Rooms were a mess. Cob webs, mold, broken tv, open electrical boxes, hard bed, lack of changing/ cleaning sheets, clack of clothing storage space, “pool” 2.5 feet deep. Pool only open til 7 pm, broken chair, Internet issues, scuffed/ dirty walls

Excellent hôtel avec un très bon rapport qualité prix. La 1/2 pension est excellente : entrée, plat, dessert + boisson. le personnel est admirable de gentillesse. L'hôtel est un peu excentré des activités mais si vous avez une voiture de location : pas de problème (parking payant à 40 real par jour). Par contre, le fait que l'hôtel soit sur Barra était pour moi un gros plus : calme et sécurité des lieux. Barra et sa plage sont très agréable. Le nettoyage de la chambre au top ! Petit déjeuner exceptionnel avec toujours de la quantité. Franchement très bon. La piscine sur le roof top est pas mal (manque juste un peu de profondeur, mais cela est un détail). A proximité : restaurants et supermarchés... Je conseille fortement cet hôtel pour ceux qui veulent de la qualité au meilleur prix surtout avec la 1/2 pension. Un grand merci tout particulièrement à David qui a mon arrivée m'a tout expliqué, et cela en Français.

Hotel é bonito, quarto de tamanho bom, limpeza ok. Porém tivemos vazamentos no quarto e no corredor de entrada, chegando o chão ficar molhado. A tampa do vaza estava quebrada. Os elevadores não carregam muito peso. Nos horários de pico cheguei a ficar 15 minutos esperando elevador e pela manhã comecei a descer de escada… escolheria outro hotel na próxima vez.

Muito bom hotel, só não dou 5 estrelas por causa das toalhas. Não sei qual o problema, se é de secagem, mas as toalhas estavam com um cheiro horrível, durante toda a estadia. Espero que o problema seja solucionado.

O hotel é ótimo e a localização é boa. Os quartos são grandes e a cama confortável. O atendimento no restaurante do hotel é ótimo, contudo a recepção não é tão atenciosa, demoram para atender e parecem não querer atender. Na chegada às 12:30 hrs responderam bem objetivamente que o check in seria somente às 14 hrs, poderiam ter sido mais simpático e oferecido serviços do hotel, por exemplo, como uma alternativa. A limpeza do quarto tb deixa à desejar.

First time at this Hotel. The staff all provided great service. Lucineide cleaned the room and did a great job. I was a little disappointed by the food, the Club Sandwich I had was not great, chicken was tough and fries were soggy. Breakfast had a few dishes that weren’t great, scrambled eggs were sloppy and some of the bread was stale. Had a pizza and pasta both were good. Air conditioning was an issue, doesn’t matter what you set thermostat to cold air will keep pumping, 15c and lowering. I was told that the system doesn’t actually warm just cools, so if your room is too cold just turn it off. When it is cold outside there is no way to heat the room.

Die Qualität des Bettes war unzureichend: Matratze, Bettwäsche und Kissen wirkten billig und wenig komfortabel. Der Kühlschrank im Zimmer war sehr laut – ich musste ihn nachts ausschalten, um überhaupt schlafen zu können. Da er offenbar seit längerer Zeit nicht abgetaut worden war, war am Morgen der Boden vor dem Kühlschrank voller Wasser. Die Wände sind extrem dünn; man hört jedes Geräusch aus dem Nachbarzimmer. Das Handy der Gäste nebenan vibrierte die ganze Nacht, sodass ich mehrfach aufgewacht bin. Das Badezimmer erinnerte eher an ein Krankenhausbad als an ein Hotel dieser Kategorie. Die Lobby war sehr laut, mit dauerhaft lauter Musik. Zudem zog Zigarettenrauch von draußen ins Gebäude, ohne dass sich jemand darum kümmerte.

Hotel é muito bom segunda vez que ficamos hospedados, mas dessa vez tenho dois pontos negativos o ar-condicionado não estava gelando muito trocamos de quarto e ainda sim ele não chega em uma temperatura baixa, e o frigobar do segundo quarto só é bonito porque não gela as bebidas

Prós: - cama king - ar condicionado perfeito - isolamento acústico bom - café da manhã completo - recepcionista do café da manhã, um rapaz de calça preta e camisa cinza, muito educado e prestativo. Contras: - TOALHAS HORRÍVEIS, parece toalha de hotel 2 estrelas. Vocês deveriam ter VERGONHA das toalhas oferecidas ! - recepcionista mulher no café da manhã, uma moça de calça legging (!!!) preta e camisa branca. Merece mais treinamento para um bom atendimento. - não arrumaram o quarto na noite de sábado para domingo. Cheguei no hotel às 01:00 da manhã e o quarto estava como deixei, não pediram desculpas e não se importarem com essa falha, parecia normal pela reação do recepcionista. Tive ainda que descer para pedir toalhas novas, pois o telefone não estava funcionando direito. - atendimento muito INFORMAL na recepção. Ser carioca não significa ser desleixado na recepção de um hotel 4 estrelas.

This hotel has a nice lobby area and breakfast is good. Check-in was a nightmare and the staff did not seem at all bothered about shortening the line (I was in front and it took 30 mins). The rooms and floors are poorly maintained and not very clean. Towels are washed out and thin, and the water is lukewarm in the shower. Never again.

The property was nice in itself, room small, no smart tv, staff wasn't that nice. Check in took a while and we didn't even get a lot of information about the hotel still. We also had to ask 3 times for a dental kit before actually geting it. Gabriel had a bit of a bad attitude in the reception. Also they didn't inform us that only some of the water that they bring to the room is free of charge and Pedro in the reception still demanded the charge for 4 water cans. I myself work at the reception and in a situation like this some kind of compromise (for example charging only 2 and not 4) would have been professional and a very important gesture for a customer to maintain them happy and more likely to return. A lot of small things that don't make it likely for us to choose this hotel again. The staff never showed authentic politiness but seemed like they don't even like to work there. Only the housekeeping and the maintanence guy were actually nice and left a good feeling after encountering them. Some of the breakfast staff was also nice. But I would really work on on the reception proffesionalism.

I myself work at the reception and in a situation like this some kind of compromise (for example charging only 2 and not 4) would have been professional and a very important gesture for a customer to maintain them happy and more likely to return. A lot of small things that don't make it likely for us to choose this hotel again. The staff never showed authentic politiness but seemed like they don't even like to work there. Only the housekeeping and the maintanence guy were actually nice and left a good feeling after encountering them. Some of the breakfast staff was also nice. But I would really work on on the reception proffesionalism.

Clean hotel in safe area. Staff is nice, speaks some English. The on-site restaurant has quite good food. However, it is far from most attractions such as Copacabana, Ipanema beach, Christ the Redeemer , Sugarloaf…Even though Uber is cheap, the traffic is very heavy so it takes about 1 to 1.5 hour each way to go to the attractions. If you like less crowded beaches such as Pepe beach, this hotel is perfect. But if you like beaches with more activities like Ipanema or Copacabana you’d be better off staying in Ipanema or Copacabana area.

Rio seems to have a love for the word Tijuca. Barra Tijuca is quite a bit away for major attractions so be aware that you'll be taking Uber quite a bit, however to balance this, the atmosphere is calmer, the beach is less busy and the local shops are cheaper

Excellent service, staff was very responsive & courteous. Dinning option also great if you choose to have a lazy day during your Rio trip & just order in room service. Local transportation shuttle is also offered & a table with tour recommendations & sign up. Although a bit far from the main Rio things like Copacabana & such, I would prefer staying here because of the comfort & “affordable luxury” stay.

Excellent hôtel avec un très bon rapport qualité prix. La 1/2 pension est excellente : entrée, plat, dessert + boisson. le personnel est admirable de gentillesse. L'hôtel est un peu excentré des activités mais si vous avez une voiture de location : pas de problème (parking payant à 40 real par jour). Par contre, le fait que l'hôtel soit sur Barra était pour moi un gros plus : calme et sécurité des lieux. Barra et sa plage sont très agréable. Le nettoyage de la chambre au top ! Petit déjeuner exceptionnel avec toujours de la quantité. Franchement très bon. La piscine sur le roof top est pas mal (manque juste un peu de profondeur, mais cela est un détail). A proximité : restaurants et supermarchés... Je conseille fortement cet hôtel pour ceux qui veulent de la qualité au meilleur prix surtout avec la 1/2 pension. Un grand merci tout particulièrement à David qui a mon arrivée m'a tout expliqué, et cela en Français.

I would have given this property with a 4.5 stars, unfortunately, it’s not an option. Pros: - Check in was smooth, the frontdesk lady was absolutely helpful. She presented everything with clarity and efficiency. She also handed me my VIP access perks which is commendable. In other hotels, it’s either they’re unaware or I needed to remind them of such perks. - Breakfast was a delight and the reception lady was nice and accommodating. - The hotel presentation looks good and the interiors smelled clean. Cons: - One frontdesk personnel

The staff were unhelpful and definitely not a place to stay if you are an english speaking tourist. At times, they will not be able to help any requests and will speak about you to eachother in front of you. If asked for help, staff will leave to “fix the issue” and disappear for 10 minutes despite telling you it’ll be a few minutes. Upon retuning, they’ll greet coworkers, go behind the counter and “work” on stuff until approached again regarding request. Definitely needs better staff but otherwise, good and growing location, close enough to attractions. Generic requests are well received and most times, staff was great and helpful, just something to be weary about for anyone coming in with poor portuguese.
