Nice old hotel in the south part of Freeo. There was a good buzz & vibe in the hotel and we eat & had a few drinks after touring the sites of the city, on a hot day. There was a private function in one of the rooms, so music did go on until about 12:00. Not a big problem for us on a Friday night, but they have regular music; so maybe not for you if you want a quiet early night?

Big, bright and stylish...very comfortable and hotel feels detached and above the pub and restaurant - feels relaxing and yet all the advebture you want is beneath your feet. Will stay agin (soon i hope)

Terrific older beautiful building, gorgeous tastefully decorated floor boarding, spacious room with a lovely shared shower with great bar downstairs delightfully decorated. Only critique would benefit from having shampoo and conditioner in batriims. Lovely fluffy robe and slippers provided which makes the shared bathroom very simple. A grande old dame!

Very clean. Friendly staff. Simple, clean renovation of old hotel accom. Shared bathroom very pleasant. Very walkable area (though perhaps not for solo person late at night). Pub music/noise from downstairs a little loud when trying to get a little one down to sleep, however ended before 11/12pm.

The staff were so accommodating! I was able to check in a little early which was VERY much appreciated after such an early flight. They also held my bags for me for basically half the day after I checked out. The room was very cute and full of character. The shared bathrooms were very clean and never once was an issue. The ONLY thing I would caution is that the room are above the hotel's bar and restaurant. It's very loud at times if you're sensitive to noise and try to go to sleep earlier than 11:00pm.

Room was exactly what we needed. Windows were a bit drafty and bed was a bit creaky, but other than that it provided all we needed. It was nice to see a power board for more plug-in's other than just the single power-point beside/behind the bed!

Some people may be put off by the "shared bathroom" and that's probably a good thing, because those people will miss out on staying at this little gem! We stayed there recently for 2 nights over a Thursday & Friday night. The staff were friendly and welcoming, very relaxed vibe, beautiful venue. Upstairs rooms were all large to very large, air conditioned, ceiling fans, king size beds, warm bedding, bar fridge, etc. Really surprised they had bathrobes and slippers - more than most "real" hotels have! Loved the building it was in and the rooms were amazing. The bathrooms were very clean and generally had them to myself (as did my partner in the female bathroom) Multiple showers & toilets in the shared facility so no issue there either. The only thing I would mention is that while the rooms were far enough away from the main bar areas, and the patrons & staff were respectful, there was a little bit of noise that filtered through - soon as I popped ear plugs in fell straight asleep. We ended up staying again on a Monday night and as expected there was no noise, no need for ear plugs. Food downstairs was great, wide selection of craft beers, ciders etc. 10-15 min walk into "Freo proper" which was nice to walk off the dinner & Drinks when we hit up the breweries nearby. Absolutely loved our stay here and would DEFINITELY recommend.

Our first time staying here and what a joy ! We got there about 6pm so had to wait for bar staff to be free to help us check in but once served the staff were great! Very helpful and great instruction. We stayed in Rosie's room, close to the stairs but the perfect room with a street view. Love the old original floors in the room! Decorated well and the mattress was super comfy! Shared bathrooms were clean and modern enough for me ! We will definitely be staying here again in the future. Such a bargain, great value for money !

Great location and friendly staff! Heads up to future guests, the bar doesn’t open until around 10 (I think) so there isn’t anyone to check in if you arrive early in the morning. The hotel was exactly what we expected in a great location with local flair. Even with a bar downstairs open late, it did not disturb us one floor up.

Laid back vibe. Close to excellent dining options and laudromat within walking distance. The share bathrooms were very clean and well ventilated.

Some people may be put off by the "shared bathroom" and that's probably a good thing, because those people will miss out on staying at this little gem! We stayed there recently for 2 nights over a Thursday & Friday night. The staff were friendly and welcoming, very relaxed vibe, beautiful venue. Upstairs rooms were all large to very large, air conditioned, ceiling fans, king size beds, warm bedding, bar fridge, etc. Really surprised they had bathrobes and slippers - more than most "real" hotels have! Loved the building it was in and the rooms were amazing. The bathrooms were very clean and generally had them to myself (as did my partner in the female bathroom) Multiple showers & toilets in the shared facility so no issue there either. The only thing I would mention is that while the rooms were far enough away from the main bar areas, and the patrons & staff were respectful, there was a little bit of noise that filtered through - soon as I popped ear plugs in fell straight asleep. We ended up staying again on a Monday night and as expected there was no noise, no need for ear plugs. Food downstairs was great, wide selection of craft beers, ciders etc. 10-15 min walk into "Freo proper" which was nice to walk off the dinner & Drinks when we hit up the breweries nearby. Absolutely loved our stay here and would DEFINITELY recommend.

The room was lovely and bright with some nice touches to make it very comfortable - dressing gowns, coffee machine etc. The rooms are simple but charming. There was a bit of noise in the evening, but nothing to keep me awake. I loved being able to go down to dinner at the excellent restaurant. Staff were super helpful. The real draw card for me was the location - walking distance to the beach and loads of fabulous cafes!

I just stayed for one night and it was bliss,I have ran many hospitality venues in the past I'm also an ex chef I will say the local excess all expectations,the staff are great friendly and the food is amazing 10/10 will definitely be back!!

I loved the building....so much character. The di ing was excellent. Try the share lamb dish .....was soooo good. Staff great...we will be back. Oh and excellent value too

Nice old hotel in the south part of Freeo. There was a good buzz & vibe in the hotel and we eat & had a few drinks after touring the sites of the city, on a hot day. There was a private function in one of the rooms, so music did go on until about 12:00. Not a big problem for us on a Friday night, but they have regular music; so maybe not for you if you want a quiet early night?

Enjoyed a 3 night stay at this comfortable older hotel. Very comfy bed and lovely big room with big ceilings. Liked the heritage and chilled vibe of the place. Hotel also served good valued tasty food and drink. Share bathrooms were well stocked and kept clean. We were able to walk to Freemantle train station in about 20 mins. We found it a good base to explore Freemantle. Some nice cafes nearby as well. Liked that the hotel offered complimentary slippers. Room had all the amenities we needed.
