled and were clean.

Nothing fancy, but based on other travelers’ reviews, this seemed to be the best option anywhere in the area. The only negative was that there were no restaurants in the immediate vicinity; we would’ve had to get back in the car and drive to another exit to find restaurants. But the room was clean and comfortable, had a microwave in a mini fridge and coffee maker, And everything seem to be in working condition. It’s just far enough off the highway that we really didn’t hear any highway noise.

This is my second time staying at the property. It is a nice and quiet place to stay with only a short drive to the beaches around Panama City. It is also a short drive from the Falling Waters and Florida Caverns State Parks.

The owners were extremely nice, the room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Two things to note, however: (1) The couple of local places to eat closed earlier than when we arrived at 5:15 on Sunday. We had to drive about 10 minutes to another exit to get food. The property was clean, staff was very nice. Tv didn’t work, internet was spotty. The property is located by 3 gas stations, and a wayside rest. The only place to eat is at a Big Boss Deli, gas station food. As a solo traveler with my dog, I didn’t feel unsafe but will probably not stay here again. Again the rooms were clean and the staff was very nice.

This property is easy to get to while traveling. It was older, but clean, updated, and cute. We walked to the second gas station down and got delicious food from a Deli. We would stop here again if we are passing through the area.

Very convenient to Vortex and Morrison Springs. Short drive to Destin, FL. Approximately 10 miles to lots of restaurants and shopping. Rooms had been remodeled and were clean.

Nothing fancy, but based on other travelers’ reviews, this seemed to be the best option anywhere in the area. The only negative was that there were no restaurants in the immediate vicinity; we would’ve had to get back in the car and drive to another exit to find restaurants. But the room was clean and comfortable, had a microwave in a mini fridge and coffee maker, And everything seem to be in working condition. It’s just far enough off the highway that we really didn’t hear any highway noise.

The property was misrepresented on the Expedia website. It looks like a 1950s 2-story motel, with all room doors opening to the parking lot. 20 min drive to decent food in DeFuniak Springs. The “rating” online had to be from paid shills. The only thing we liked was that the rooms were clean and didn’t have any odor. And, it was very quiet, probably because there were few guests. I paid $90 with tax?!! I could have/would have stayed in DeFuniak for $20 more were it not for the high guest rating posted on this property.

Rooms extremely clean. Staff super nice and helpful. AC worked so well. But the beds were the selling point super soft and comfy. The only downside is the shower is set up for shorter people. I'm 6'4" and the shower head hit me dead center on my chest when pointed up as much as possible. But I can live with that.
