Clean well kept property at a very affordable price. Room door unfortunately had only a single bolt lock and the back door was open with no key lock entry. This general area is very safe in Wisconsin, but security could be improved. The adjacent breakfast restaurant was not open nor was the coffee machine in the lobby working on the morning of our stay. If you are looking for an affordable, clean hotel this is wonderful though.

GREAT hotel was clean and quiet. It's a mom and pop but was still a high standard and quality. Theming was fun. Would stay again. Pool was the right temperature. Hardly anyone there but was told the property was fully booked for the night. Maybe some rooms get blocked off for the winter? Parking lot was big and empty. Great for parking RV's and trailers. Great Access to Frank Lloyd Wrights.

Coffee machine in lobby was handy. Pool looked nice but I forgot my swimsuit. Staff was friendly. It worked for us. We saw two plays at American Theatre players. Walls were thin so you could hear your neighbors.

Stayed two nights while visiting The House on the Rock. Friendly front desk, the room was clean and spacious, had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker. The first night it was kind of loud as we heard TV in the room on the other side, their TV must be just by our bed, the 2nd night was quiet. The coffee shop inside the barn was cozy and had a good selection of coffee and pastry. Overall nice place to stay.

My room was comfortable and exceptionally quiet. I liked having open space outside my window, seeing birds and bunnies. The bathroom area was basic but enough for me as a single person. Front desk people were helpful. People seemed to enjoy the pool and rec area.

I and my sister have stayed here twice now, and have received great service both times. We brought our electric bikes along and did not want to bring them up the stairs so we left them alongside the building in the back. I called the front desk to let them know, and they put one of the cameras on them and watched them whilst we went into Madison. Great customer service, great rooms. This is my go-to spot when I visit Spring Green! Thanks again!

Our room was just wonderful! The air conditioning was already on before we got into our room. The decor was rustic. The rooms seemed to be recently updated, because even the carpet in our room looked very clean like it hadn't been walked on very much. We had a ceiling fan that was great at keeping the air circulating. The women at the front desk when we checked in and out were fantastic! There also was a great place to eat right across the street, so the location was convenient.

Pleasantly surprised. Nice place. Not new or "ritzy" but clean and roomy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only minor complaints were wi fi worked in lobby but not in room; and bed was a little too firm. The coffee shop next store is mediocre for breakfast.

I booked the place because it said it had a whirlpool tub and a coffee shop. A note above the tub said whirlpool was disconnected, stopper removed and shower only. the coffee shop had a note that it was closed until further notice do to staffing. If we would have known we would not have picked this place.
